Motor City Hotel Started by: Maddy on Feb 13, '18 18:46

It was 7 stories high sitting in the middle of the "Motor City". The elaborate architecture resembled a Tudor or a 16th century style.  The hotel had brick on the bottom floor and as it went up it was a cream color with black trim. It had a banquet hall for parties, and a full catering staff. There were maids, bell boys, and many other staff to make sure it ran smoothly. There were suites, single rooms, and her favorite the penthouse on the top floor. There was a small grassy area with benches for people to enjoy the sites and sounds of the busy streets around them and Maddy couldn't be happier with how it turned out. She had waited so long for the construction to finish. Inside was set up as if ever guest that came was royalty. To her everyone was elite and they should be treated as such.

The Motor City Hotel

Come stay for a night or five.

Walking out to one of the benches, she watched as people started coming in to see what this new hotel was all about. Maddy would be staying here for a few days herself to enjoy it.. As much as she would have loved to stay in the penthouse she left it open for someone else to enjoy. She spotted the newspaper boy and handed him a stack of flyers to pass out on his route. She tipped him then walked back inside to greet guests.

"No, not that one. THAT one!" Briya pointed, flustered, at the hotel her bodyguard Bill had just driven past. He seemed dead-set on trying to check her into the place that had burned to the ground, as so many people seemed hell bent on attempting.

"There's nothing over there anymore! It's rubble! Good God, have you caught the crazy, too? Turn around and pull into the lovely, FUNCTIONAL hotel back there...see? Open," she said with a sigh while the car pulled a U-turn in the middle of the street and headed into the Motor City Hotel parking lot.

"I'm not sure where the nearest restaurant is," Briya said, shooting Bill a death stare before he could open his mouth and suggest a joint that no longer existed. "But surely a place as fancy as this has room service, and hopefully, stiff drinks," she added as he opened the door for her and they stepped inside the lobby.

A swift smile pulled on Sameera’s face, as her car pulled up in the car parking lot. She had planted a cigarette in her mouth, just in time for her bodyguard to light it up with a zippo lighter. After inhaling and exhaling the smoke, she looked at the new building.

They had been driving for a ling time, and she could not wait to get a few days of relaxion. After only smoking half of it, she threw the cigarette on the ground and stepped over it, on her way out of the parking lot. She went through the doors and was amazed by the breathtaking view. Her eyes scanned the crowd, looking to see if she would recognize anybody.

Tony enters the hotel tried and hungry he was hoping to get a room at the Motor City Hotel.  It was a new establishment and he wanted fresh sheets an room service.  He gave his bags to the bell hop as he paid for his room.  Once inside he tips the bell hop and then calls for room service.  He wanted a steak well down and seasoned heavily and he wanted rice with brown gravy and dinner rolls.  He wanted a bottle of red fruity sweet wine.  He place one of his pistols on the bed while unpacking waiting for his dinner.

He finished unpacking to hear a knock at the door.  It was room service so he quickly removed his shoulder holsters and hid it in a drawer then tucked his pistol behind him in between the small of his back and his pants.   He watched as the server placed his place on the table and then opened the bottle of wine.  Tony tipped the man then walked him to the door locking it.  He looked at his meal and quick joined it and eat until it was gone enjoying the food and wine.

He then took a shower and went to bed.

Wandering in, he knew he had to be on that afternoon flight back to Seattle, looking round he smiled politely as he looked around.   Looking on at the receptionist he smiled as he placed his briefcase on the desk.  Knowing he needed a shave, sleep and tidy up before getting back to work he leaned over.

"Can i get a simple room, bath, maybe a sink to tidy myself up in.   If possible can i get a few of the daily papers sent up and maybe a Steak with Mushrooms, grilled peppers and onions sent up to the room."

Leaning over he opened his wallet.

"do i pay seperate or all at the end?"

”How are you doing?  My name is Jack_Mcgurn I’m from Brooklyn and I was wondering if you have any available rooms here in this fine establishment?  Is there any specials going on?  I’m only going to stay one night I’m here in detroit to see an old friend of mine, but I do have to get back to New York in the morning.”

Frankie came to town and traveled to the Motor City Hotel, the name printed on the receipt she found in the pocket of Tony's jacket.  After settling into the hotel room, she called down for room service and asked for a steak, well-done and seasoned heavily with a side of rice and brown gravy and dinner rolls.  She ordered a bottle of sweet and fruity red wine.  She unpacked while she waited for her meal to arrive.

Hiding her guns when she heard the knock she peaked out the small peep hole and opened the door.  She watched as the server placed the food on the table along with two place settings and opened the bottle of wine.  She tipped the man and locked the door behind him.  Quietly she went to the table and poured herself a glass and raised it to the empty seat and place setting.

"To better days."  She says in Italian.  She drinks her wine, eats her dinner in silence and then, after a hot shower goes to bed.

Brancer paid the cabby for his ride with a nice tip. The man was silent and that was a quality that could be appreciated after a good workout. He made his way back into the Motor City Hotel to find his room he had checked into this morning on the 7th floor. It had been quite expensive, but he was willing to pay the price. It reminded him of home in the 7th floor penthouse back at the Red Rock Casino in Summerlin. He could afford the luxury these days anyways.

When he got to the room the first thing he did was lock the door and make his way for the shower. His workout at TheBootyBandit's Gym was something he was ready to have completely behind him. After getting ready and putting on an understated, gray suit Brancer made himself a glass of whisky. He had brought a couple bottles along for the trip this time.

He stood at the window overlooking the motor city. The town had really began to flourish. There were new businesses and plenty of strong crews around since Serana made her claim on this city. The second double of whisky was still burning the back of his throat when the third was poured. He pulled out a smoke and lit it. It would be another couple of drinks before he was ready to get to business. Though he knew he would soon be hitting up somewhere else. Food was probably a good idea. The workout followed by the booze was sure to have him slurring early if he wasn't careful.

Solace felt like her head was about to pop off by the time she arrived at The Motor City Hotel. After a long night of drinking and dabbling in her favorite drugs, she'd managed to get herself lost while wandering around the city.

"Good job, Solace. Good job," she muttered to herself as she rubbed her temples. "Maybe I should wait until I've been around a bit longer before I go gallivanting off." Her eyes widened as she realized she was standing in the streets talking to herself. Great, people are going to think she's crazy. On the upside, at least she wouldn't be bothered. She sighed with relief as she spotted the hotel, and let herself in.

"Hello, I think I need a room, please. I've managed to get myself lost." Solace managed a weak smile at the girl attending the check in desk.

"Of course!! We'll get you all checked in and taken care of. Don't you worry about a thing!" The clerk beamed a smile at Solace, handing her a tourist map, centered around the lovely hotel. "This should get you sorted once you check out. Have a great stayyyy!"

The pitch of the clerk's voice caused Solace's eye to twitch - but that wasn't her fault really. She was being quite lovely, and clearly had excellent customer service skills. Unfortunately hangovers don't give a damn about customer service. "Yeah, thanks," was all Solace could manage as she paid for her room and took the map, scanning it briefly before turning to find her room.

"Hello!" Another all too chipper voice chirped at her, "I'll help you find your room. Key please?"

She scowled as she looked at the bell boy. Normally she valued so many friendly people, but she was over it at this point, and simply handed him the key. "Right this way," he continued as he bounded off.

Finally, Solace arrived at her room and let herself in, shoving a larger tip than usual in the bellboy's hands before shutting the door before he could speak again. The room was actually very well managed and clean. She sighed to herself as she sat down on the bed. Grabbing the phone, she made a quick call back to the HQ, thankful for the business card Fiend had supplied her with days ago.

"Hey, let the boss know I'll be back tomorrow. I have his money already, but I've got to crash." Without waiting for a response, she hung up the phone next to the bed and laid down, placing the map over her eyes to darken the room.

Criseria had business that carried her across the country, and on her return trip she found herself in Detroit once more. While she was here she was planning on meeting her RHM TM at the Lakeview Cafe and making a day of it. So she would not be flying out anytime in the next day. She had found these accommodations to her liking well enough, and no one ever bothered her here. As she entered and went back up to the concierge desk she sets out her requests

" May I get 2 Suites please, and if you can have a breakfast tray brought up to the rooms in the morning it would be nice." Once she had paid they gave her the keys to each suite. She placed them in her purse for later, now she was off to go have that wonderful picnic.

BlackPanther heads back to his hotel room just before his flight to make sure he had everything packed before his flight. He didn't carry that much anyways literally a toothbrush and some clothes for the few days he was staying there.

Before he left he spoke to one of the cleaners and handed them a $50 tip because she had been great at making sure the room was up to scratch.

"Just want to say thank you for all your hard work and if you need a job. Phone me as I am terrible at cleaning"

BlackPanther had a little giggle with the cleaner and he handed her a business card.

Fiorenzo was about to turn the corner from the alley behind the Motor City Hotel. There was an elderly homeless man slouched against the wall just off the main street. He noticed immediately from the way the man stared at him. Why would you pick Detroit to be homeless? This man needed to learn about the rail system. His piercing gaze was also in need of a lesson. Fiorenzo’s eyes narrowed and he stopped a few feet from the man. His situation was shit. It didn’t mean he deserved special treatment.

You shouldn’t stare.” He said tilting his head to the side. Fiorenzo was waiting for him to avert his gaze. The man obviously wasn’t of mind to do so. The only reason Fiorenzo had cut through the alleyway was to get away from all the eyes of the city. Las Vegas had been a welcome change. He had quickly gotten used to walking around without an audience everywhere he stepped. “You should also get the fuck out of Detroit. If you are still here come winter, you’ll probably just die. Catch a boxcar.” He said as he shook his head and raised his shoulders in a shrug. He took off around the corner for the front of the hotel before the man could answer.

It had been a busy day. Fiorenzo was ready to get back to his room and the solace that it provided. He was kind of excited to look out from his sixth floor window again. The views of the city were wonderful from the Motor City Hotel. He quietly made his way through the lobby and opted for the stairs over the elevator. The attendant was chatty in all the worst ways. Fiorenzo enjoyed the quick methodic movements up the stairs anyways. Luckily he was the only one of mind to take them today. A smirk crossed his lips. There was no one on the sixth floor at the time. He made his way to the door to room 617.

The key turned and the lock clicked. A faint sound could be heard through the doorway. Fiorenzo’s brow furrowed and he had quite the look on his face. Was that a quack? He opened the door all the way and once again, quack. It was much louder with the door open, and it was obviously coming from the bathroom. Why the hell was a duck in his room? He looked around the room and seen his suitcase on the bed. It wasn’t the wrong room. Fiorenzo shut and locked the door. He then made his way for the source of the quacking.

When he opened the cracked door he was greeted by a mallard frantically flying up out of a full tub of water. He sent water everywhere and the bathroom was already soaking wet. There was the smell of overfed duck on the floor as well. The duck waddled over and stood at Fiorenzo’s feet. It looked up to him and Fiorenzo could have sworn it was sizing him up at the moment.

Quack

He stared down at the duck. “Leccaculo! What are you staring at?”He muttered as he looked around the room. He stepped passed the duck for a note he could see on the counter. Fiorenzo recognized the writing immediately. He just didn’t understand why it had been written.

Cucciolo,

Feed him, name him, love him.

Chelsea

Fiorenzo shook his head once more and looked back at the duck. It had followed him over to the counter. There the duck stood about two feet behind him like a shadow. The same look on its face. Fiorenzo sighed and made his way towards the bed. He would soon be cleaning up the bathroom. He had shut the door behind him thinking the duck would be fine alone.

He lay back on the bed and sighed. Name a duck? When you name things they tend to stick around. When he opened his eyes he saw feathers. The duck was landing on his chest. Apparently he didn’t want to be left in the restroom. It sat down there and stared at him from his chest. Wings folded up as it made a comfy spot out of Fiorenzo’s body. He was surprised he hadn’t thrown it in shock. “Hello, Cocciuto.” He sighed out as the duck stared at him.

Quuuaaack.
