Dear Madam Iris, I just called to say that it appears as if your package, intended to be overnighted to Los Angeles, has been mistakenly delivered to our Chicago headquarters. I woke up this morning to find a cartoon mouse wreaking havoc in our HQ's kitchen, a Canadian crooner waking up our sleepy family members by singing in their bedrooms, and two gay men spooning on the common room couch. Naturally, I was not happy with this surprise when I woke up, but I took the liberty of making the new recruits clean up the mess while I grabbed another hour's sleep. Don't worry, I hold no ill feelings toward you or your family, and I look forward to the Java Cartel and La Famiglia dei Guardiani working together for a very long time. My dear Iris, Spicy will work quite well. It's what my friends know me as. And, heavens knows, I would not want your breakfast to be making a reappearance--things are bad enough with the bums constantly trying to sneak in to the HQ to sleep for the night. After that nightmare, it's almost as if I've been waiting for a girl like you. But on another, more pleasant-smelling subject, I would like to let you know that we've been working tirelessly on the Chicago business district. She smiles thinking the inspiration for her name has been found out.... Dear Spicy, Well done, you have figured out why my mother called me Iris. The lyrics touched her in so many ways. The feelings that they bring to me are like homebaked apple pie on a cold winter night sitting by the fire... She wipes a tear from her eye and continues to write.. Madam Iris, I must admit that I look forward to your next visit. I have been hooked on them since I became the Right Hand Man of Chicago, and started living the glamorous life. Just a hint--I love chocolate chips, and I'm allergic to raisins. So don't use them, unless you really want to hurt me. And, if you can't make it to Chicago, I just might have to come see Philadelphia. I've heard you have opened up a new mini-mall. That, and I just find myself missing you lately. Iris, my dear, As hard as it can be, keep the faith. Our paths shall cross, and it will be magic. Regarding Mr. Mackey, I hear from him time after time. It's been a while, but I'm sure he'll jump up at some point. He's never been one to remain out of touch for too long.
