Thank you for explaining why you went to war with my Fathers city. I am not mad I just wish to join you and prove to you what I can do.

Report Post Tip

All i can say is.... BRAVO!!! Long lives CHICAGO!!! Brillant attack!

Report Post Tip

Rich- listens to SpaceMountain the stands and applauds!!!! Long overdue.

Report Post Tip

Anyone whining about not being able to have their say in the street is being mighty disingenuous.  You just have to be intelligent enough to be able to say what you want without outright insulting anyone important.

Insulting Hoopi is allowed though, as far as I'm aware.

Marley puffs his joint

Well you guys know I'll always be a asshat, foul mouth, or whatever you want to call it. I'm Marley!

Ow, by the way, good take down. I just which I could have been awake to kill a couple of you fuckers! =]

Good job LA,NO, and Chi, but honestly I think we could have killed all 3 cities if we were awake. I must say this was planned very well because I didn't see this coming. Could've been because of the reasoning, but either way it was good timing.

Report Post Tip

Tony applauds SpaceMountain.

You did what you felt was needed. You planned and executed your attack well and came out on top. You lost some very much beloved people and this is something that is worth the risk when it comes to profit and gain and the betterment of your business. I wish you future luck on your business ventures and congratulations on your victory today.

Report Post Tip

I like a forward message. No candy coat it or anything. You just wanted 'em dead, and you could do it. Bam.

Report Post Tip

No candy coating, but plenty of candy asses. My Father and his special brand of 'Brick to the face Diplomacy' would have liked that. His death surved a greater purpose as he knew it would.

Congratulations to Don Space Mountain and the rest of the Victors. My father would be proud to be standing here today with you all, if only to be able to make reference to HermaphroSamurai dying so early.

Report Post Tip

what about the members of philly that are higher than wise guys?

Report Post Tip

They all die

Report Post Tip

Just to give an update - Nostalgic has shot at my guys, thus forfeiting any protection we've offered.

The funniest reason I have seen for a long time in MR.

I still remember that Tyrion thread about encouraging people in the streets, and I guess now it is best not to speak in the streets, because that might cause you your life. So it is better to lock your lips and play this game.

And saying about it has been a good victory (it makes me laugh ) three against one, and without any warning, even an idiot would say who will win.

In a way, I can understand your bitter feelings about losing your father in the war. It is a very natural human reaction. I did not know your father personally, so I have no reason to believe he was anything other than an Honorable Man. GRHS.

Point being, this was not personal. It rarely is in This Thing Of Ours. Like my Godfather SpaceMountain stated, Philadelphia was viewed as a potential threat to our businesses, and therefore our attack was a matter of business as well. I personally held no ill-will towards CrazyNine. In fact, I felt sad for him in many ways. He just tried too hard to be taken seriously. Demanding apologies in public that never came had to have been embarrassing for him, and exclaiming things along the lines of "...but Philly is also powerful!" when it wasn't relevant to the discussion screamed desperation. It is my personal belief that when somebody is trying that hard to validate himself, especially after suffering various humiliations in front of the people that look to them for leadership, the potential for them to try something aggresive is very high. For anyone that followed the discussions in the streets, it was fairly obvious that tensions were mounting between our cities.

To your point about Tyrion encouraging people to be active in our streets, I am a firm believer that we continue to learn in Cosa Nostra. From generation to generation we should never stop learning. Perhaps if anything, the kin of the fallen in Philadelphia will learn from their ancestors what not to do. This is not an insult. Becoming a good public speaker takes practice. I would never knock somebody for trying their hand at street speaking.

To be honest, one can't even really blame CrazyNine's cronies for following suit. Many were just following their Godfather's example. AfroSamurai, Advantage, Snip, all of them would have been better served not speaking at all instead of deliberately picking unneccesary arguments they were ill-equipped to pursue. Not to mention, constantly taking comments made in the streets as personally as they did, as if the comments were made about them specifically when it was obvious to everyone else that they were not, is a sign of ego. Ego can be a dangerous thing in The Mafia, as is evident by the demise of CrazyNine and his city.

Take my dearly beloved and devilishly handsome Don Gwarble for instance. The man is a brilliant wordsmith, and can get his point accross in both a diplomatic and charming fashion. Those in Philly who chose to be outspoken and vocal lacked the charisma neccesary to be an influential speaker, and instead came off as crass and boarish. Maybe that is an unfair comparison. We can't expect everybody to have the same level of intelligence as Gwarble. Again, as is evident by Philadelphia's demise.

I do however disagree with you comment about our victory not being a good one just because it was three cities attacking one. The fact that three cities came together to attack one is either a testament to the power that Philly was perceived to have held, or an indicator of how other cities all shared the same disdain for their incessant bafoonery. Regardless of the reason, the bottom line is that it's never personal. Just business

Rest in peace, the fallen of both Los Angeles and Philadelphia

RF appears from his HQ knackered from the events that took place this morning.

We came, we got pissed off, we conquered.!

I believe that statement fits the situation perfectly.

Now Chi never had much of a beef with Philly as far as I know. But I personally had a run in with a member of the Godfather family and the way he spoke I am surprised he wasn't gunned down where he stood for the speech he gave. Making references to my dear Godfather and my bud Scandia, although not directly naming them doesn't mean the intention wasn't there. Then when I saw defence of this speech coming from another high ranking Philly member I truly believed the hypocrisy had to end and to be given the opportunity to be involved in the end of it, I am grateful.

Katherine reads everything that had been written before.

All I have to say is Rest in peace to the fallen of Philly. Many of whom will always hold my heart for what they have done for my mother.

As for the victors..

They say history is written by the victors, but no one can say much if they weren't flies on the walls so I will not argue if it was a good reason or a bad one. I

Feeling slightly better she gathered her belongings and carried on with her muggings of old ladies.

I really just wonder why you had to be so lame about the whole thing.  I would rather I had come to these streets today and heard of no explanation at all, rather than hearing that three separate cities had to ban together in cowardice to shoot at my mother while she slept. When did this become the norm?  When will these street see an actual war again instead of an elaborately planned middle of the night take down.  There has been an awful lot of talk recently about what is honorable and what is not.  I have kept myself out of the discussion because I see no use in circular arguments, but I feel some discussion is warrented here.  Is this plan of "getting enough guns from as many cities as we need to so that we can find and execute a "stacked" city and avoid any losses of our own" approach honorable?  Is cowardly the new business regime?

Report Post Tip

Yeah, you're right, we should've given you a heads up so we could've had a right old mash up and both suffered large losses. I mean, that's how the pros do things. Why on earth would we move in a way that gives our members minimal risk.

Alas, here we are, amateurs and cowards. Still, at least we're alive - for the most part. How did it work out for you? Thought so.

Report Post Tip

You're right.

Next time what we'll do is notify everyone well in advance, pick a time where the most people are online, walk our 10 paces and just have ourselves a right old party. It'll be great. We can have a picnic too, I'll bring some sandwiches.

...Get a grip.

Please show me historically where the mob didn't do hits to suit their purpose. What would you have done? Would you have invited all of Los Angeles to shoot at Philly in this "war" Crazy Psychopath admitted to trying to convince the Philly upper structure to start?

Of course not.

You would be here, telling us about your glorious removal of Los Angeles in an elaborated planned middle of the night takedown. Terrible that, when reality gets in the way of a good old cry.

Report Post Tip

Can we stop with these gay picnic's :|

Report Post Tip

Well, I guess we'll stop inviting you.

Report Post Tip

Ahem. I'd like to formally announce that I'm taking over Delaware at the next most convenient time. Which will be midnight on the second Tuesday of ShutTheFuckUpDay.

Moving on to better and more important things, kudos to SM, and the other aforementioned cities on a swift and clean take-down. While I regret the loss of many of my friends lives on the opposing side, it is still nice to see someone take charge and go balls-to-the-walls in an overnight take-down. (Not in any way referring to Gwarble and Hoopi's love life, heyoooo.) Rest in peace fallen soldiers, while your city is destroyed, your souls... No, they got destroyed too. Soz
