Everyone will have an opinion on this matter. Such is the diversity in business. Some will look at the member topppling the Boss and view it as a strike into the very core fundamentals of our being. Not only does it provide an example that any member in any family with a good gun might be tempted to follow, but it also represents a young turk approach to business. Perhaps traditionalists will find this concerning. That said, traditionalists might also have found TylerDurdens conduct in funerals concerning. Conduct that was unashamedly unapologetic and indeed was followed by an attempted justification. In times past an unguarded comment at a funeral brouygh about death. I don't believe the outburst I refer to was ever really forgotten in the minds of many.

As to the Durden family business spoken of here, I cannot comment as I have never in my life set foot in his HQ.

I would not read into anything said here. The family I represent has views on this matter as wide and varied as the community as a whole. There are many talking points. None of which will change the fact that what's done is done.

Stylo', on the grounds that Tyler broke one of the rules in this thing of ours, wouldn't that suggest that he needed to go away? I mean, look around you, look at peoples tags, all big on respect if you look at them. When a thug disrespects people on the streets there's never a problem with someone taking the back talker out, even praised for it, so why the big commotion over this particular stiff? The guy pissed on graves and even told others it would be okay to do so aswell...his rank doesn't disqualify him from the rules Mafiosi live by.

I'm just glad to see someone had the balls to stand up and call Tyler on it. So the guy risks his life to preserve the mafia way and is rewarded by the bosses with a position of power, I'm happy with that.

"None of which will change the fact that what's done is done."

That can be said about everything that happened in the past. The question is not what is done, but much more what will or for that matter what will not be done in the time to come........

On the other hand, Sledge, we are not trying to get this undone, but to discuss the matter itself at this moment and, even with our light weight in this balance, try to decide what should be done from now on. It's not a dead matter, It's a still bold one.

IMHO shooting your leader is something I can not agree with. I was even joking on the other day in the coffe shop about how unthinkable is this happening.

I can be wrong, but having the wide knowledge I have from my ancestors, reading heir diaries they kept safe and clean for all this years, I never read anything like that in 5 years of mafia organisation. Never someone shot his own, talked about it publicly and was not only spared but authed.

Anyway, this is my personal view not my families oficial, that shall be stated by Mr Giaquinto himself.

Stylo - Im saying that if one of his members has a problem then he/she takes it to their CL. If that doesnt work then they take it to another CL and get them to speak to them about it.

No you don't! Take your problems with your Boss to another CL? Jesus Christ, good lord, and all that is holy. Have you ever heard of Omerta? Please never share an HQ with me or my descendants.

You know AP, you had no right. Period.

It does not matter what Tyler did. Wanna know why?

LOYALTY

If you knew that he was going to have some crap fall on him, you should have TOLD HIM, but no matter what, LOYALTY is #1. And you betrayed your leader.

I don't see how anyone can trust you now.

Just my 2bits.

I don't view this issue as a black and white one. I wish it was. To support this action can lead to criticism for supporting a rogue. To go against it can lead to being accused of paying no heed to the facts in this case.

When I say what's done is done. I mean this. Not as empty rhetoric but as a fact of business. The action took place, the man who usurped his Boss lives. Making an attempt to categorise this action after the fact neglects to consider the respect and support AP obviously had to pull this off. The fact that he isn't dead already should speak volumes for how this situation is likely to play out. I have already outlined the two opposing arguments. I don't believe talking further is doing anything more than airing your own personal views, but by all means indulge if necessary.
Report Post Tip
Why is it that when someone has the "balls" to do something about the situation in our world, so they buy out of a crew and then set up and start shooting at crew leaders, they are known as idiots. I've seen street threads telling people what these rogues are about to/are doing, yet this doesn't excuse them.

So why is this not true of this guy...

Utter... bullplop.
Report Post Tip
I am just a little earner, the more info I get the less I understand. So to get a little education the following:

"to consider the respect and support AP obviously had to pull this off."

Question: Support from who? Is he a rogue or isn't he?
Report Post Tip
And he was all talking about "Don't worry, i'm ONLY going after Tyler"... um...

Look how many people died because of YOUR actions AP.
Report Post Tip
Precisely WackMe, look how many of US died...

My father was awake yesterday and instead of "saving" him, by telling him your plans....you just selfishly did your deed without warning resulting in his death.

And please remember people, this is the same right hand man that would duel Tyler's members while he was the right hand man. He cannot be trusted indeed.
Report Post Tip
Apparently he was only looking out for his best interest, himself. As he took the life of his former Boss, it didn't even occur to him that the members he once led were to die like Tyler.

Don't let him pretend like he did anyone a favor. A lot of lives have been lost due to AP's thinking of removing a Boss. Those are the cold hard facts.
Report Post Tip
"Mr. Tyler had a track record of putting the Family at risk. For instance, Disrespecting Funerals then telling his family to "Piss on the Funeral" as well."

Hmm, and as the RHM of that crew you didn't put the crew at risk by killing Tyler? Yeah, I'm sure you were "concerned" with what happened to the members. That's why you didn't shoot them before you killed Tyler...pppffftt. Also, when Tyler disrespected the funerals you defended him at the time. Notice how I said *at the time*, because that was how long ago that he did that? And you are killing him now for the mistakes he made back then?

And if you want to talk about endangering the crew...why don't you tell all the people how you would duel members of the family while you were RHM and our hitsquad leader. Please tell them the truth since we are airing out dirty laundry. And I would love to know your other "reasons" for killing Tyler seeing as what you stated above is not substantial enough.
Report Post Tip
Pissing on funerals?

That's terrible... I am for a lost of words, I do not know what to say.

*walks away unhappy*

WackMe i agree to an Extent what your saying yes Loyalty does come first but what good is Loyalty if its only going to Elimination as for those unsponsored of the Durden Juggernaut who Died Rest in Peace and Excuse my Callousness but sometime you have to sacrafice the few for the good of the many
Report Post Tip
A.P I know you did what was right in your heart man and that is all that counts. You judged the situation and fought a man who you trusted with your life

For those who doubt mister A.P None of us knows what happened behind the closed doors of Mr Tylers Head Quarters. I am sure there is more reasons as to why he was taken down but A.P has decided to not release that informations, as is his right.

If we look down the street thought I heard Oliver McTavish has made a speech about Mister A.P having the right to remain in and run LA. If you hurry up and run you may just catch the finally of Mr McTavishes speech.
Report Post Tip
You know what pisses me off?

All this talk about 'auth'. AP went out and acted, he didn't wait for a load of nobodies making a decision, he took decisive action and now has his own crew. I take my hat off to the bloke.

We live in a violent world brothers and sisters, things like this happen.

He didn't like it and he had the balls to get up and change it. Its the way it should always be!
Report Post Tip
So, let me see if I have this straight...

Someone didn't like the way a CL was running his city, and rather than wait for a war in which he would inevitably die, he stepped up and took the city instead?

What the hell's been going on around here? That sounds a hell of a lot like the mafia to me, quick, someone cuddle me.
Report Post Tip
MilkyBarKid you are right and you are wrong. This is the mafia and sometimes stuff like this happens. It shouldn't have to come to it, but every once in a while it does. I support AP to the fullest and i know that He will make LA a strong city and a proper place to live.
Report Post Tip
Hmm.

On one hand, loyalty is everything. You should really never do anything against your crew, especially not kill your CL. Such an act is, in my opinion, inexcusable.

On the other hand, you were doing what you thought was best for your crew, and that is also extremely important.

Quite a weird situation, no?
