Tell me about your pets! | Started by: FishTheKitty on Aug 03, '23 08:23 |
My first ever pet was a Pug/Pomeranian mix. I got him as soon as he could be separated from his mother without health concerns, and he was my best friend for 14 years. He never left my side. Traveled across the country with me twice, rode horses with me, saw Mt. Rushmore, Boulder Colorado, the Great Plains for North Dakota, the badlands of South Dakota, and more. He was an absolute gangster of a dog, thought he was 30x bigger than he was, and I can count on one hand how many nights we spent apart from the moment I had him until the moment he left this world.
My second pet is a cat named Finneous. He is the reason I'm awake right now at 4:45am, but I've learned to appreciate having more time in my day. He's violent, but in the best ways, as he takes after his brother, and is a gangster. He a homebody, but I have a bubble pack, and he will also travel the country with me when he finally decides he wants to, but he's still basically a baby and isn't really ready to be my adventure buddy yet. His time will come.

My fur buddies are now down to tuxedo kitty and German shepherd. Tuxedo kitty is 7 years old and likes to chew my plants. Also, when I'm trying to sleep, he likes to consistently walk back and forth over my torso and then bump his wet nose on my face all night. But he's my buddy =] German shepherd was brought in for my dad. He's one and a half years old, and loves to run very fast. His favorite is playing catch and running after the ball. When you throw the ball you have to arc it so it bounces high enough for him to snatch the one hopper. Pup is definitely a handful! They are family and I love them both. |

This year i got a new pet, it's a dog called Cookie. He's at the period of biting everything and carrying our slippers everywhere. Let's not talk about the digging part. |

I have two pets! I imagine I’ll be revisiting this thread a lot so I’ll start out with the first one. Sanka is a wonderful chocolate lab. He’s my big old lazy boy who I’ve had forever.

I have a 150 lbs Cane Corso named Pac. He is just a baby and knows nothing of his size! Very lovable to the family but if you aren't let in by a family member best you just stay outside. |

I have two dogs, still puppies really. The baby is Shiva, a pitsky, Pitt bull/husky mix, female, with incredible husky eyes on a pit bull body. Looking deep into her six-month old eyes is sometimes creepy, she looks like she knows your every thought and really isn't impressed! Lol. The older one is a one-year old Shepherd/Mutt mix. He's the troublemaker, chewing on everything, and barking at every speck of dust that moves! They are a handful, but I can't imagine a day without them! |

I have a pet Gekko. I was approached about also acquiring a pet Gopher, but due to such a poor experience handling the Gekko, I've declined the opportunity to also have the Gopher. There is very little appealing to me about having pets, especially Gekkos or Gophers. Would not recommend. |

I work at an animal shelter and I do rescue so I always have a full house lol. Currently I have 4 cats and 4 dogs that are mine. A GSD, 2 Pitties, and one small mixed breed thing that I thought was going to be a GSD until she stopped growing. I also have two GSD fosters right now. Occasionally I’ll foster mom and pups and it just so happens I have a mom and a puppy right now, too. All ready for adoption. And I’ll be glad of it because I’m ready for a vacation lol.

I have a cat. Siberian cat. He thinks he’s a dog, and behaves accordingly. Thank god. I dont really like cats. Dogs however.. For some reason he was given the name «DaddyCool». Not my idea! |

I have 2 kittens, well I guess they are almost 2 years, brother and sister. The girl is super tiny and adorable, the boy only has 3 legs due to cancer when he was a baby. |

I had two cats. Bugsy (not my name choice) and Gary (very much mine). They were a funny pair but didn’t work as proper cats should. Gary would drag local snakes, in through the cat flap and reenact the entire fight in great detail. Only got me to have to point out to him that the snake were in fact just rubber seals from neighbouring kitchen doors. This happened numerous times before he eventually gave it up. Fucking idiot. His brother, Bugsy, pulled a bat out of the night sky and delivered it to me completely unharmed. This breathtaking displace of feline prowess, only served to immaculate our special needs Gary. |

Where to start? We have 2 dogs - a female neutered Lurcher cross Patterdale terrier who we rehomed (as in we took her on) as a 4 month old, due to the fact she was living on a concrete yard and not being interacted with, and a miniature smooth haired Dachshund that came in to a veterinary practice at 8 weeks old unable to use his hind limbs. He's not a 10-mile a day menace! 2 horses as we lost one last year - a thoroughbred and a Welsh mountain pony (section B), one severely mentally disabled cat, and 4 sheep who were hand-reared by my wife. They are all spoilt rotten, as well they should be! |

I had two crazy street dogs, basically not mine, but they lived around the building and everyone was like part owner. And I also had a fish who exploded:D
