Personally a huge Zelda fan, so BOTW takes it for me hands down :)

so it deserves to be one of the bests

Aye, CS 1.6 I have very fond memories of. Skipping school to hit up a LAN joint in the CBD. Cost me my education, but who needs it anyways :) No little shits trolling and being turds, just straight up fun.

Currently started on Assassins Creed Origins, and is my new fav game. Assuming Red Dead 2 will be the newest, and by the looks of it Far Cry 5 before that. Will have to wait and see :)

I've enjoyed a lot of games over the years including some really iconic ones from the Fallout, Legend of Zelda, and Final Fantasy series among others, and the one I stick to for this kind of question is always Final Fantasy VI (III in USA). It was a game with some flaws on the mechanics side that made most of the combat eminently breakable, but without abusing those things it had some tough moments. It also had a really ambitious story to it and was one of the first games I know of to have the heroes fail so hard that the world gets essentially burned to a shell of itself, but still fights on. It also dealt with some fairly deep and serious topics for the SNES days like grief, loss, depression, abandonment, and coming to terms with self image versus other people's view of you. I always thought it would make a good mini-series (as a movie would definitely struggle with the length).

Probably not the best game but I'm really enjoying playing Dungeon Defenders 2!
