Never really saw this thread. So never really added to it. 

Im not going to beat a dead horse here, and continue to write something here about the elections.

However, I will say this. How history remembers the 4 years of Trump will be quite interesting. Doesn't, happen very often in USA. That a incumbent loses the election. This one did. Most that loose the election as an incumbent, are banished/forgotten to the back pages of history books. 

I believe, this one wont be forgotten. The events that were triggered by Trump. Will be remembered as a cautionary tale in American history. Whats scarier though is. Trump may not be done, leaving his mark on American history just yet. You'd think, Jan 6th 2021 would have taught America something...

People who voted Biden, didn't necessarily like him. They just hated Trump that much. Then again, I haven't seen many PRO Biden posts since he's taken office and signed 100000 executive orders like a dictator. Just sayinnn.

I mean honestly. Dems control everything atm. And not that im following up on this info. And im not defending Biden by any means. 

But I hear, those EO's are basically reversing Trump policies. Something Trump did to Obamas policies...right or wrong. 

And because Dems control both the houses. Biden doesn't need EO's to pass laws. The houses will expedite that for him at this point. Atleast for the next 2 years. 

I'm glad I'm in the UK and not have to worry about the American elections but the UK ones.

You're correct, ThomasCrown. Just about every president in recent memory has reversed some or all of the executive orders from his predecessor. That's why it's impossible to make a lasting change through executive order- whatever one person does can be done by replacing that one person. It's a lot more difficult to undo legislation that passes both houses of congress, since that process is far more intensive and requires a similar process to undo it. The most ironclad governance of all would be a constitutional amendment, which I believe requires another constitutional amendment to undo it. 

Executive orders have their place, but they've become more and more popular in recent years as the deadlock in the house and senate has grown, subsequently enhancing the power of the executive branch.

Don't let Vengeful Emperor Trump ruin America, and make us look like a trash crooked autocratic country. 

I struggle with how people can still be backing Trump at this point. I understand voting Republican, and understand just voting along those lines, but the fact he still has such as strong support personally is terrifying.

He never gives any details of a plan. He never answers questions honestly. He's got a track record of corruption. He has no moral compass. He sees geopolitics as a zero sum game. He's bffs with Epstein, and all the likely connotations which come alongside that. 

I admit when I watch his non-political interviews I can get the charisma.. I understand how many people around him like him as a person. But beneath the surface? Fuck that.
