Marley than notices a Goomba in the alley making a drug deal. He walks over, punches the Goomba, and takes $5000 large from him. Heading back out the alley Marley sticks his foot out and trips up some Earner walking down the sidewalk just for a giggle which quickly disappears.  Wiseguys all piled up on the corner speaking non-sense just trying to get noticed by their boss and maybe a lil button or something to pin on their jacket.

Shut the fuck up you losers. I don't want to hear your stupid tales about you how you ran in the bank, took all the money, shot 3 people on the way out, and stole a police car before killing the mayor.  Sheesh......

Marley notices a Mademan getting a group of guys together to commit a crime as a team and watches as they all go to jail.  Marley sakes his head and keeps walking while flipping off some Capo talking about pickpocketing and trying to make a already made point.

Marley takes a moment to flip off a CL for not including him on his "DWL" and reminds one of his hands he will never be able to fill PizzaTheHut's shoes or should I say crust. Marley then knocks down some guy and says, "I don't want your damn coffee!!"

I guess I too could earn power and a strong hold over groups of people and have them work for me.  Damn-it I should eat more and talk less.  On a lighter notes, some of you have skin of a windbreaker and will feel as if I'm pointing certain people out. I'm not, I'm just high right now and will vent like this once a week from now on.

Marley steps down off the Don, lites a joint, and heads up the street only to looks back at the shocked crowd and say

I have to say, I'm somewhat offended being refered to as a "dumb ass Boss" by a Made Man on a high power trip.  I worked hard for this rank and I didn't have to insult anyone to do it.

I would like to point out to you that this power they hold is power they worked their asses off for.  They didn't get where they are "sit[tin] back like fat cats" nor did they by running off to the streets making a complete ass of themselves.  They have paid their dues to society and look where it landed them, at the top of their cities.  Now rather than bitching about the power and respect they earned, why not go out and try to earn some one your own.

I can understand why some people might take issue with the gibberish Marley has spouted out here in regards to various Friends of Ours. I myself am one of the Mafioso caught in the crosshairs of his speech, or at least that is how it would appear. But like our stoned Friend Marley has stated it depends on how thick one's skin is whether or not one takes offense to others' words on our streets. History has proven some people are more sensitive than others in This Thing of Ours.

Anselmo looks back over at the stoned Marley and waves a fist at him. "Why you..." he begins to say, but instead bows his head in a moment of silence to pay respects to the great fallen Mafioso PizzaTheHutt

I believe Mr. Marley's critiques were largely leveled at people who either (I think I caught all these): proclaim ridiculous stories that are possibly fabricated, storm the streets as wise guys and fill it with worthless drivel to try to get noticed (and made), fail crimes, and speak repetitively and contribute nothing to a discussion.

It also seems like his major issues are not with any particular Consigs, Dons, or Godfathers, but rather a general indictment of men and women who have risen to a rank by adhering to boring, unimaginative, cookie cutter support of their boss. Or who have achieved a place of ultimate power but prefer not to utilize it through action.

Unique individuals seem to be an increasing rarity in this world. While I may not always agree with Mr. Marley's methods or particular expressions, I think his intentions here are laudable, if I've interpreted them correctly.

What i'm hearing, is that you're discouraging street activity? Sure, some of these stories and speeches could and should have a little more thought put into them. However, I highly doubt most of these people are just going 'to shut the fuck up' because you seem to think you're better than them. There are people out there encouraging street activity, and then we have people like you who come out here with their nonsensical rants and feel the need to discourage people who might be newer to these shores.


You also go on to say how the Godfathers sit on their asses like 'fat cats' not doing anything. I've seen Godfathers making public appearances quite a bit lately. Also, if they wish to sit back and oversee their cities they have every right to. They worked their way up to the positions they are in, and can now reap the benefits. Each Godfather has earned the right to use their position how they see fit to benefit their cities. It's interesting that you're talking the way you are about Godfathers when you're serving directly under a GF crew.

I feel partly responsible for the fact that nobody has shot you yet.

Perhaps my ability to glide effortlessly around controversy and insult powerful mobsters has paved the way for other, less reputable characters to follow. Seemingly your only purpose here to attempt to prove that a complete lack of respect, indeed 'disrespecting yo azz' as you've termed it, is acceptable conduct from a Made Man on our Streets.

I believe this has stemmed from the bad example set by me. What I manage to do is achieved with the tolerance and consent of the participants. Anyone who approached me and didn't appreciate a joke or requested not to be mentioned, have never found themselves mentioned by me again. Although, nobody to date has come to me demanding an apology as most of those included find it pretty amusing.

With all this said, what I do is an attempt at humour, albeit I admit, brushing up against the lines of acceptability from time to time. I do stress it is poking fun at the minority for the amusement and entertainment of the majority. It is for this reason, I believe that what I do is tolerated.

Despite all that, I fully accept the consequences of what I produce and believe that I am accountable for every word that we say. Ultimately, I've long since accepted the possibilty that if we miss the mark with a joke, we could catch a bullet for it and I would go to my grave accepting that fact. You, sadly, have tried to mitigate this by claiming you aren't mentioning certain people, when that clearly isn't the case and that you're just high and need to vent. Disappointing. If you have the balls to disrespect Dons and Godfathers, don't try to run for cover straight after.

There are some thinly veiled references to people within this, particularly in the re-enactment and the 'flipping off' of a crewleader. I think you know that these are not going to fool anyone, which is why you've made an attempt to squirm away from accountability. Accept responsibility for your words.

Anyway, I won't bother getting on my high horse and turn into a colossal hypocrit, because I'm not particularly offended. If, however, you don't get shot for blatant disrespect made to others as a result of this, you should definitely spend a few more minutes worshipping your Gwarble shrine than usual. Without the Barble, as in the past, you would certainly have been in hot water for this.

Although I do agree that the originality to many speeches isn't there anymore I think you could have worded your feelings a bit differently old friend. Then again you always were the blunt one.

I sort of get this.

You have not attacked anyone but you have attacked everybody. With the reference to people with skin as thin as a windbreaker you have basically said only the easily offended will see themselves within this speech. It covers your arse because you can turn it round on anyone who can identify with what you have said and call them paranoid..

I also get why you did it after a reply you gave in the streets a few days ago. The whole "You'll let me insult anyone" thing. It could have been great. It could have been cutting and to the point. It wasn't. It was vague and wide of the mark. I almost feel let down..

Yeah, umm Scandia, I'm going to have to go ahead and disagree with you on that part of covering his ass. Just saying only the thin skinned would see themselves in the speech doesn't make it so. He did call all the Dons and Consigs and so on's fucking sugar foots. The problem is that no one knows what the fuck a sugar foot is so how can anyone take offense. Then that dumb ass boss's comment. Only a dumb ass would say it was him or her, but I don't recall it being a wise thing for a made man to disparage bosses in general. Then there is the asswipe gem, in that he meant every one of us, no doubt on that one. So we are asswipes to Marley, who cares right? I think we all know what he was going for, but he was way off the mark. Instead of hitting his target, he sailed wide and landed in a compost heap.

But the point I am making is that he insulted everyone equally and as such never made a personal attack on any one person. That was the cleverest thing he did.

He has taken a swipe at some Dons and some Consigs. But the swipe will only register with those that agree with what he says and relate it back to themselves. He doesn't actually point out people.

He points out actions that have taken place. These are not unique actions. Most of the ranks could associate theselves with what he describes. Take the Don "I agree with my GF" alls it takes you to think you fall into that bracket is talking after your Godfather gave a speech about a war, new rule or auth. You are in there but not by name.

This speech was almost like a toe in the water. See who would bite. See if the audience were there and smelling the bait. Some wolfed it down and off you went. Not that I blame you because what was said could be taken in many ways. Personally, if it were anything to do with me, i'd be having words. But it isn't so unless I shoot him, which isn't going to happen, whats the point in giving him what he wants and getting my panties in a bunch?
