Well, we'll see where things go from here. I do not believe Trump will have much success in any of his legal actions.

So what does it mean by "Electoral College votes" or whatever it was? I've always been curious by that.

Let it be known that a vote for Trump or Biden was not an admission of love for either of the candidates. Personally, I hate them both. I'd like to see the end of the "two party" system. I'd like to see the end of the electoral college because, even though people will say it's for "fairness", it was created [also] so slave holding states would have as much voting power as abolitionist states. It allowed the South to be more "equal" in size by counting every five slaves as three people so that they could gain more representation in politics.

Anyway, I think both Biden and Trump suck horribly. Sure, Trump might have a good economic view. However, when I voted, I had to vote like loved my wife. My bi-sexual/pan-sexual, pagan wife, who is affected by the rulings that Trump's administration passed that allowed health care providers to deny service based on their religious beliefs. In a biotech law book at lsu.edu, it states:

"Physicians do not have unlimited discretion to refuse to accept a person as a new patient. Because much of medicine is involved with federal regulations, physicians cannot refuse to accept a person for ethnic, racial, or religious reasons."

This same administration who appointed a woman to a position of power who believes that, because of her religious convictions, women should not hold power or voices in politics or even in the home... Explain that one to me? Also, she has a handmaiden that helps make her decisions for her, who was not vetted by the FBI as all members of the cabinet are supposed to be, because she's not actually on the seat. This baffles me. Truly, absolutely baffles me. As a progressive nation, we can only be so conservative. I understand the morals, but ultimately we should love one another on all sides of the coin. Unfortunately, we do not. And that is the most frightening thing of all.

My vote was not a love of my choice, but what I had to do in hopes of bettering our country for everyone again. To make us all equal. Hopefully.

PoisonousMcJellyface, I had the same question. Turns out America uses a "winner takes all" system of voting. As some states are bigger and more populated than others, they carry more weight, which is why the 'Electoral College Votes' counts vary.

Essentially it's the same FPTP system that the UK uses, except on a federal scale; you vote in your state for your presidential candidate, the state collates the vote, then votes as a state, with the entirety of their Electoral College Votes.

This is why the popular vote can differ from the electoral college votes - a president can have more votes nationwide, but still lose the election campaign (George Dubya and DJT being the two most recent successful campaigns won by the electoral college vote, contrary to the popular national vote).

To add to that, it's supposed to help keep the vote even across the country as far as interests go.  While most of the population is on the east and west coasts, there are a lot of farmers and industrial types in the middle of the US.  Electoral college is supposed to make sure that their interests are heard in the election and not just the coasts (not that I agree, but that's the sentiment).

Can we stop talking about it. It needs to stop. Just stop. Let us get on with our lives.

Will be very funny if trump losses more votes if they do a recount after his lawyers try to help him steal the election

I wonder if the recount will make changes in numbers and how much actually.

So the law suits it is another tool of trump to steal more time and delay the change of the new president in the oval.

It's doubtful that any recount will have much of an effect. This is a big waste of time at this point, and an embarrassment to the U.S. 

Recounts historically have only ever changed a few hundred votes. They would have to change thousands of votes across at least 4 states in order to have any effect on the outcome.
