Well Brick_Pollitt. I think this long peaceful period could be a good and bad thing.

A good thing, in that, if there is a goal you wanted to achieve this is the best time. If there's a rank you never got, this is the time.

On the other hand, this could be a bad thing because once war does break out there will be deadly circumstances. We can only imagine how well trained the guns out their are.

I can predict now, that if there is a major war of any kind, we will see more than half our community wiped out. If the guns are as good as I think they are.

But than again there's only one way to find out. Now or later, who knows.

Quiet isn't bad, it just gets boring sometimes. Considering that we are mobster and known for killing and strong arming!

I dont agree with you on bit you are totaly wrong there are a few things you need to lean why would anyone go out of their way to start somthing that is not needed and be killed to get there name remembered, if you are patient and you make all the right moves for yur crew and you are active in the streets and you also know what exactly you are talking about you will Gain respect.

Respct doent come through killing everyone arouna nd getting your name remembered infact I wouldnt want to get my name remembered if I was remembered for being a Trigger Happy leader that puts my crew in danger, I don't think it woul go down to well with my children and thats what would happen you would be remembered for starting wars.

Do you think you would ever gat the chance to become a crewleader again?

ask yourself that question and then tell me your views on the matter.

Muqtada spits on the ground as he walks by on his way to a meeting. Bah. It's easy to come out and ask leaders to "do something" or underestimate how hard it is to "do something" when you don't even have to worry about how your actions will influence others and your lifespan. Perhaps I would take more credence of this point of view were it voiced from someone who is actually a part of Our Thing.
Report Post Tip
Sonic, I will forever remember you as being the only person to have shot two sponsored members and survived.

Do not come out here talking as if you have shot no-one in your life time. You're not as peaceful as you make out.
Report Post Tip
And you are also a mong, Sonic. My speech was about being remembered and using the opportunity you are given as a CL. I did NOT say "be remembered by killing everyone". There are several other ways you can be remembered. If you were literate, you would have noticed the examples I gave with Marietta - "Tea Time and ranking to Godfather". Not Marietta for "killing everyone and loling". Sonic, you are no longer allowed to speak without my permission. Go to your room.

Muqtada, if you do not wish to take credence in my words, that is your choice. History will prove me correct when you are not remembered in another four months. It's a shame, too. I have listened to your speeches and regard you as one of the very few who understands the life of a mobster.

Shock Horror. Hayley again has nothing to say about anything.

I am dying 10,000 deaths of surprise here!

Piggeh, willy-nilly attempts at upsetting the order to make a name for yourself is certainly not the respectful way that a mobster carries himself. In many situations, "doing something" is a ticket to a watery bed with finned companions.

Frijj... I have no idea what you're talking about. Perhaps the events you are referring to happened in some alternate universe, or a dream? In any case, the streets are not a proper place for discussing such matters.
Report Post Tip
In Hayley's defense, I assume she is hand-counting all of the cash I'm prepared to win for crafting her a "Family Song" for the Fallen Angels.

If not, it's a crooked system and I'm prepared to sue for false misrepresentation.
Report Post Tip
Rourkey won't win. I'm not really sure Hayley needs to reply to this discussion Eeetc.p, Piggeh's a thug, and she wasn't even mentioned by name. Plus she has an active contest running in the streets right now that precede this speech, so I'm not sure why she'd even bother with a retort to it all. I mean if Rourkey wasn't talking in this particular arena, I'm not sure I would've had anything to say either. But I tail him, and then rear him.

So....you're quite content to not try and precipitate change for the fear that someone might disagree with the ideas you put forward? I thank the Lord that not everybody thinks this way.

An alternate universe that sounds fun. However maybe there is only one thing that can be done to sort this query out.

Has anyone got a number for that lock, stock and two smoking cocks lady. I believe only indepth investigative reporting will clear this issue up.

Who wants to hear about my dream? All of you? Are you sure? Ok. I suppose I may have a few words that can describe it.

I was in my office in Las Vegas when news filtered through to me that a man with spikey blue hair had been seen to kill a member of this thing of ours. Not only that. But the guy was in a coma and no threat to anyone. I had been asked to be on the look out in Las Vegas for him.

I gathered my thoughts and walked out onto the street. It was lovely day. Very pleasent. I strecthed and had a quick look around. No-one had this ridicoulous coloured hair and I turned to walk towards the Buisness district

*BANG*

I knew, just knew, that it was gonna be blue hair I saw and I knew, just knew, that is was going to be one of The Potosi Mob.

I turn to see Zombie_Nixon fall to the floor, leaking claret all over the place and a streak of blue hair disappear away from the scene.

"You utter C word" I mutter.

I run after him but he is one fast little bastard. He turns left into what I know is a dead end and I slowly turn the corner cocky as fuck. The fucker is gone?! but how? I look skyward and see a fox like figure with three tails flying towards the bay. The man struggles but cannot break free. Have I seen a ghost? or perhaps. Ah, A God. It makes sense. He is dropped into the ocean and he does not resurface. Looks like the Gods sorted him out before me.

At this point my mind wanders and I fast forward a day. I am in New York. Outside a church, confused as to why the funeral was cancelled. Apprently, the man in the Coma did not die?! but how? He was registered dead? Then I see it. A blue flash. The little bastard. He escaped. I run over to put a bullet in his head but I am stoped by you Muqtada. You tell me nothing happened and it must have all been a dream. I demand vengance for Zombie_Nixon. You tell me the Gods have looked after his son. I am not happy with this but you tell me no punishment will be forthcoming.

I then apprently awoke, fully clothed in the streets. With many people coming up to me and asking what we were going to do about Sonic. I ask what? surely only I had that dream?

Apprently not. Many others saw it aswell. How is that so Muqtada. How is that so?

Hayley steps out of her HQ, enjoying the day. She somehow wanders into the streets, a place apparently unknown to her.

So I hear my presence is requested. And you are right, I totally need to come out here, spam these threads with thoughtless nonsense. I mean, its not like I do anything at all. I haven't done anything in the streets lately, no contests, RP's, or threads. Oh wait, I have.

So you want to know what I think. Well fine, I will tell you what I fucking think. I shall bore you with things that you could give a shit about anyways. So, where to start. I see so many people complaining that nothing is done around here. Seriously, what is it you want to see? What changes do you want made? Come on, don't be shy, tell us lazy leaders what you want. Or you can just sit back, keep complaining, and let your ideas go to waste.

There have been some stellar points made, and I agree with both sides. Piggeh, I can see your point to an extent. We own these cities, so why not do something different and interesting. That I understand. Your topic does make some of us think, makes us strive to do something better and makes some changes if needed.

I also have to agree with Denver. Just because you do not place some crazy rules in a city, does not mean you are shit leader. Its all about family, at least to me. Does your family love you? That to me, means more than anything. My family always comes first. Anything I do, I take into consideration how it will affect them.

And it all comes back to this. What do you all want? I am all for public opinion, and appreciate your thoughts. I prefer not to just do things for fun, or because I can. If I do something, I want to to have a good effect on the community, something that will change our world for the better.

So yeah, there you go. I pulled something out of my ass just for you to not read, and then bitch about. Happy now?

Throws her cigarette down, and just walks away.

Frijj, you had best tread lightly, boy. I have no idea what you're talking about and you're slandering the name of one of my hardest working family members. Sonic is a noble man who has proven his loyalty and judgment time and time again.

As far as your elaborate story goes, I know that some time ago Sonic came to me and told me of an incredible series of events. A demon came forth from the pits of hell and used his body like a marionette, and the Gods stepped in and banished his body to the eternal flame to prevent more carnage from occurring. Thankfully the Gods were merciful and he was returned from the flames after the demon released his control. And I know that later a God stood before me in person, saying he had erased many events from the course of time and that things were set right now -- this Zombie_Nixon you refer to had been reincarnated with a different name, and the others that the demon had used his puppet to slay were likewise alive once more. I am a God-fearing man, Frijj, and I do not question the course of time set down by our Gods by bringing up tales of non-events from alternate universes where the Gods exert no power. Perhaps you are less God fearing than I, and need more incentive to cease your lies and slander. So let me assure you personally, there is plenty reason for you to shut your mouth and cease this verbal assault beyond the religious.

Personally my two cents says there is a limit to what leaders may do within their city and yes, they should be careful not to lose what they have now. If they lose what they have now, how can they change things in anyway, shape or form.

We live in a society that frequently has periods of stagnancy which is down to multiple reasons, some which can be solves through flyers on the street even if only temporarily.

The problem is this thing of ours has been going so long, there are not that many new ideas just re-hashed old ideas and there is a limit to what a society can do.

To me the primary thing for a family is the control and education of its members, as not like we all come pre-packed off a shelf with all the knowledge of the world and the greatest of skills. Once the family has dealt with it's security, control and education and then with the time and resources it can think of ways to change but it needs a level of strength to do so. Rome was not built in a day and neither are our cities here.

Luckily I am blessed with astounding intellect, so I can see both sides of the arguments here.

Quite frequently, people come up to me and wring my hands with delight, telling me of the good times they had with my grandfather, Don Branston, and telling me of what a solid Leader he was to them, or their forebears. No matter how good he was to his family though, he will never be remembered for it; as the bigger picture was that he helped bring about a course of action which precipitated the deaths of hundreds of mobsters.

Conversely, I read family diaries as far back as the time of Don Camilla, the leader of one of my ancestors, who reported of his intense dislike of this Don, and their frequent fights and arugments. (Good job our bloodlines have been reconciled since then - the two illutrious lineages were even brought together in a shotgun marriage in the past!) Despite this dislike though, my forefather had the utmost respect for Don Camilla on the basis of her control of the Hotel Unions in New York; those who leave behind a legacy will always be remembered and rightly so.

Is any legacy better than no legacy though? I can't quite make my mind up. On the one hand I sometimes would rather Branston, and I'm sure he'd agree, be remembered as the Don who always did right by his members; but on the other hand, I have never been a person wants to be marked down as an also ran. Anyone can be remembered for running a tight ship and caring for members; only the the few can leave a legacy and ultimately, those few should be wearing the bold suits.

On another note - I think some of us here need to get back to the topic on hand; throwing around idle threats in the heat of the moment is almost always a regrettable decision when viewed in the cold light of day.

Rourkey blacks out on the street. He wakes up several hours later.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh my head.

Does someone need city suggestions? I think I remember hearing that in my drunken stupor earlier. Here's some ideas for y'all.:

- Create an entrance tax for the city. Charge families a set amount per week allowing their members unfettered access to said city with massive fines or death penalties for anyone who ignores the rules.

- On the other hand, completely lock down a city. Refuse to let in anyone from another family. Hold a tight grip on your city and don't let it go.

- You can hold one of them old-fangled "auth contests" to help bring a new family head into the fold.

- Start a city newspaper to help spread the news of your city to the rest of the mafia world at large.

Now where the hell has the rest of my whiskey gone?
