I tend towards fantasy and sci-fi above most other genres. Action movies get to be way too samey after a while. I know a lot of folks who do the horror thing and especially the B-horror genre which can occasionally work out, but usually just leaves me shaking my head. I used to be into giant monster movies in the vein of Godzilla but as those movies have trailed off for the most part I've kind of got away from them.

The "feels good" sort of movies. But also those who have great acting and good twists.

Without a doubt a good horror, thriller and a fun action movie 

Probably horror but it's so hard to find a decent horror that isn't 'greats' everyone's seen a million times.

Action

A nice romcom, obviously.

Anything with a gangster edge. Tarantino, Scorsese, Guy Ritchie.

Sci-Fi and mob movies are the best to me.

Horror movies are the way to go. Not the shit these days, old school slasher movies. Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elmstreet, Halloween, Hellraiser and stuff like that. 

Thriller type movie, maybe a little comedy or historical fiction

Well written and directed films, with believable actors. 
I will watch anything that makes me forget its a film.
