I think all the Godfather (1,2 and 3) are great.  Otherwise many HK mafia movies are not bad also :)

The Godfather I and II are the best mafia movies. There's just no getting around it. However, that's too obvious of an answer, so I'll give a shout out to one of my favorites that is less obvious: A Bronx Tale.  Anything with DeNiro in it is golden, and the story and action are all great. Also, the story is sort of on the periphery of the mafia, not right in the middle of it, which is different from most other mob movies.

Best mob representation is the Godfather. 

However, I really enjoyed Gotti(1996). The newer Gotti movie showed the sons side of things however the 1996 showed the rise and fall of gotti in the 80's-90's

Godfather one for story. Departed for action. The untouchables for when you want to see banks getting robbed :P

I think pretty much everyone agrees that Godfather is the best mafia film ever, with a few honourable mentions for Casino, Goodfellas, Godfather 2, Donnie Brasco etc., so I'll change the question slightly:

My favourite British gangster movie is Snatch. One of Guy Richie's best - great cast and really funny.

No doubt that is the Godfather-movies

I have seen a few I could give the title to but likely have to go with The Godfather.

My favorite was titled Mobsters and I like Hoodlum 

I feel like the godfathers is still number 1 period and I see all three as one movie but that might be just me lol I couldn't watch them out of order so that's the main reason I would see them as one movie. I think the sopranos as a show came close to being my favorite mafia movie/shows but the godfather is still top dog for me.

I would also have to agree with the Godfather.   Love the way it goes from past to present times.
