| Whatever you’re going through right now, it’s temporary. Nothing is impossible. The real word is I’m possible! | |

I heard it quite awhile ago and even though it doesn't seem like much, I like reminding myself of it at least once a day. |

Do not let the ghosts of your pasts haunt your future.
Basically don't let the the past affect what you can achieve in the future. Tomorrow is always a new day. |

"Winning doesn’t always mean being first. Winning means you’re doing better than you've done before."
As someone who's an overachiever and perfectionist, this quote keeps me sane. |

"Taking responsibility - practicing 100 percent responsibility every day - is about seeing ourselves not as right or wrong, but as an agent, chooser, problem solver, and learner in the complex interrelationships of our lives so that we can better integrate with the people and world around us. When we do this, we enjoy a better and more productive way to live and lead." Christopher Avery, The Responsibility Process It sums it up rather well |

"The harder you work for something, the greater you will feel when you achieve it."
That's something that resonates with me. Putting in all the hardwork and when it finally pays off, it feels amazing. |

I try an do a daily motivator every day for my students. I always start with two of them, though more of a directive than true motivation. "Non nobis solum sed toto mundo nati sumus"- "Not for ourselves, but for the world we are born." "Calvo turpius est nihil comato"- "There is nothing so contemptable as a bald man with hair." (My favorite way of saying don't be something you're not.) And, for mia famiglia that are on the east side the pond: "You can always count on Americans to do the right thing-after they've tried everything else." -Sir Winston Churchill |

Give a Man a Fish, and You Feed Him for a Day. Teach a Man To Fish, and You Feed Him for a Lifetime
Attributed to Maimonides, Lao-Tzu, Anna Isabella Thackeray Ritchie, Native American and Italian Adage For me, I like it as it resonates, you can approach a problem two ways -- short term and long term, and being patient and big picture will pay bigger dividends. Trust in the system. And wear a mask during Covid. Oh, I added the last part. |

"He does only what is his to do, and considers constantly what the world has in store for him—doing his best, and trusting that all is for the best. For we carry our fate with us —and it carries us." - Marcus Aurelius
I like this, it reminds me that we are the one who controls our thoughts, we control our thoughts and we can control what we can do. |

All moments once they pass are memories. Live the moment and remember the good and bad as pointers for the future. For the bad try to take any positives from For the good remember with joy and try to recreate and hold on to those memories in the bad times. |

The edge… there is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is the ones who have gone over. In a closed society where everybody’s guilty, the only crime is getting caught. In a world of thieves, the only final sin is stupidity. Morality is temporary, wisdom is permanent. The greatest mania of all is passion: and I am a natural slave to passion. Too weird to live, too rare to die! Never turn your back on fear. It should always be in front of you, like a thing that might have to be killed. I don’t see how you can respect yourself if you must look in the hearts and minds of others for your happiness. For every moment of triumph, for every instance of beauty, many souls must be trampled. I was not proud of what I had learned but I never doubted that it was worth knowing. Some people will tell you that slow is good – but I’m here to tell you that fast is better. |

My favorite quote is "Surround Yourself With Motivated People" because is terrible when you want to start anything and have someone already saying "this will not to work" "you never will get that done" etc. I really don't like to be around of negative people and it's rare when you find a place without one of thoses around. |

The only way I can motivate myself at the moment is to get out and go for a walk or run, plan my day while doing that and get it done. |
