| Closing down Casinos | Started by: JoeKing on Jul 22, '17 20:30 |

Nothing really LuckyLucy. If you own one the only difference from admin ones are that you can lower or raise the amount per each bet, and roleplay, that's about it. So it's basically impossible and kind of useless to own one, which is why I made this thread. |

Okay now THAT is something you can work with. Let me put my thinking cap on. I'll get back with you shortly with a few ideas on how you can turn this lemon into lemonade. :) |

JoeKing, as a one time favor, I will gladly take back the XP, we can figure out the cash, and we can reverse the purchase and it goes back to admin owned. We took on the casinos because the users were unable to keep the doors opened, even when they were cheaper. The casinos are profitable, VERY profitable in the long term, the risk comes if you will die before you cross that threshold. |

If I may be so bold...
I agree that the 120 million dollar price tag may be a bit much. Of course I'm basing that on my own amount of time I spend in a casino which is, honestly, very little time... Perhaps they're worth it in the long run as Squishy says and seeing he's Admin, I'd say his word is probably quite reliable. However, what if we made Casinos able to be bought by ANYBODY not just people from that Casino's city (Perhaps at an increased rate). For example, JoeKing own(ed) LV's casino. He wanted to expand and drop more money on the CH casino to further his potential profit by owning 1/3rd of the casinos in the country. Perhaps buying casinos OUT of your home city costs 150 million rather than the 120. Or it could even be that the price of casinos increases with each casino you own... I.e, Home city costs 120, next one is 140, next 160, and so on. Perhaps more. But making Casinos not solely based on your home city would increase their value in being able to practically "Monopolize" earnings in a large area of the country or, if you've got the funds, the entire country... Make them like Drug fronts where you have to pay "taxes" or something on the casinos you own and if you miss a payment, your assets are seized and you lose that casino... Just an idea on a way to improve their value, importance, and profitability while also not letting one party COMPLETELY monopolize without risk of losing control of them by not paying "taxes" to the government to run them and allowing other parties to swoop in and buy them.
How's that sound? |

I really like this post, and I am completely for the Player bought casino's only. If there is a city such as DT, then by all means admin! NPC away.
It does add quite a bit of dynamic to the game. It's an absolutely huge investment that should most certainly pay off. You should be able to set up in any city you want. Obviously there would have to be talks between the buyer and the Chairman of that city. |
