Mr_Keating is blossoming, and full of good cheer.  He approaches his soap-box and begins to speak

"Friends, we have recently had a writing competition in which the prizes were only awarded to the participants, and the only fatality was non-contest related.  This is GOOD NEWS.

The Streets have been vibrant and active with faces old and new coming and going.

I think in the spirit of goodwill and friendship, inspired in no small part by my friend and mentor Dr_Satan, that we raise funds for a GOOD CAUSE.

This process will be two-fold:

Tip me as per usual;

Then message me with a note about what you believe the GOOD CAUSE should be.

Let's wait until the 25th Of November, and we will tally up the tips received and see which good cause is nominated mostl.

And folks: I'm happy to MATCH your funds, up to 100%.

We can really get something good going here.

I am a big fan of this idea. I'm sure the community can come up with some great ideas that we can put this money towards. I would like to make a small amendment and see those Good Causes posted here in the streets so people can have an idea of what is up for consideration. 

In this light I would like to put forth a Good Cause of my own: 'The Dr_Satan Center for Kids Who Can't Read Good and Who Wanna Learn to Do Other Stuff Good Too.' 

This has been a passion project of mine for sometime and would love to see it get off the ground. Thanks again to Mr_Keating for bringing this to us. 

I agree with you Dr_Nosewater we most certainly could raise money and do something amazing for the community. However I can think of something far more beneficial for the whole community in general. My idea is that everyone gives as much as they can, 100k, 500k, 1 million, 10 million, whatever they can, as much as they can. Given the current membership, I see no reason we can't easily raise $500 million. This would be a tremendous amount. Then we take all this cash, ball it up and give it to Cityhall. Yes, you heard that right  Cityhall. Then perhaps they would exile Mr_Keating like they have several of his ancestors, and may even make it permanent. Can you imagine? The Kuku bloodline permanently banished from our way of life! The partying alone would be awesome, it would be like 1,000 Christmases all at once!

I'm in favor of Lincoln's proposal. Ken's idea sucks.

Maverick I had no idea you were so opposed to reading and helping kids. No worries, I can't imagine any of your people would be around often enough to use such a center anyway, being so busy that is. 

Perhaps we'll wait until we have some more constructive input, before allocating any funds. 

I'm afraid not Kenny Ken ken ken. You see I would be too afraid that the funds would be misappropriated. You see I'd only be happy to see any funds I liquidated from my assets going only to the 'Exile Mr Keating' fund instead of the 'linning Mr Keating' pockets' fund.

I'm sorry to hear about your liquidation issues Mr. Logs. Perhaps try more fiber? 

Despite all that; I have heard stories of misappropriated funds in the past, so I can understand your restraint. Perhaps once we figure out what the money is going to you'll be more willing to contribute.

Unless of course you'd like to start your own fund as you specified earlier. I'd be very happy to see that the fundraising initiative took hold.

Overhearing a new discussion taking place in the streets and seeing Lincoln_Lawyer in attendance, he decided to walk on over, scratching his head slightly as the confusion seemed to get the better of him.

From what I have heard so far, am I correct in assuming that we are to donate funds towards this with no actual competition even being used to determine where the funds go? They are simply awarded to someone 'in need'?

Eyeing up a fancy home improvement store, he spots multiple jacuzzi's on offer which would look fantastic in the garden of his newly renovated Detroit HQ.

See, I could use those funds and really make our neighbours jealous Lincoln. Imagine the parties....legendary.

Overhearing the rather old looking Dr, still a wise-guy, addressing a Leader from his own City about being busy, he simply shakes his head and turns back to Mr_Keating.

So, I'll bite. You said "I'm happy to MATCH your funds, up to 100%". Lets test this theory shall we? Based on the fact that there are more reliable members of our Community out here, ones who have put in the effort to reach prestigious ranks, I would like to nominate Godfather-Chairman Dagda to hold the funds for the donation I wish to make, also testing your statement above.

I am happy to make a $10,000,000 donation from the City of Detroit towards the prize fund, on the basis that we actually have some form of competition to earn it. Secondly, this donation will only apply on the grounds that Mr_Keating matches this donation to Godfather-Chairmen Dagda. The funds should only arrive from Mr_Keating, no other sources, since he was the one to make the declaration.

Well Mr_Cheating, as I won't be holding any money, the task of compensating your victims should you decide to pull out that tiny little thing in you pants and murder entrants the way you ancestors are fond of doing, will not fall upon me. Perhaps Ken Doll or whomever ends up holding the prizes will vow to compensate any of your potential future victims, or perhaps you'll keep it zipped in your pants this time.

Personally I think Godfather Dagda would be a fine person to do it.

Back to things that are actually relevant, SatoruGojo do you have any propositions on a Good Cause we can put the money towards? I'm sure we can put together a nice competition or some type endowment fund if we had some more ideas. 

Hopefully we can get some more inputs on what all this money should go towards! 

Nothing irrational about it, nothing incosistent about it, you line is scum, and a drain on the joy of so many, and if the gods were to hand me a magic button that would erase you from existance I'd spend the rest of eternity pressing it every couple of seconds just to make sure.

Wow, Kuku at it again, yeah I also think it's a truly harsh thing to let Kuku get those cash and he will perhaps do it again such he has done before sadly enough.

Reall dangerous time this and I don't want this to happen again.

Lincoln_Lawyer I would like to schedule a consultation with you at my office. It sounds like you could be suffering from OCD if you can't stop yourself from pressing that button. 

While still serious we might be able to help mitigate some of the effects. 

I appreciate the honor of being suggested by Mr. SatoruGojo and Dr_KennethNoisewater - however my involvement in such a fashion would be dependent on the "cause" that is determined to be worthy of the money gathered. If a truly good cause is determined and not some farcical nonsense, I will be happy to take up the role of bank pool, and perhaps donate something of my own as well.
