| Actions Speak Louder Than Words | Started by: Zeus_Andolini on Oct 12, '10 22:37 |

Zeus walks towards an abandoned crate, turns it over, and stands on it to address his fellow mobsters.
Good evening everyone? I would like to address a very displaced issue that is starting to fragmentize families and even cities. What are you saying Zeus? What im saying is, this nonsense and bullshit must end. All of these underground rogues, mobsters betraying families and cities, and so on, IT MUST STOP NOW! I say that because the actions of idiocy and retardation is starting to impact the mafia, and its impacting us hard! The question now should be, "What are WE going to do to make things better?" Is that a thought in your mind? Well it damn sure is in mines. In my eyes after all is said and done, usually more is said than done. Wouldnt you agree? The moral of this speech is, if we dont do something now, we will all fall to nothing but idiocy and retardation. Thats the bottom line, you can take that however you want to.
I would also like to comment to Gideon's remark in regards to Made Man and how in some families, its just another rank. Gideon, you are damn right! Just because of the simple fact that becoming a Made Man is just another rank is some families, thats partly a way that idiocy and retardation gets into the UPPER STRUCTURE. Who's to say that some rogues were brought up to become what they are today due to the guidence and training of an INNER CIRCLE rogue that was never revealed? But I have news for you, whatevers done in the dark MUST come to the light. Have you all ever thought about it like that? As the days come and go, its becoming harder and harder to trust people but I will stand behind my words when I say that we must take charge! This bullshit must end and its better late then never.
This speech is up for discussion. Thanks for your time.
Zeus then steps down from off top of the abandoned crate. |

Wanting it to stop doesn't change what is. Asking for it to stop doesn't change minds.
You can certainly teach new ones to our shores Our Way, but there will always be a few that rebel against the system.
The idea of an inner circle rogue go a bit far though. No one can keep a secret in this world, so I doubt such a secret as delicious as that would be kept for long. |

I would have to disagree with that statement. There has been but so many inner circle rogues within this thing off ours that werent caught until they reached the rank of Consigliere or even higher. Isnt that a bit late to be finding out that such a high ranked and respected mobster has betrayed his family? Im pretty sure that the damage is already done by then. |

Zeus_Andolini you sir are wrong there. The rogues that came out at Boss or Consigliere of recent were crew leaders already so technically they weren't rogues at all. |

Well im glad you said that. In that case, everybody can stop bitching about whats going on in today's time. You just clearly stated "wanting it to stop doesnt change what is" and "asking for it to stop doesnt change minds". If everybody chose to run with that statement, we would severly fall down in resemblence to failure. Wanting it to stop doesnt change what is but it can change what its not, correct? |

Unfortunately, one spur of the moment speech won't change people's minds or alter their motives. However, inspired from this, I have decided to write a small song that may reach the hearts of these fiendish souls who desecrate the name of the Mafia - because after all, what's a criminal organization without rules that we must never break? I assure each and every one of these would be rogues, that, given time, that we will never give them up, we will never let them down, and we will never run around or desert them.. Unless they break a rule. After that, unless you're armed to the teeth in bodyguards that were invested or have connections, you're shit out of luck. |

This is starting to sound an awful lot like McCarthyism. Everyones pointing fingers at each other and people are going to start turning each other in for nothing. Maybe not nothing politcal gains, rewards, or sabatoge. I think before any actions are taken the evidence should be concrete. I believe i have a solution, which would be reasonable. A representative from each city is elected to represent said city. A trial is held and at the end a vote is taken by the pannel. if it's decided the person in question is found guilty of conspiring they get wacked. The information is put forth to the public and each elective member has to present why they voted the way they did. this will keep them honest and it'll keep them from killing people just for the sake of killing. This way they best damned be voting guilty for the right reason's or the public will take care of it. I also believe once a person is suspected of treason they are stripped of their gun. If a CL fails to comply there family gets wacked. This is a serious matter and serious matters require serious precautions. I think it shouldnt get crews to agree to this, unless they are knowingly harboring rogues and supporting them. |

Oscar, that is a great idea. Im glad to see that somebody is willing to make a change, unlike how others believe that no change can be made. |

I think it's, as a friend of mine likes to put things, a shite idea not worth the words spoken.
The Family deals with it's own. We are criminals, not law abiding citizens. There is no need for judges, city representatives, or trials.
Just a gun and a bullet. |

Rogues are selfish people completely unable of being changed Zeuz. If they are able to keep their secret they can't be discovered, but Oscar's idea would fantastically change the game to prevent people from becoming enraged from being charged with false Rogue charges and I applaud this idea. Less enraged citizens would reduce the likelihood of citizens coming back with the intention of going rogue. |

Thats a damn lie! If families were dealing with its own then we wouldnt be having problems and issues with the same ole petty shit. Yes, we are criminals but even criminals have rules to follow. We are obligated to remain faithful and loyal to our own, but if we are doing undercover actions behind our family and city, then we are no longer criminals but were betrayers. |

I don't take very kindly to being called a liar.
My bloodline has been around these shores for, I assume mind you, far longer then yours and at various capacities. I know of what I speak. |

Legolas overhears Zeus speach,
I agree with you Zues, there has been too many deaths cause of these so called rogues... Its also a secret, so when your walking down the street, you never know who could be a rogue, and its scary when you cant walk down your own neighborhood with out having some sort of awareness that a rogue might just pull the trigger at a target, these so called rogues are very quiet and they are like us, normal people, just without mercy... Something needs to be done now! |

ThatGuy, I understand what your saying but what im trying to get across to everybody is, if crewleaders take the time to fully evaluate who they are promoting into their inner circle, then most of this shit will die down. From what ive heard, most rogues are either high ranked or have even been authed. That shit is just unacceptable and as long as we kick our feet up and dont take act into whats going on, we will perish like dust. |

Honestly, I could care less who your bloodline was. In my eyes, your just a young Goomba. I could really care less in regards to how you feel about the discussion but dont bring some bloodline crap across my way because I honestly dont give a damn about it. Express your OPINIONS and keep it moving. |

From my experience, most rogues go rogue because they go crazy (Have an IRL event happen and can no longer participate in this thing of ours). If a person gains a real gun capable of doing damage, they are usually already being watched by the families for business reasons. Not only that, but a member could claim to go rogue and attack a family on orders from his leader. There are too many reasons for people to abuse a kill all rogues system. Also, the rogues who make it to Consigliere have to spend a lot of time in their family and generally do things time and time again deserving trust, even though they won't deserve it in the end. The best way to avoid a lineage of rogues would be to keep citizens from feeling their lineage has been personally attacked. If people kill someone for non business related reasons, maybe an explanation would be good.
Also, Zeus I beg you to take these
ThatGuy hands Zeus some pills,
And understand that people can have an opposing opinion and still deserve respect, no matter what rank. |

Llywelyn thinks for a moment pondering all the words spoken between the fine upstanding mobsters gathered here today.
I think it's a fantastic idea to talk about this issue until something is done to finally stop them. I don't think that the solution is any sort of trial like Oscar suggested but perhaps discussing it will change the minds of not those who are actually going rogue, but, the people that they confide in who say nothing and endanger their families. Or perhaps not, I don't know. I have been known to be wrong on occasion... |
