The Day I came to the Big apple Started by: Champ on May 20, '10 21:32

Champ, while it took me quite a lot of my time to understand this and since I am too lazy to do anything other than talk to you, I would like to comment on this story of yours.

There are a lot of obvious mistakes in your story probably the result of poor research.I,however am not going to sit here and emphasise on all of them as it would take too much time. However,I want you to know that you should do a lot of research before you launch into a so-called 'story'.Please keep that in mind.

Well Chump, looks like the Rock has got a story to tell to you based on the success of your very own life story.

Baa, Baa, Chump-Chump,
have you any wool?
Yes sir, yes sir -
Everyone thinks you're a fool:

One for the Tyrion,
one for the Gwarble,
I'll bet you're on the deat list,
of next week's lame ass Barble.

Hey diddle diddle, lolcat did a piddle,
Gwarble's cow jumped over the moon,
Bossdog laughed to see such sport,
Don't worry you'll get it right soon.

Hickory Dickory Dock,
The mouse ran up the clock.
The Rock struck one,
And the other two wailed on Chump's Candy Ass!

Chumpty Dumpty sat on a wall.
Chumpty Dumpty had a great fall.
All of Gwarble's horses and all Gwarble's men
Couldn't put Chumpty together again!

Little Boy Chump has lost his mind,
Meaning his head is devoid of Mass.
The Rock will help, shinning them up real good,
Sticking them straight up your Candy Ass.

Chump he had a little Lion,
Its name was Simba the Lion Tamer,
I wasted my life Listening to Chump,
Could his life story be any lamer?

It seems some are desperate in this day and age to try and keep the streets quiet, and others are challenging the authenticity of your tale. It is a shame that they didn’t take a little time to research before they attempted to make a name for themselves in challenging your own story.

To the person who thinks it takes months to travel across the Atlantic, I guess it would if you swam, or took a sailing yacht or a canoe. Now bearing in mind the sister ship to the Titanic took just over 5 and half days to cross the Atlantic on her maiden voyage I really don’t think 12 days to get across is massively over budget.

I must congratulate you champ and a nifty bit of luck to steal $20 from that Irish chap who had been sent the money from America but I am sure you will repay that debt tenfold to the Irish in New York.

I haven't read your story but i am going out on a limb and say it was shit and i have saved myself 10minutes of my life that i will spend staring at a wall, which is probably better spent than reading your story.

To end on a positive note, Gwarbles entry was ace; short, sharp to the point and excellent ending.

Report Post Tip

Well, Romeo Levenstein. While I am one for the speaking of the masses I am mad a bit sick when people cannot even choose the proper words.

For Example:

As a child, Champ often waited for the local farmers to tend there crops so he could burgalarize there houses. Champ saw there struggles

I think the word you were looking for is their and not this is but one of the many gramatical and structural errors in this story.Yes, I know we are mobsters and we should not be bothered with things like Grammar but then it seems to be a must in stories.

Why, what do you mean you can't read something I have read in the streets silly bear.

You people are all clearly insane. How can you even begin to pick apart such a masterpiece? Sure there some words being used wrong and the punctuation is an atrocity the likes of which we haven't seen since the great war but look past that and you have an epic tale of Shakespearian proportions! Ok maybe the facts aren't all right but the character development is impeccable! I laughed, I cried, I scratched my balls. Truly this is the finest work ever to grace these streets and I, for one, applaud Champ. For he truly is the finest author of our time. Bravo!

Seriously i would retire from ever speaking in the streets untill you actually know what you are saying.

Your sentence doesn't make sence for one, i can't read something you have read? When did i say that? I will assume you are talking about your "story" (pushing the boundries of the meaning there) which I never said i CAN'T read your dribble of a story but rather i WONT as i have better things to do.....like singing!

Kilroy happens by to see HugglesBear arguing with a dead body. He stops to ponder the scene for a moment and overhears what HuggleBear is saying. He taps Hugglebear on the shoulder.

I think you mean sense.

Kilroy continues on his way.

Mango is walking down the street and notices a big mass of people on a street corner arguing once again.

"My what is it with the folks lately, always just arguing with each other. I wonder what they ever get done in a day with all of the arguing they do."

He walks up to further investigate and there is someone standing beside Champ recapping his story beside what looks to be a dead corpse.

"Well if this is Champ's original work, I'm impressed with it coming from him. He has finally shown some of us that he has some talent, I'm glad. Too bad though that hes just laying there not moving though."

Mango turns and walks away from the crowd, sort of in a confused state, not really sure what was going on around him.

Wow this goes down as one of the top two speeches of all time... NY contest was good as well, but this one tops the range... Kudos to you, champ, you are well off the charts! Oh and I am a fan of HuggirlBeetch..

Report Post Tip

Don't be so bloody elitist Zeus.

Consider the possibility English isn't some peoples first language, age issues and things as simple as basic education. It is people like you that make me wonder why we ever get anyone talking in the streets.

Report Post Tip

Romeo I can see your point but... This is a guy that said that he had won many awards for his art work and had labelled himself as a "Master Storyteller". The fact that this story was poorly structured and poorly researched is the reason for such harsh comments.

Report Post Tip

Okay Champ, there's a contest just up the street calling all story tellers. Now, in all fairness go and show them what you've learned and take that first place prize.

Report Post Tip

Well, Romeo Levenstein. I am not being elitist in the least.English is not my first language either and I am of the younger generation of mafioso and I know how hard it is to speak proper English in the group of people who have learnt it naturally and now I can, but I have never forgotten my roots and I know it would be unjust to judge anyone by their standard of English, but, and this is a big but, Champ here was telling a story, a story in English mind you which is supposed to be in proper English.I have no problems with anybody who has improper English opening a debate or asking questions but when I do see someone starting to tell a story in improper English and then open it up to the public's scrutiny.Well, that to be frank, turns my stomach.

Way to talk in a giant circle, defeat your own argument, and prove Mr. Levenstein's point for him Zeus.

Report Post Tip

Excume me,Anselmo?

Report Post Tip

I said 'way to talk in a giant circle, defeat your own argument, and prove Mr. Levenstein's point for him Zeus.'

I think Mr. Levenstein brings up an excellent point. There is way too much nit-picking in the streets. I'm not quite sure how one can tell the difference between 'their' and 'there' in spoken verbal dialect. We are not English Majors. We are criminals. Many of us, myself included, dropped out of school to pursue a life of crime. If you want to jump on a street bandwagon and thrash somebody for attempting to entertain the masses with a story, you should follow Hugglebear's example and criticize the content of the words being spoken. Not the spelling of them.

The Gods have made it so that we cannot 'take back our words' so-to-speak when we stutter or when they come out wrong. This is a good thing, in that it makes us accountable for what we say and forces us to choose our words wisely before speaking them. If a word comes out pronounced incorrectly, consider it a stutter or an accent from the mother-land.

Besides, if we were all judged by our grammer and spelling errors, you would most likely be chastised for your usage of the word 'Excume', as opposed to 'Excuse', which is detectable through spoken dialect. Again, you've just defeated your own argument.
