The basis of this idea is that you should be able to communicate with family whilst in jail to arrange to be busted out.

The original idea specified the user being allowed 1 mail to someone on the outside. Other suggestions have been to modify this to allow the crew chat option from jail.

Personally I like the original idea, 1 mail. Choose wisely and hope that person can arrange for your release.

In the criminal world we live in, we have connections all over the 7 cities and so its feasible your best chance for release isn't always going to be your family. That said, I don't actually have an issue with it being amended to crew chat instead of a mail, I just feel the "1 mail" option is better.

Anyone else got any thoughts on it?

I personally would find a crew chat injection far less annoying that continual mass mails about it.

I think it would be a worthwhile addition, provided that there isn't scope for widespread nuisance.

I think the 1 mail idea would be sent to a single user and not have the ability to mass mail. Crew chat would be less realistic as your contacting the whole crew with 1 message.

I'm with Flash on that one, I think a mail is better and it should be a single mail, not the ability to mass mail various users.

I wouldn't support it if you got the opportunity to send "continual mass mails." The idea is based on 1 "phone call" so I think, literally, one mail should be able to be sent if we're not going with the crew chat option.

I believe I misread the idea as "continual mass mails" was never an option. Not quite sure where I picked that up from, actually.

Anyway, I have no issue with either a single mail or a crew chat message.

Here's a twist, what if instead of either a mail or a crew chat message it is a message sent to another players personal's like this:

Oct 02, '12 14:06 You received a call from Squishy: Bust me out, I'm in CH jail.

When in jail you have two text fields that are like money transfer in the bank page where you have message and who you are sending it to. Once you click send the box is removed and you can't send another message.

I'm liking that Flash, that sounds good to me! I'm still happy with whichever is easier for the Coders to add though, that or the 1 mail.

I'm liking Flash-Fire's twist to it as well. I'm fine with either option, though, so long as the communication is limited to a singular point. (one mail/message)

I like the short message and the personals idea. I ignore my mails for long periods of time, but I always click my personals when they flash.

I think if we do the personal, we allow it to send the mail blind to the original user, but still land in the personals box of 1 person in the crew who is in the correct city. If it was the mail option, then the chances of getting someone who is in the same city is annoying, and i honestly dont think many people would fly to get you out of jail 30 seconds earlier than you would be busted out by someone else anyway.

I would prefer the personals option.

Personals option sounds good to me and seems to be the popular consensus.
