I’ve played a few games and I’ve seen hate for specific players. The disgruntled player(s) gets in character and steps up onto the almighty soapbox and tells the community why they feel a leader needs to meet their maker sooner rather than later. The community gets involved in the debate and eventually change happens. I embrace that kind of freedom of speech and find it to be a layer of the game that makes it very interesting. The point of view of those within the community can be enlightening or sometimes laughable, either way everyone has the right to their time on the soapbox. What I don’t agree with and have seen an entire game wounded over, is when a player chooses to stand on their wallet to seek revenge. You may feel superior and even a bit taller but that’s just taking the easy way to get your way. It’s human nature to be tempted by the almighty dollar and some could really use it, but when the fattest wallet rules a game it kills the whole dynamic not just for the person it’s directed at but the whole community. I sympathize with your frustration but targeting someone that has a right to play, just as we all do, by tempting others with cash money is not something I agree with.

The almighty dollar runs this game though wether it be ingame currency or credits for ingame currency it is not odd to have someone offer up a real life cash reward to do something in a game what I do find interesting is he claims to have this disposable income but seeks to put no effort into building a gun to do it themselves or even price they have a disposable income which could only help their case. I'm all for playing the game itself but please if you want someone dead offer up ingame bonuses only, wire the cash to Izzy tell him to pay whoever kills disorder create a trusting middle man who can ban you if you prove fake or support the transaction if you are legitimate

Money doesn't run the game, it keeps the game running. Offering cash money directly to a player does not benefit the game or help pay for future improvements. I see no reason why Izzy would want to be the middleman for a transaction that has no benefit to the game at all. All it would do is send a message to strong, dedicated players that they are not wanted here. In my opinion it's the equivalent of players banning players. 

You're right that money doesn't run this game from a player perspective. I'd suggest friendships and enjoyment of the game play a far more important role in making people want to play.  I know that has always been the case for me and I have historically been one of the game's less affluent players. 

I'd have to strongly disagree about it sending a message to dedicated players that they aren't wanted here. In my experience strong and dedicated players remain that regardless of external financial influence. I am aware that my current position is broadly opposed and a lot of people resent my current formidable standing in the game, thats the nature of the game. I'm also aware that the vast majority of these players' views on me are confined to this alone.

I don't believe many would be foolish enough to continually resent the player behind the character once the character dies and I become a random Goomba like anyone else. Sure, there will be a considerable effort by some to prevent me attaining the position I now have again, thats natural. But those people won't be foolish enough to resent me as a person. The same as I don't resent any of the players I have killed over the years. Indeed, most of the people who have presented the most challenging opponents are the people I would place most value on as members of the community.

This place is nothing without opposition and challenge. I've appreciated regimes that oppressed me as much as I've appreciated those I've been a part of. Its what makes it what it is. Without quality players working against you, were is the fun? If you don't embrace and respect the challenge of a worthy opponent, you can never complain about being unsuccessful here. I get asked about my position and I would always say (about me or anyone else who's been in a similar position), you can't be where I am if you don't have two things;

1: Very talented and dedicated friends around you.

2: A significant amount of respect for those that oppose you.

This turned out to be far more of a soap-box morning than I had planned but I'll stand by it. You can throw money around as threats and you can do all manner of other things. What makes this game what it is will not be affected by it. This place is magnificent if you have the eyes and intellect to look at it for what it really is. And over the years I've found the more you look the more you appreciate it.

No, I'm not buying it. You were offered a way to prove you are genuine and get what you want. I was interested to see how this played out and discover if you would take the opportunity to prove your integrity, but I'm no longer convinced you're genuine.
