Best Player ever as much as it pains me to say this has to be Maradonna, with Pele a close second.

Best Player of my generation Zinedine Zidane the guy is amazing, nothing that man couldnt do on a football pitch.

Current has to be Lionel Messi.

I accept your submission for Pele as its a close call but Ronaldinho, the guy has talent but has wasted it. He can go missing for entire guys. Yes he is skillful and does some outrageous things but nowhere near being the current best player. Messi, C Ronaldo, Xavi just to name a few that are currently better than him.

Can't really pick a best player of my generation as I'm only a young'un but the best player of the last couple of decades is Paul Scholes through gritted teeth.

Lionel Messi is my favourite, so awesome to watch how he single-handedly tears defences apart. My favourite all time player has to and always will be Emile Heskey. Legend.

i have a question for you, why Maradona?... amazing player did unreal things but i can never say he was the best ever.

Maradonna technically was amzing I don't like him and I dont like what he does outside of football much prefer Pele but when it comes to raw footballing talent you look a videos of Maradonna and Pele and Maradonna just had that something that little bit extra. He strength was unbelievable and if you watch his skills. Most players still use them now.

Ronaldinho if he has achieved everything why is he still playing and ruin what could of been a great legacy in 15 years time who is going to remember him for what he did? I know I will remember Messi, both Ronaldo's and Zidane more than him.

When i watch videos af Maradona and Pele for me Pele had that extra that makes him the best.

But i guess our opinion on what makes the best player are different.

Messi current best player but i would like to see him in a different team then Barcelona just to see how he fairs. i would also like to see more from him in his international team

My favourite player for a really long time was Robinho. It has to be Mario Gomez and Philipp Lahm now though.

FiroProchainezo - I was watching Ronaldo on YouTube he was immense. I would say for my generation Zidane, Ronaldo and Messi as my top 3. Messi has the potential to one of the greatest but as Acid said he would need to do it at another club and for his Country. As the other 2 proved everywhere they went that they could produce the goods.

I think Beckham was the last great but since I can't think of anyone as accurate. C.Ronaldo I think is more hit and miss as he relies heavily on the movement of the ball through the air and I dont think he has any real idea where the ball is going. As sometimes his efforts are just wild.
