This book is full of all sorts of wonderful insights into how machines slowly have taken over our lives. So crazy that in 1952 Vonnegut was already laying out exactly the direction a lot of things were headed, but not that crazy when you look at what was going on around him. Interesting times we live in these days. Thanks for the book, Reagan .

Human progress isn't measured by industry. It's measured by the value you place on life. An unimportant life. A life without priviledge. The boy who died on the river, that boy's value is your value. That's what defines an age...what defines a species.

The circle must be broken.

We must be willing to let go of the life we planned so as to have the life that is waiting for us.

Hmm, I was told just earlier today that some things are easy, and still so worth it.
