Anyways, more content based on the elections. I believe in any election where 1 person is making accusations that votes should be stopped counting in areas where he is winning and start legal litigations without any founded proof, prematurely and making tax payers turn up for all the costs of getting the same result in the end is just diabolical. Many people bitched about hillary and how she was unfit for leadership, but honestly she didn't make an affront to the entire system that you all worship and cherish. If you disagree with the system, why has there been no major reform to actually try and have better conditions set for you. It shows in many other democracies where coalitions of different political thought actually help. In business strategy and organizational strategy people encourage innovation, diverse strategy components etc. Why is that not being applied to politics??

Trump is no business man all he has done since the 80's is file bankruptcy.  He is a fascist and white supremacist, nothing good comes from that combination, he has also done nothing but  deregulate environmental protections ( to fill his bank account), because lets all face it we don't need the environment or clean air or clean water. This is  why Biden is a better pick. 

As for who ever said our Constitution is out dated, only portions of this is. And apparently they don't show our overseas brothers and sisters that in the house and in the Senate there is a battle over this, this are being discussed  to be changed. 

The real issue is not the two party system we have other parties here they just get pushed out by media.  The real issue is PAC's and back door dealings and the Electoral College which is outdated now. 

What interested me was how so many people called Arizona, which could still go trumps way if traditional Maricopa goes his way.    IS the same watching Georgia here, some were saying the blue mirage of the south meant Georgia would be democrat, the opposite of what happens in the north due to counting methods.

I just never understand how it takes so long to count so many votes in a state, in the US.   I watch places like Nevadas votes not moving and we would have that next day.   I know have been some issues but I do not understand why it is dragged out so long.

 Carlo_Brescati Part of the issue with the  time to count the ballots is that not all states count the absentee ballots when they finished receiving them most states do. There are a handful of states that do not count these ballots until the polls close. This slows down the counting process on a normal election year. This year however,  it is compounded with the fact that the SARS-COV19 pandemic is happening and they have exponentially more mail in ballots to count. 

I know the issues and I know how  I watched the southeast NC, Georgia, Florida go blue mirage and red wave rustbelt red mirage blue wave did the opposite way.   Also the volume of voters, and how so many states have different rules, even county to county.  Is simpler in the UK with pretty much one size fits method.   So whether mail-in, in person the same night, or next day we know. Is when they say, some votes won't be in for 2 weeks like forces votes, it works differently in UK.   It is not there on the day, it wouldn't count.   So for marginal seats like Georgia now, will be interesting as Trump only 3000 ish ahead

I don't think Ive paid attention to elections in my country like how I am looking at this US election. What would be the best news outlet to get real data instead of speculations? The Associated Press?

Also why is taking so long to count the votes in Nevada. Do they have just one person doing the counting?

You're not wrong Spike - this is one of the most unbelievable elections I've ever seen - 3 days after the vote and we're still no wiser. I had read an article, back in June, about this eventuality - Trump refusing to accept defeat... personally, I didn't think it'd be that close. Figured people must have woken up by now. Lol. If 2020 was a movie, the critics would be complaining about it being too unrealistic.

For me is the funniest and scariest thing watching the news in the last few months.   In the UK so much we have heard from left-leaning media how pretty much the streets would run with Blood almost with US election win for Biden, how Trump would take a Putin-esque move where he would not leave power whilst at the same time ignoring or make excuses for BLM etc when they riot.

I am not surprised it has been no real big incidents apart from the guys driving up from Virginia and mainly small skirmishes by both sides as 95% of people are pretty much generally sane.   Watching trump and some of his supporters does not help but I don't expect this revolution either a few in Arizona seemed to want.   The longer this drags on, the more these people will continue to be wound up and crowds grow outside these polling offices.   He just won't be able to tip hands in the courts by throwing money at it, as he has in business.

I am so absolutely ready for this whole election to be over. It's stunning that with the quality of candidates offered in the last decade someone hasn't been able to properly push out a halfway competent candidate. I think more than anything the last couple elections have really been an indictment of the sheer influence that money has, not just in the election itself but within the party structures to determine who has backing enough to be seen as a real candidate for the primary process.

Granted that I don't see anything changing in a meaningful way from the show for now, but the groundwork is there. The problem is the cultural shift that would be necessary to actually act on it. Or the work necessary to use the internet and social media to endrun the damn system.

Well is the same in the UK, the politicians go to the same schools, the same level of education, similar careers business, lawyer, finance and why they never relate to most people.   The left gets back by unions, the right by rich business people.
