Don crews pledging subordinate ‘Made Men’ double the donations which they receive in tributes, city heads refusing to read telegrams because of hurtful words, fire-bombing HQs for demolition experience only to realise self-demolition isn’t a skill that is required or rewarded in our line of work, family fees that reach into the pockets for 25% of what their destitute crew members earn, shooting the Corrupt Agent of your own upper structure then informing the world you’d made an oopsie… these are just a few more ways the Ligambi crime family have provided us with this week to, once again, display their lack of competence - and it’s going as you would expect.

There are those who would have been reassured by Uncle Jo(k)e sending out telegrams re-affirming that there would never again be another case where rank incompetence would be allowed to breed in such vast quantities that basic removals pose more of a danger for mobsters storming quiet cul-de-sacs in the suburbs than the Great War did soldiers defending the banks of the Somme.

For those of us paying attention, it seems this pledge was not capable of withstanding a week in Ligambi territory - and honestly, at this point, it’s almost whimsical to watch. To those beleaguered few still managing to cling on to the coat-tails, in spite of being dragged through puddles, hedgerows and being face-planted into walls at the tail end of these incompetents, you eventually have to ask yourself why? Why do I still allow my reputation to be sullied by association? Why is the cabin boy going down with the ship whilst the captain eats lobster, safe in a warm, dry rescue vessel? What do you owe the regime that has shown you nothing but contempt?

StripheGotti was sitting outside dining at a local Italian spot that he liked to regular. The chairs were comfortable, large, metal with cushions and the table had wine glasses and different plates all scattered across it with napkins all folded up thrown in the middle. As he took a deep breath and listened to the sounds of the city he could hear the honks of cars, the pitter paddle of feet across the concrete sidewalk as people rushed around the city. It was well into December now and the weather was normally cold but today was the mid 60's and people were outside in force. He noticed OPEN signs being flipped on most the businesses and doors and windows being opened to allow fresh air into their establishments. It had been a few weeks now since the nation was turned into chaos and the morgues filled with bodies and things were rebuilding and starting to flourish once again. The Las Vegas casino was rebuilt and all of the local mobsters were working hard to get things back in order and all of their products streamlined across the nation.

As he leaned back in his chair he motioned to the waiter to bring them some more lobster and wine and then a few minutes later to bring the desert without delay.

Do you think any of the infamous Ligambi incompetence comes from senile Uncle Joe operating with a hole in his head where his brains leaked out?

EgonSpengler, you are clearly well spoken. I've heard about your presence in the street and felt that the lack of responses did not fit the quality of your words. So here I am, likely to fail at providing additional response. 

I do not know your blood line. I do not know you apart from what I can see standing here today. To me, you are no one I should take too seriously. You have no skin in the game. You are blooded to no family. This is likely the same reason others don't take the time. I would love to hear you out but everything I've ever learned or has been passed down to me by my forefathers tells me that a person in your position will do or say anything and nothing all at the same time. 

I would like to add I did not make claim one way or the other of your statements, merely that your lack of involvement in this thing of ours prevents those statements from being given much weight. Perhaps something to consider. Perhaps not.

You raise valid points Summer. I am a nobody. I just share the things little birds chirp my way - relaying it in a form that removes all question of my loyalty to any family.

As a thought experiment, pretend the things I’m telling you are true, are these acts a competent leader would pursue?

Imagine there were - say - only four people committed to chasing rogues whilst crew leaders with less pocket space, and fewer gun notches hid behind their bodyguards… if you were one of the committed four, is that not knowledge you would appreciate knowing?

If a leader pledged loyalty and honor as the cornerstone of their leadership style, yet behind closed doors, bragged about killing people he promotes to the inner sanctum of his family… is that not something someone new to our shores should be aware of? Or should the new blood be allowed to find out they’ll be rejected ‘Judgement’ style, six months down the line?

In short, I’m merely a vector for public service announcements. I disseminate the information I’m given, when the information seems reliable. The question I would ask you is - do you find the information I share to be credible?

Very interesting thought experiment, EgonSpengler. I wouldn't ever discuss family business in the streets, nor should anyone.

That is my response to the thought experiment as well as the question of credibility.

To be clear, any information you are getting is likely not from the inner circles and if it is, then the person or persons giving that information away can't be trusted. 

I feel almost lucky that my bloodline has not seen what has gone before but only what I can see now. 

I say lucky because I have not seen the acts that you allude to and I have not, yet, seen the issues that you describe. That is not to say they are not there but only that they are not yet apparent. 

What my hope is that my families diaries are shown to be true and we return to a time when rank was respected over all. Rank was earned by those that did the right things and not what their family line had achieved and that paranoia does not trump loyalty to a member.

There is a chance, on a reasonably blank canvas that has drawn my line from the home my predecessors fled to when this world got very twisted, that we could build something good. If we build something good then you can only hope that the inhabitants will flourish and the new faces will increase.

For that is what we all truly want. Well, at least I hope it is?

Alen, I’ll say nothing of your current situation beyond recognising your leader was the right hand to the man who made that particular decision. I know not of her recent, independent leadership, just that purging happened during her tenure as RHM… saying whether she was aware at the time or not would be speculative on my part. I hope - if she was aware, she has realised the err of her ways, and taken steps to remedy protocol.

Insofar as rank being respected, that would be the most favourable outcome for us all, because as far as I can tell, this tyranny benefits nobody - least of all the tyrants. From what I’ve seen, the cost to them is oftentimes higher than the reward at the end of the day.

I'll keep this short... Ligambi has given chances to a lot of new blood to be in leadership positions... Positions that their lineages have never held before. What you call incompetence is in most cases innocent ignorance.

Most of them are trying to learn, and rather than be harsh, perhaps you should give constructive criticism so that they might improve. It will be a feel good feeling all around. 

So then it’s a lack of tutoring that has led us to a series of catastrophic takedowns, which claimed the lives of these innocent ignorants? Ignorance can only be remedied with knowledge, and if the required knowledge hasn’t been learned, and ongoing apprenticeship is happening unsupervised, I would consider that a failure of leadership.

Nevertheless, if you actively aim to drive the experienced ‘businessmen’ from our shores, how can you expect experience to thrive? As one part of the duopoly operating this model, perhaps you would be good enough to explain, Spike? Sure, it ensures the cronyism you wish to protect survives to serve your interests, but as I said previously - it comes with a cost, and that cost is evidently incompetent leadership.

At the end of the day culpability rests at the door of two individuals; the ones who thought they were capable of running a country like a night club doorman, deciding who gets the velvet rope treatment. I’m just here pointing the shitty end of the stick to highlight that incompetence, you’re the ones ultimately failing to lead.

Is that not the leader responsibility to look after their members and protect them? Or did the hog the pro shots for themselves?

Is This an alien concept to you?  Im not sure if ive misread the context of your comment, however ill address it as ive heard it. AS a  leader you should be excepted to be pro'd first. I dont see how ANYONE would have issue with it, or use at as a point to argue with.

Im sure you're familiar with war room etiquettes, But a lot of the time the "leaders!" generally are far too busy chasing the rogue gun men around. As a rule, or, any good war room, will have a nominated person..who is not a leader to sort pros out of people In the order i stated. As has been the case for the last few war rooms ive sat in, some say ran, There wasn't enough pro's to go around. So in that case, Yes, pro shots are prioritised in order of importance. 

And that is just the way it is. Its the way its always been and further more, its the correct way.
