It was a cloudy yet chilly day in the Motor City; Sunshyne decides to get out and get some fresh air.  She needed it. She heard so much good about Campus Martius Park in the Downtown Area of Detroit by word of mouth that she decides to check the place out herself.  On her way to the park, she stops at a coffee shop that was located in a beautiful two-story building across the street from the park itself.

As she walks into the shop the first thing, she picks up is it is a down to earth kind of environment, the vibe was very positive and happy ones. Walking up to the counter she greeted by a kind elderly lady with a French accent named Jolanta. A name that Sunshyne takes an instant liking to it. It turns out Jolanta was the owner of this fine establishment that has been up and running for eleven years.

As she listens to Jolanta, Sunshyne was intrigue and surprise to hear the place was actually up for sale. Jolanta was ready to retire and spend the remainder of her life back in France.

Sipping her coffee, Sunshyne toyed with the idea of making an offer. It was a new chapter in her life, one that she needed and desired. She enjoys serving others it was therapeutic for her, it was a way to give back as well. Like before it was not her plan to run another coffee shop, the other one in Chi was doing good.

But at the same time, she decided not to touch it but let it run naturally. Destiny stepped in then and it was stepping in yet again.

Sunshyne smiles softly as she remembers one of the letters she received from Bellona, the previous owner of the other coffee shop. Bellona was doing well now; the family farm was back to making a profit and her father was bouncing back nicely after the heart attack he had.

Focusing her attention back on Jolanta she asks for a tour. The place was more than a coffee shop, she could do so much with it.

On the first floor alone, there was ample seating and the display cases would be perfect to showcase her Yummlicious treats There was a full kitchen, that was equipped with everything that was needed for a smooth transition, that was a plus.  There was payphone, built-in aquariums, his and hers restrooms, jukeboxes and a mixture of stylish booths and tables that would easily sit twenty-five-plus.

The operations that Jolanta ran were simple and it works. She showed Sunshyne the profits made over the years which was impressive.

Instead of being on the lower floor the main office space was on the upper floor. Speaking of the upper floor, the impression that Sunshyne got was one that left her speechless, almost. It was loft with arched ceilings & huge windows galore that offer natural lighting.  One of the windows offers the customer a wonderful view of Campus Martius Park itself. The vibe she got was one of comfort. There were tables but also there were a few sofas and recliners A perfect area to dine and read. Speaking of reading there was a small book hub stock with the latest publishing for the casual reader to enjoy.

There was a basement that was perfect for storage and keeping things stocked. The coffee shop design consists of a mixture of Vienna & Paris all through it. Which made sense since the owner was of French descent.

The beautiful facade of bricks went well with the balconies made of black iron.  There was even a cobble patio that gave the visitor a spectacular view of a fountain.  Sunshyne ends up buying it.

She didn’t have much money due to reasons that she kept hush about. But Jolanta fell in love with Sunshyne's demeanor that she adopted her as a granddaughter.  According to Jolanta, there was something special about her and that the world needed more like her shining their lights.

Jolanta cuts her a deal with certain stipulations that only they were aware of. Sunshine agrees to the terms and in the end, becomes the owner of Sunshyne Cafe.

Excited, Sunshyne, starts working on putting her signature on the place.  The menu would be a work in progress, in time she would add more. Her eyes light up

Happy with the menu, Sunshyne goes and turns the sign to Open. She was living the good life.

Things was chaotic, the stench of blood and fighting was heavy but the Sun light was still bright and shining. Sunshyne was having a blast getting to know her customers who accept her with open arms and fell in love with her and her cooking as well.  Sunshyne was feeling generous so breakfast was on the house this morning. It made her shine brighter when she gave, the reactions from those in attendance was priceless. The season of giving was a year around gesture. Something to be practice, daily.

She heads up to her office to tend to some paperwork that needed her attention at the moment.

Sunshyne was in her office, tying up loose ends before her flight. She had a special hourglass on her desk.  She just activated it.

Looking at it, she strokes the glass. Then goes back to sliding paperwork into her briefcase.

“The dream I had of the Tower of Babel. I wonder what does it mean. “

 She didn’t have to read or look at the news to know what was going on.  Getting up, making sure everything was ok, she closes her briefcase and carries it as she exits her office.

Dom needs some grub, he's hungry after a long flight. He sees Sunshyne opening a cafe and decides to check it out!

Gav enters the cafe and immediately shakes his head. He strains his eyes and looks at Dom, confused. Hours earlier, prior to his flight, he was in Los Angeles in Dom's lounge. Yet, here he is! He must be a well-traveled guy. He sits down on the other side of the room and looks at the long menu. Just before someone comes to serve him, he sees what he's looking for.

Ooh, I'll have some wings please. As spicy as they come. Thank you.

He hands them the menu and waits for his food, wondering if any more familiar faces would be coming through that door.

As his food arrives, Gav digs in. He was never afraid to get messy with his food, and spicy wings were his favorite. He hadn't had them in a long time, since he lived down south near the border. He took his time enjoying every bite of the chicken, then ordered another batch. He would get his fill before he left Detroit.

After wiping his hands and mouth, he left three $20 bills on the table, took his things, and left. He would likely return at some point, but for now he was stuffed.

Sunshyne decides to take a heat of the moment trip to Detroit.  She misses being at her café.

Walking inside she was happy to see the cafe was bustling with folks enjoying themselves.

She waves at the customers as she was walking towards the stairs, she was greeted by Marvelous.

Marvelous pulls her in with a warm hug. She pulls back to check Sunshyne out, a look concern appears.

“You lose a lot of weigh. are you sick?

Sunshyne cheerful replies. “I am fine”

“Eh, I am going to fix you something to eat, it is my job to make sure you are ok when you are around.”

Sunshyne nods as she disappears upstairs, Marvelous watches quietly, she pulls out a card and heads to the back to make a call and make Sunshyne a tray.

Chris walked into the Sunshyne Cafe he was followed by Peter-Whack, Whispers, Jewels and Ice Pick Joe.  They sat at a table as Chris was looking very serious and the men with him were very quiet.   Chris ordered  the Pancake Combo with his eggs scrambled hard with salt and pepper.  six strips of bacon, hash browns and fruit.  He also ordered a cup of coffee then they ordered the same as Chris paid for everyone and gave a nice tip.  

Chris pulled out a new paper as he waited for the food to arrive.  Whispers told a few jokes to lighten up the mood.  Chris shipment of booze was taken by the police and in order to get it back he would have to buy it back which made it a moot point.  He instead would go after the police captains family and have the police return his product for the man's wife and child.  Then he would have them working for him going forward running protection.  

St Louis cops were good thugs to have and now he would have a police precinct under his thumb on call twenty four seven.  Chris was one to always turn the tables and make them pay far more then what they stole.  That was the Lucchese way.  To always make them pay more then what they got.

Noah stops in the  Sunshyne Cafe on this chilly day. Noah enters and walks in and gets him a seat. The waiter comes over and asks Noah what he would like SEVEN LAYERS BEEFY ENCHILADAS'and the waiter takes his order to the chef. Noah just sits and admires the surroundings,very nice place he says to himself. Soon the waiter comes back wit Noah's food,and he thanks him,then starts eating.

It had been many years since Nutmeg had stepped into a café after what had happened to him the last time he was sure that he would never make the trip again but this time was different! There had been a nice one erected only a few minutes away from where he lived! What luck! Hearing the stories from his friends about how large the menu was piqued Nutty's interest.

Making his way into the building he caught a whiff of the wonderful food and excitedly sat at a table and ordered himself a nice large helping of French Toast to start his day off right. Wondering if anyone he knew was around, he gave the place a quick rundown but could not see anyone off the top of his head so just went back to paying attention to his table. It was a pretty nice table.

That is when the drinks caught his eye and he also ordered a tea. 

...also an entire buffet.

...and a shake.

"That will be all, please. Thank you so much."

Judas walked the streets and noticed a Sunshyne Cafe. He decides to walk in. Walked in and looked around. Saw few people sitting behind the table and having chat. He found himself a table aswell and sat down. Ordered a cup of cappuccino and few donuts. Smoked a cigarette. Got his drink, he thanked and paid for it.

Arriving at the Cafe he could smell all of the many foods making their way into his nose, almost to the point that he could taste what was being prepared back in the kitchen. This is what lead him directly to the front of the house and sitting down on the first seat he could land his ass into, which was luckily right next to one of the waiters.

"I'll take one of everything."

At first, the person taking his order seemed a bit confused, which caused Figment to had to repeat what he had said.

"I will take one of everything. Thank you."

The menu was a vast one but he knew exactly what he was doing. This wasn't his first rodeo, and to solve the great spice debacle of the 1930's he would need to be on top of his game and not hungry in the slightest. As the food was brought out to him, he lined most of it in his pockets while the rest was shoved directly into his mouth. 

"Twank woo.", speaking with his mouth full wasn't the most flattering thing he could have done, but it was the thought that counted or so he told himself. 

Thor walks into Sunshyne Cafe, he looks around a little before he sits down. He picks up a menu and gazes upon it before he notices there's a buffet option, he was sold on that one so he gets up and finds himself two plates and starts adding just about every piece of food he can find onto them before venturing back to his table.

He waves a waiter over.

"I'd like some iced tea to drink my good sir."

Thor starts eating, while he waits for his drinks to come.

As Majestic walks along the streets of Detroit smoking his cigar with the cold breeze of the wind hitting him. As he walks around he hears a weird noise (his stomach grumbling) and just as he thinks of breakfast he sees Sunshyne Cafe. 

(Buds out his Cigar) and walks into Sunshyne Cafe. He finds it being a busy place, and spots a table at the corner next to the window. Sits down and opens the Menu. As Majestic skims through, he notices the Breakfast .99 Menu. Majestic knew straight away what he wanted. 

As he looks around for a waiter and spots one. Nods to the waiter (acknowledges) and waits for him to approach him. 

Noah waking up early and getting all cleaned up heads out to the Sunshyne Cafe. Noah opens the door and enters looking at a gent he walks up an orders a coffee x-strong plz... The getn poured him the best he got and Noah paid him and walks out'

As the waiter approaches "Good day sir". 

"Id like the Breakfast .99 Menu, please and along with some Tea please".

Few minutes, the waiter arrives with the order. Majestic digs into it with no delay whatsoever, as he plans on spending the rest of the day checking out the streets of Detroit". 

Puts the money and a tip with a "Quick Service, ty" note. 

Majestic gets up, pulling out a cigar from his jacket pocket and walking out in the busy streets of Detroit. 

After paying a visit to one of the other businesses of the Motor City, the woman continues to go on her visiting streak of the companies, trying to get the economy of the city going as well as to meet a lot of new faces. Why not socialise a bit and talk to the business owners and potentially also meet more people there? She did manage to meet some cool people like that in the past, so for her, it was without a doubt worth it to continue her madness in the way of finding contact with people.

Plus she loves to visit new places. Make new experiences, go to a new restaurant and try fresh food as well as drinks. The Sunshyne cafe is the next on the list that the woman spots, and it does not take long for her to enter this cafe. She looks at the menu list and jeez it is quite big, which is of course to praise. The presentation is also formidable. Easy to read and easy to understand, so thumbs up from her.

She takes a little moment to decide before waiting for one of the waiters and then tells him what she intends to have. ''I would love to have the pancakes with the bacon, as well as hash browns please'' she rubs her hands waiting and seems to be very excited. It has been a long time since she last had pancakes.

It was a long day, and just down the street from her hotel in Detroit, she spotted the 'Sunshyne Cafe' .. she had seen one of these back in her home city of Los Angeles and she instantly knew she had to pay it a visit, as they had the best breakfast food back home.. It was comforting to find the cafe was very similar to the one back home, decor, and placement in unison.

"I will take the French Toast with some bacon and eggs, and make sure they are over easy!"

Carla said with a smile to the waitress before handing her the menu back.. she didn't have to wait long for her food, the place was pretty quiet and for a breakfast place at that.. Carla smiled and dug in, there was nothing like breakfast for dinner..

A couple weeks had passed since Gav's last visit to Detroit. Business had brought him back- he needed to pick up some cheap product to bring back to Vegas. After the deal, he had a few hours before his flight, so he returned to the Sunshyne Cafe. There wasn't a lot of traffic bustling in and out, but the place was far from empty. It seemed like many were treating it more like a hangout than a restaurant. He found an empty seat himself and looked over the menu.

A waitress soon asked for his order, and he decided to try something new.

"Are you still serving waffles?"

It had gotten late in the day, so Gav was unsure if they would continue to serve breakfast foods into the evening. He had been on so many flights that he felt like he was jet lagged an entire day behind. Anything sounded good.

"Yes, the Belgians are great."

Gav nodded his head.

"I'll take them. And a cup of coffee. Thank you."

She returned with a small coffee cup and filled it to the brim. In just a few minutes, his waffles were ready. It took no time at all for Gav to scarf down the waffles. Delicious, as he'd expect. He took out his wallet and left a few twenties on the table. He enjoyed the Sunshyne Cafe but he didn't want to start looking like a regular. So he took his hat and coat and left.
