Pure elation set in as the wormy worm not only rolled the perfect 1000 but the pathetic House couldn't even muster up anything better than a 16, this would surely place him back into the top three where he belonged. The worm had done it again!

Only two more days, the worm thought to himself. You just need to hang tight for a little while longer, and then you've not only bested the entire field but also made short work of that pesky pirate who attempted to take everything away-- this was all that was tumbling around in the skull of his for the past few minutes, and then, an announcement, that there would be a gift to anyone who could hit the number 69 first! While this was a curious number to attempt to reach for a worm, as he had very little understanding of its meaning, he went over to where House was standing and gave it a try.

Hours passed and nothing happened, there was no mythical 69. That's when he heard TinyTim from behind him, they sounded so happy to have won; they hit the number before the worm could. This was sad, he was sad. Yet he would not allow this to deter him from still attempting to beat his own numbers.

"Let's roll. I'm going to hit 985 now. Just to prove it can be done."

It couldn't be done, at least not by him. His throwing arm was weaker than ever before and his eye felt heavy, perhaps tomorrow would be the day that he would reach the coveted number. Then again, maybe not. 

"I'll be back, House. Count on it. You can ALL count on it!"

Could anyone actually reach higher than 985? Hopefully not. That would be real fucked up.

Balls was a little bit late to the party but he always enjoyed a gamble, and hearing about the competition being put on he couldn't help but dig into his pockets and start throwing some dice. It didn't take long for the high numbers to start falling, and at 05:41:15am he made his highest roll yet, hopefully enough to land him a spot in the tournament stage.

 Balls hadn't given up on his dicing just yet, and kept throwing and throwing them down until he hit a new personal high record at 05:53:29am. Early morning dicing was certainly paying off for him, and he wasn't planning on stopping there. He was going to keep going until he hit the fabled 1000, or until he achieved bankruptcy.

It was 08:05:45 and Balls had come so close, and yet so far he'd been unable to hit that magic number. He'd rolled 998 a few times, 997, even 995. Quite a crowd had formed to witness the dice spectacle taking place but there was only one person that Balls was looking for.

"StifflersMom, where are you? Balls requires your attention."

Balls waits and finally StifflersMom makes her way through the crowd. He knew she'd be there, anywhere Balls was on show she'd be there watching. He holds out the dice in the palm of his hand and she knows exactly what to do, blowing on them for good luck.

Balls shakes the dice and throws them down one last time, praying to all the deities that he could imagine, and as the dice land he can't believe his eyes..
