When the container crews are over, they go back to their old status. 

Do they lose the days that were added to their account? Having additional days insta added can affect a lot of things, even months from now if they near GF age (for those that don't retire). They've gotten an additional seven days above everyone else who died that night.  

Also, second question. In the past, there was funding offered to current CLs to auth new members, where funding might be an issue (with repayment expected). There are still a number of possible auths within crews, members with days and units for auth. I wonder if funding was an issue anywhere. Was this offer presented to the CLs this time around? 

People need to realize that Izzy came to us as CL's and asked us what our plan was and what time frame we could do. The meeting we had we discussed this in detail. there are several problems right now.

are the big two. Money is scarce right now. it's expensive to launch a crew and get it forted up. Add to that the limited people of age that could run these new crews. 

And then there is the problem of Trusting these new people. Unlike during normal times, most of us loosened up our vetting process to allow us to take more people in quickly. Trying to get as many people as we can homes. I found it has been great I have a full crew of mostly new people that I am learning about and working with. But my LHM put it best when I promoted him he said: "the truth is you don't know me yet." And to launch a crew to a person you do not know is a dangerous proposition. 

We need time to gain money, let people age, and get to know the people in our crews so that we can auth smartly and not into another war. 

So we voted to leave NY and Det empty have Izzy put in the container crews if he wished. Because the only way we could fill the cities fast enough was not the way we want to move forward. 

I feel you are angry about these

I'm not angry. I simply feel they are giving an unfair advantage to those that were hand selected. Had everyone been given the same chance to get these advantages, you wouldn't hear a peep from me. In fact, I've defended container crews in the past.

That feels a bit personal. I've always been a fan of being a sponsor. In the past you've lowered the age to sponsor, can you do that again so I can be one? I'd happily move to the new crew here in Vegas if I could sponsor and help bring in new people. So far I've had to just mail my cl and hope her or her RH are online to send the invite.

You're making it personal where it isn't Squishy. Do you really know every single member equally? What about someone who has never been a CL, how did you judge them? What about a quiet person who maybe was an excellent sponsor/teacher or a hand who you might not have heard much of? How can you alone know all 500+ members of this site to say that you made unbiased selections?

I'd be happy to communicate with you in private if you'd like to hear more about my views on it but to make it personal is really unfortunate when that's not where I'm coming from at all. You're the owner of the site, you don't need to make it so personal.

Considering you do know me, and we've spoken many times about many issues and concerns that I've had, I would think you know me better than to think I'd think this was any less fair should I had been asked (because I would have the same reservations even if I had been, no matter if you choose to believe that or not). 

The war just happened be glad he is taking initaive to fucking get something done as quick as possible, all I see is people complaining , he is clearly trying to do what he thinks is best. You guys complain about evey little thing , people were complaining on irc before he even selected the second batch . The people choosen clearly have demonstrated for him they are the proper people for the job. Besides that it's all temporary. Let the man work his magic in helping MR get out of rebuild and into a healthier state. 

I'm not important enough in the eyes of some because they don't know me. How often does that theme take place?  I could be a vet and I could be new. Vets are taking vets in but we got two classes of vets. Vets in the .0rg years and the vets 2-3 years following the .org era   If vets thereafter don't talk, walk and think like .org vets and those shortly after are given a great disadvantage and from the start. 

Me personally, I am technical, looking at the facts, and I am faulted and I am not surprised. I have handsomely tipped 3 responses on this topic. I hope we can keep their insight going because the same old is not working. Container crews are temporary and I cannot blame Scott for taking this route. It is not the long term solution. Thew long term solution would be help instead of insulting.

DanielTosh, care to clarify on something for me? Which of us Container CLs were just recently CLs other than myself? 1/5 is very very far away from "almost everyone" 

The money in your account right now could have purchased a 2nd HQ for your crew to expand in.  Until then, please focus on making your own pasture green and help your neighbor, rather than tear down others.

I don't see where I've insulted anyone or torn anyone down. I don't see where I've made it personal. I don't see where I've attacked anyone or claimed some sort of devious intention. I haven't even discussed the CLs themselves or the choices (other than when I was confused over the admin selection, given your own rules about admins being a CL). 

I pointed out that given people an extra 7 days in age if they choose to not retire alone is an advantage.

Izzy - all I can say is that we know you are doing what you feel is best to ensure these new accounts aren’t wacked because of recent events.  You don’t want to lose the player base and neither do most of the players.. I would imagine.  

I feel as if my comments early on opened up a little bit of a Pandora’s box so I will leave this discussion with one thought and hope..

That moving forward, the community can have regular meetings or discussions (whether informal or formal) where not only can valid criticisms and alternative solutions be heard on any and all issues with the game mechanics.. but also so that you and any other coders can provide practicality to those ideas.  We don’t want to be throwing turds against a wall to see what sticks.  We want to be reasonable and practicable.

I believe.. I truly believe that we can create improvements for various game mechanics that are not radical or dramatically game altering to the point that the game loses the magic of the original version and design.  There have been a lot of little great additions over time, but I think that some of the most fundamental, core mechanics need to be improved.   And I hope that by doing so, we won’t have to worry about controversial interventions by the admin team.

The fact left out is the people from other mafia sites who check this site out or arerecruited through the art of communication from other sites, find themselves bored within days or years. Good old .org is in control to fix this problem.
