DJ has been listening quietly to the conversation and decides to take advantage of the lull to ask KOOP about the The LV Business District policy which he was unaware of. Presumably then there will be others for whom this would be new information. After quickly straightening his tie and making sure he looked as good as possible DJ strolls over the the King and extends his hand. Excuse me good sir, I'm well aware of who you are; but regretfully we have not been introduced yet. I figured instead of waiting around for someone to show up and introduce me I might as well do so myself as something you just said really caught my attention and I feel that perhaps there may be some urgency in getting this information out. Even more so with the current surge in interest in Las Vegas which is being fueled by the new casinos and some of the awesome deals which have been being advertised. KoOP quickly sizes the man up and motions for him to continue, Brady's the name, Jim Brady. Prozac would introduce me as a friend of ours. As I said I am well aware of who you are. Now you mentioned something about The LV Business District policy. I was completely unaware of this policy. Would you be good enough to expound a little on this. Perhaps you could also direct us to a place where we mind find more information for "tourists" in your fair city. It's an awesome place and I certainly wouldn't want to do anything inapropriate and jeapordize my future there. I'm sure there are a great many others whom also feel this way. Thanks... |

Rourkey strolls on down the streets and notices a tiny crowd gathering around a small Dirk-ish man. I'm embarrassed that some of you bother to listen to civilians any more, especially unsponsored ones. I thought it was industry standard that the common response to these new folk would be "piss off, you wanker. Who gives civilians the right to speak anyway?" I guess I learn something new every day. |

| You will find this highly publicised information in the Streets, just over there near the other flyers. I believe you can find the transcript of notification from theMaCutfer Eterprise there too. | |

Why do you assume I'm out of retirement, Acute? Because I made a speech in the streets? In a world based on text, it is not really that significant of an action. Even you did it about a month ago. Yes, you will be forgotten. Seems I struck a few nerves here. If what I said applies to you, take it to heart and seize the carp. If you do not feel like it applies to you, then ignore it and fade away into obscurity. The choice is yours. As far as the charges of hypocrisy, I might remind you that as RHM to Anita, my ancestor Ulysses created the 48 hour rule which was later instituted as an ordinance from city hall. My ancestor Piggeh began to institute a policy of one Boss and one small ten-man crew in every city, much like city hall later experimented with in the form of Captains. So...whatever. Instead of looking at yourselves, point the finger at me, but in doing so you are revealing your amnesia. |

Personaly Piggeh. I think you should have more respect for your elders. *smirks* Moving on. What he says is probably right. I can only talk for Mr_MFer and I suppose Acute when I say that Las Vegas has been quiet recently. We have not been seen out and about telling you all what our plans are and such. Why? because if we told you all our plans then they would not come to much, would they? The casinos for Las Vegas are a big thing in our eyes and we did not just want to see them pass by as a money making scheme. Instead, we thought long and hard on ways to improve what was already on offer and how we could get punters to our fine city. These ideas are now introduced and the world can tale advantage of them. People can also try and put them down. I am not really arsed if you want to bad mouth them as 'unmobster like' because that is your right but in a few weeks time remember, We did it and you didn't so let's see who makes more money shall we? Let's see who is remembered for offering services you are too bone idle to do or too thick to think of. Also, we didn't copy every idea either.. Oh and I would say 'Rank up and do something about it' but the fucker probably would and i'd have one big sad face crying into my cornflakes. |

It's amusing to see such prestigious mafiosos getting on their knees so deferentially for a thug. If I were a leader mentioned in here, I would personally take umbrage at these allegations slung my way.....or I wouldn't listen to this speech as I toil away in my ivory tower focused on nothing but my own lovely visage. |

I assume it because you made it clear that you were giving up the life of crime by posting your great-great-great-great-great-blah-blah grandfathers Shot Record (something you were adamantly against), so to me that would suggest you would maybe fade away from the recent goings-on (or not) yet you have come here hoping to give some Leaders a kick up the arse. Doesn't seem like "retirement" to me - I do enjoy vibrant characters such as yourself though, so welcome back. It doesn't bother me one way or another what you have said here or what you feel needs to happen. This kinda speech always rears its ugly head after a certain period of time so I will happily go back to getting my Casino in order and watching the pending fireworks.. Should there happen to be any this year! |

"Why do you assume I'm out of retirement, Acute? Because I made a speech in the streets? In a world based on text, it is not really that significant of an action. Even you did it about a month ago. Yes, you will be forgotten." Oh the joy of being a short lifer... One can fly in to the cities, rant out about how everything is wrong, break all rules of OOCitis in the street and display signs of serious multiple personality disorders. Kid, I highly recommend that you check in to your local hospital, get checked out and after your inoculations, get back to life and decide what life you wish to live and stick with one. Sitting on the fence, will only get your balls ripped off. |

Vladie, (May I call you that?) You might want to also check in to the hospital and deal with this issue of overwhelming fears that's plaguing you. |

What get's me is the people jumping on the band wagon, if you agree and have said "At last, someone said it!" or "Why did it take a civilian to speak up" then you are one of two things: 1. A little pansy who hasn't the balls to say what they think. 2. An absolute fucktard who didn't want to say what they think for fear of backlash, then agreed with someone else anyway, thus putting themselves in the firing line should any backlash be forthcoming. I happen to know that Guardian, though not a great street talker in some people's eyes, is a great leader. He runs a tight ship, respects his members but will fuck them up if them mess up. Those outside of the family are unlikely to know these things, does that make him a bad leader? Of course not! Likewise, I'm not going to judge the other family heads through my ignorance. P.S. Guardian, I actually hate you, you're shit, I just said those things to prove a point. |

Considering it was you that brought the debate to the streets, that response is a let down. We've come to expect better. For a man of such experience and freely forthcoming guidance, there doesn't seem to be much meat in the hypocrisy retort. |

| To be fair, SwingingBo, I believe the hypocrisy retort was an excellent chance for Dirk to champion the past accomplishments of his lineage. | |

*shakes his head and puffs his joint* *exhales* *speaks wit smoke flowing from his mouth* *in Jamaican accent* Damn pussy clots!! I agree with the responses Rourkey has made. A lone thug means nothing. Sitting under the protection of what he acknowledges to be his own rules. If this where any other mobster this conversation would have been shot down a long time ago. I say show me some action! Now the action begins. I wonder which CL has the balls or tits to accept this lonely thug as their own and the reactions from it. Lets see. Or will he run back off in to dark and show up again in the future. *puffs his joint and continues listeing* |

Pig, I respect what you've come here to say, but I agree much more thoroughly with Denver's thoughts. I strive to make my family happy. Whichever way you look at this thing of ours, it SHOULD be about business. The amount of money taken in for a profit. This is not about playing takeover, and talking smack, and showing your muscles. Not in my opinion anyway. You cited Philly and Detroit specifically. The two things implemented here are about business. More people pickpocketing in Philly = More people in the city = more business district activity (Ideally, more revenue) Detroit Tax = More Money You want things to be done by "the rest of us", perhaps you should look back more than seven days in the speeches that have occurred right here on our streets, no? Surely you will see plenty of contests, speeches and such by "The rest of us". Since when does a society that revolves around speeches require taxes and regulations to make people happy? |

P-G, surely you jest when you are giving "respect" to this thug? A basic tenet presented to my father when he entered he shores was that respect was EARNED and not GIVEN. I respect my family head, MickeyRourke, for what he has accomplished in this world and I hope that through due process I have earned his respect as well. This thug may be descended from noble bloodlines or he may just be another Dirk in sheep's clothing, yet he is still just another thug who must earn his respect in my eyes. |

Finding an interesting debate in the streets, he finds himself drawn to it and his apathy fades, if only for a minute. This is a very interesting debate. I am looking forward to hearing more people take positions on this debate. It's a question that's been asked of every generation - "What have you done for me lately?" I see both sides of this debate. I think there are points on each side. I'm intersted to know from the community how they feel about the life we lead these days in these times of peace. People are actually getting the opportunity to grow old. That's something our ancestors rarely had the opportunity to do. These peaceful times mean we are able to accomplish some of our goals - reaching Made Man, taking an important position within your family. Having the opportunity to expand into a crime family of your own. These are the opportunities we have by holstering our guns. Now, that being said - is that a good thing? I don't know. Do we really have opportunity? I look on these streets and I can barely cross the street without stepping on the toes of a made man or higher. With all these crowds of high-ranking gangsters, when will we realistically have an opportunity to make a name for ourselves? Maybe war is a good thing to cleanse our streets of these crowds at the top? I don't know. I will wait to hear even more on this subject. |
