Leveling Cities: A Less Ordered Way To Do Business? Started by: Kuku- on Jun 05, '17 15:03

I was wandering down OOC Avenue the other day, some young upstart was shouting into the night, suggesting a really ineffective way of taking on an exceptionally powerful CL.

Yeah, well, good luck with that.

But it got me thinking...  For as long as I can remember now, powerful cities and crews have attacked other cities and crews, killing every single living person there.  And then it's all over, the attacking side losing a couple of guys, the economy losing tens of millions and maybe a bloodline or two retiring.

Same as it ever was.

But...  What if something different was done?

Open your minds.  City A instead attacks City B, taking out their CL, both hands and a couple of hitters and then, City A holds it's breath and announces a general amnesty and protection order for the members of City B, directing them to a Safe HQ in another city.

For safely's sake, maybe make them check in their gun.  Heck, maybe even charge them some cash for the ability to continue doing business and holding onto their BGs and CAs.

Thing is, for all the talk of order, most people have their businesses and are making good money - they don't want to throw that all away for the sake of City or Crew honour.  Some diehards will want to go down with the captains - let them.

But it makes excellent business sense to take hardworking, earning people and diplomatically assimilate them into new crews.

Now it would take a City with extreme firepower, balls, brawn and leadership to start this.  And, for what it's worth, I think that exists in this thing at this time.

It would make a fairly radical and exciting change.

What do y'all think?
