I'll tell you exactly why he was "strung along". It's smart actually, my father did it to many people. You let people think they are safe so they invest time, money, and spirit into their account. You know they are destined to die, but they do not. They invest their resources in the hopes that they have been granted forgiveness, whatever that is. In letting them invest then killing them you accomplish two things. One, you severely diminish their war chest. The credits, time, and spirit invested are all lost in a single move. If you kill people too early they just have the resources to build again. By killing them late you waste their investment and their resources for their next attempt to rogue. Two, you wound their soul. Each time this happens to someone it weighs on them heavily. You do this in the hopes that they will eventually just give up their fight and fuck off as we have seen with many others. Number 1 minimizes their risk for next time. Number 2 nullifies them completely and sterilizes our world of their presence. |

Me? No no. I am merely a relic from the past trying to give some insight to the bleeding heart peons that think we can all hold hands in harmony. A man in Curtis's position cannot afford any mistakes. If he let's one person get through his net, it's all over for him. This is a game of survival. He is a survivor. He is doing what is necessary, even if it is painful. By in large most of the community is safe and has nothing to fear from the man. But, people who have repeatedly done wrong in past lives should not be given a chance to do so again. If Curtis was a bleeding heart cuck like so many others he would have been dead long ago. Now a question for you my dear Tenley, are you suggesting that Curtis should be removed for the good of the game? |

Yes Tenley, that is absolutely their goal, at least that of certain people. They want to drive people away and even threaten them that they will make their lives miserable until they do. |

| Judgement, from what you just said it sounds like you are very much pushing players out of the game. But in answer to your question about Curtis, regimes go up and they go down. It's the way of the game. I hold no ill will towards Curtis or anyone else. Just asking questions as people state things. | |

I only ask because you seem to be sympathizing with the would-be martyr Toaly in your prior post. Forgive me. I am just asking questions as people state things. |

| Pretty sure I'm allowed my own thoughts. I disagree with bloodlining, that doesn't equate to wanting Curtis dead. It just means I don't agree with some actions that people take. | |

That's the thin line, isn't it? Do you let guys who have (perhaps repeatedly) come after you in the past, build up their armies and trust they won't do it again? If you're the man on top, you don't. His whole game now revolves around wacking anyone who might be coming for him. It's no longer about climbing to the top. He's already there. I think Pollution is probably right, in that position I think you'd probably shoot first and then forget to ask questions. It seems cold from down here, but as I mentioned in that long post of mine, at his level of the game that's all there is to do. He's almost an NPC Villian to be shot at by everyone else now - his game is now all about staying alive. It's like part of the Godfather job title: "Be that guy everyone hates and dodge bullets, while shooting at anyone who looks even slightly suspicious in their actions. Let God sort the good and bad eggs out. You ain't got time for that." I'm sure no one wants to drive folks away from the site ... that ruins the game for everyone. If you have no one to play against or with, what's the point of being on top. Nah. They just want to make sure that everyone who might have enough power/respect/motivation to come at them, can't do it. But... maybe that's just me and how I see things. |

Well, less cruel than what the pheasant is referring to... Did he change his ways? Did he change who he worked with in the shadows? Perhaps that's why things ended for him the way they did. If he didn't change his working with known rogues (known not only in the past, but more importantly in the current era towards this regime), then sure, it is a reasonable move to allow someone to think they are being lead to a grassy vibrant pasture, to only lead them the slaughterhouse. Is that cruel? Perhaps.
Change is important sometimes. Toaly is not a cruel player. In older histories, he was generous, loyal, and charming. Perhaps he can reform back, but the crowd he hangs with is very dark, very angry, and dégueulasse.
The pheasant talks rough. His family gets ravaged every year on a holiday. I can't imagine anyone wanting to break Toaly's spirit. He's actually a kind person. There are other people that aren't so kind, but he is not one of them. |

You are right LuckyLucy. As I said by and large the community is safe from the man and his people. Is it those quiet regime topplers and vocal minority that need to worry. It isn't about driving people away from the game as you said. It's strategy. The sad fact is is that their isn't a much better or more effective way to deal with would be wrong doers. |

Sounds a whole lot like "drive people away completely." I mean, he said sterilizes our world of their presence. He's straight out saying that he's purposefully used this tactic in order to discourage people and make them give up and leave. Anyone who gets anything else out of that statement has serious reading comprehension issues or is simply naive. |

I wasn't denying it Stefania. I am saying it is a strategy to keep to keep the status quo going. It has to be done or someone will kill our dear leaders. Sure you can kill their accounts in their infancy and eventually demoralize them, the effect would be the same. It is just far more work. Plus, that's extremely boring. No one likes killing children. |

Oh I see what you mean. I meant its not a tactic to kill the game and drive away the masses. It's a targeted tactic. |

Sounds like a contradiction to me. You say you weren't denying it but you just did.....You may not be trying to drive people away right this moment (tho I would beg to differ), but you have used this tactic yourself in the past. So you were trying to get people to leave the game in the past, were you not? You were trying to drive them away through your actions, which you just stated yourself. |

If you're going to tag me, ohh, at least accurately report what I was doing. I was pointing out that a system that encourages communication, mutual commitment and interaction specific to the account the individuals are actually playing isn't in fact about bloodlining, which you incorrectly asserted it to be, it is the opposite. I would also question why you are in any way surprised that LarryLongNeck, long time RHM of Disorder, would actually speak in favour of a policy put forward by not only his former boss and current Godfather Chairman, but by the man who brought him this far in the business. Only some sort of moron would expect anything else. And, despite how ridiculous you're all being talking about driving players away and purposefully breaking spirits, if you broadened your very narrow horizons wider than the end of your bilious noses, you might realise that Curtis is actually playing his character, Disorder. His character, Disorder, is embattled, widely reviled and continually under attack by fanatical people who spend their days trying to bring down everything he spent his life building. He worked for green, stepped up under FitzChivalry and walked into the firing line when he died. Please engage your brains for a moment and consider how a man in his position would act in the face of everything being thrown at him. What is a man like that supposed to do, sit there and smile while you put him in the ground? Hell no. Do you reckon everyone Salvatore Riina killed felt it was justified and they deserved it? |

Please read above. In your first quote I was saying I wasn't doing it presently, which I thought was pretty clear. For your second quote these are merely thoughts from a person who has been in Curtis's position previously. I don't really speak or know Curtis so I am only make educated guesses here. Whether they are factual or not is up to everyone else to decide. Was I trying to drive people way who would do me harm? Sure. What the fuck would I care if they gave up the will to fight? It just made life easier for me and my people, all be it less fun. |

All I was looking for was a clarification and an admission that you were indeed trying to drive people that you didn't like away from the game. You still do it to this day, just in different ways. You don't need to be at the top to try and break someones spirit. Thanks for the clarification. |

Please. If anyone's spirit is broken that easily they are weak enough to crumble under the weight of their own conscience. It wouldn't take any assistance from me. |
