Just wondering if anyone has heard anything about this game, or plan on playing it themselves. Comes out on Dec 1 for PC and Consoles. Looks like a Mafia/Gangster Strategy game with some XCOM similarities. 

I plan on playing it.  It's got some great rackets and such for prohibition.  I've been watching some previews on youtube.  Great looking game.

Yes, I've heard of it. Game looks great! I've always been a fan of XCOM-like games, so seeing a mobster game that seems to have some elements tied to XCOM-type combat is a definite + for me.

I'm watching some videos on it right now. I've been waiting for a game like this lol, so I'm pretty excited. Debating on if I should wait or just preorder now while I can.

I agree Honesty. I'm a fan myself. Plus with it being a mobster type game, it makes me more excited.

I have it pre-ordered for Xbox One and just waiting to see what it's all about.

It looks really good,  There have been so many promising mob games due to be released over the years, it's great that a studio finally followed through with their plans.  I'm looking to buy it for PC, but being the tight person that I am, I'll wait for a decent deal to come along first :)

Does it feel like there's a shortage of Mafia based games on the market nowadays? We had the Mafia series and The Godfather series, but has there been anything else really? Anyone have any suggestions?

I preordered mine on Xbox too Wendigo. I was hoping I could change regions and play, but doesn't seem to work lol.

And in terms of Mafia based games, there are very few. I remember some back on PC a while ago, but nothing recent. But I always wanted a game like this that had the strategy aspect.

There were a couple small time games Wendigo, but honestly nothing really with any depth or enough substance to justify spending the money on it. I'm pumped for this, for 2 reasons I love XCOM and I plan pretty much everything Paradox makes so this game child they're making is like a dream come true. Plus it's the first good looking mafia game to be announced in the last 5-10 years, I'm pumped for this game. I feel like unless you're playing on PC or a next gen console you may be getting a downgraded version of the game.

I don't think it's Series X|S or PS5 optimized. I could be wrong. But I agree, I play almost every Paradox game. I'm doing a run of Stellaris on my Series X and it's SOOOO SMOOOTH!

I'm geeked for this game. Can't wait to play it tomorrow. (even with the lackluster reviews)

Yeah I've heard some bad things on the reviews but honestly I usually just judge things for myself. All a review is, is just a stranger or group of strangers opinions. So I think I'll get it, I've been playing CK3 since it came out and my game with the most hours on steam is Stellaris. SO I'm right there with you on being geeked for this game man!

Yeah I know I'll like the game regardless. Most reviews are subjective anyway. And from what I read it's mostly bugs which can be fixed. But like you said, I'll judge it for myself.

Stellaris is great! I'm on console though, so slowly getting some of the new content.

Well hope to know that the game is pretty good or something like that the very least, I love games that include the strategic, weirdness, and out of nowhere antics like CK2 or CK3, so guys, lemme know! Would love to know! :D

Yeah it reminds me of Omerta - City of Gangsters except more modern. I'm excited for it.

IT'S TIME!!

So what's the verdict team? I haven't gotten a chance to download it yet? Any good? Any gripes? Any cheers? I'm firing up the Xbox right now to get it started downloading and installing so hopefully I can take her out for a spin tonight after work. Please advise.

Wendigo

So I'm not going to say its the BEST game, but it is better than what some of the reviews are saying. Yes there are bugs (some of which they fixed already), and the AI is sort of bland. But the gameplay itself has been fun for me. It's cool to see how your buildings upgrade. And I think it's also fun to see your faction's color start spreading across the map. 

Some people say the game is too easy at the moment, which it can be. But if you take time to build your empire versus rushing through, then you'll be able to enjoy it.

So idk, I would give it like a 6/10. Like I said, it has it's bugs and stuff, but the game itself has been enjoyable.
