OK use my father as an example all you want. But I promise you 75% of this community agree's with me. 

My father approached defy about the issue within his paper. Funny thing is? Defy did his normal, "I would do anything for you bro I know you weren't attacking me. I drop hallucinogens on a daily basis so I really don't know what's going on here bro,' sort of response. He even let my father kill a member, and then Numbers came at him strong at first later apologizing for how he handled it. Surely it was a game of his. 

Now, the sad thing. This community is suffering. The fact that the garbage presence of "gangsta rap" is even acknowledged is a fucking disgrace. My father had respect for the majority of NY, with the exception of a few, and yes Defy you were not on that list. You may be a good mafioso, but your a piss poor leader. There is a reason why your an omen. Glance in the mirror. You have had my bloodline as a Hand before and by their journals they made it apparent that your only concern is friendships rather then your Families. 

Now the only reason my father didn't push the issue the night N4G flew in to kill bugs, is really because I had faith in the others in NY outside of Staten Island. DanTheMan and Amestyst, or however you say it, especially. The fact you two even bought in too the bullshit that a once bloodline that was prevented from joining the world for cruelty is beyond me. Now, I told Numbers myself that I disagreed with his bloodline being banished because at one point I had. After recieving the "real reason" behind it, I must say falling into his "I r spechul" bullshit was a mistake. You Sir are a disgrace for not opening your eyes and seeing the destruction. I took your bloodline being ancient into accountability and that was a huge mistake. 

My father expected you would disallow such actions from even taken place in the streets. So did Maple, who stated Numbers is a better man then that. You proved us wrong. Your no longer ancient blood in this bloodlines eyes, your just a newbie who has a bit of power. Not being taught respect of what my father and friends as a whole were trying to build on. 

The Morty and Lush bloodlines disappointed me the most actually, I know Numbers had it in him but was hoping he wouldn't act on his stupidity, but took Morty and Lush's bloodline as one of integrity and morals. 

Face the facts the real reason you did what you did, was because Jake no longer existed. Plain and simple. 

I have so much more to say but my mouth is getting tired. I will say this as well, Primus you were the biggest disappointment of all. Even from Jakes lineage you knew this was coming and stood by to watch while people who you built prosperity from stood by and died. And why? Because you felt that you attempting to hide a Witness Statement, in which Scumbag told you was wrong. So you felt betrayed from Chicago since they had some kind of respect, that you turned and went to Detroit to avoid confrontation. You want to call Chicago poor leadership, how about you tell New York that they should know about you wanting to cover that shot up so you didnt have to pay the dues. You backed stab those you built with and your family should be aware of it. Then again though it's fitting, you joined Billy who a day prior to the take down was explaining why the community hated him. Hmmm, maybe this is why?

One final note, My grandfather WiggleButt Sr. was bashed for joining Panda in a non-winnable war. Well you know what? Panda was the reason he was around for as along as he was, at least my Grandpaps showed loyalty and stuck with it. The fact that he got so much blow back and the outcome that was held the other day, should show this world has lost it's touch. Therefore my lineage will have no part of it, for all I know, Numbers and Defy should have remained removed, their blood is a virus while starting off as the common cold which they have shown to be, to shape into the black plague.

This world no longer will be graced with my presence, I'm sure it's music to some of your ears, but others I apologize but until values are fixed I will have no part.

First of all, using BlackWidow's real life name is putting a personal touch on your statement, bringing real life into the game, which is in my opinion, a big no no. Pretty much everyone can agree with me on that.

First I'm curious, honestly, if there has ever been a war in this game that functioned more in the duel type fashion that seems to be requested here. Where both sides not only knew it was coming, but when it was coming. I am interested in stories of these events if they have occured. 

I suspect however that the thing that really brings the word massacre up here is not that NY attacked without CH knowing about it, as that's how these things have happened the entire time my line has been around so, like it or not,  we're all accustomed to it, but rather because of the impact doing so had.

The thing is that NY is big. Very, VERY big. For quite some time now the statistics from the gods have shown that  NY membership has never dipped below 40% of the mafioso population and at times soared above that. I heard it went over 60% at one point but I didn't check myself at that time so I won't claim that as definite fact. In addition to being large a good portion of the older mafioso (and their correspondingly older guns) reside in NY.    ((OOC: If anyone here happens to have a screenshot from before this war and has colored contacts that they'd like to share it'd be highly illustrative.)) On top of this imbalance CH had lost 5 crewleaders in the last few weeks. Even if CH had attacked NY instead of vice versa, while NY certainly could have been hurt, it would still mostly look like a massacre. This is not meant to be offensive, it's just realistic. While I personally would have very much liked to see CH flourish and become real competition, without even exploring the membership and just looking at the structure you'd find NY has at least 27 members who are IWP, The number of CH Made Man+ in the obits isn't even double that number. 

Let's be fair this is yet another power play by New York to mask over their own internal issues and appease the hitters. It was only a matter of time from when jake retired that NY was going to attack. The final countdown began the moment they dragged Starscream out of Chicago and plonked him in Detroit.

Starscream doesn't really seem dragged. Given his recent speech if he was forcibly transplanted I fear he may have some developed a fairly substantial case of Stockholm syndrome.

Hitters are always going to want to hit. It is necessary to have different factions because no matter how many residents of Delaware City are coerced forward through favor bought from the gods, hitters are going to become bored and impatient if that is all they're hitting. This makes the point you made about districts especially apt. But I'd like to address that elsewhere.

I do agree that the event seemed to be coming, and that Starscream no longer being in the city would up the likelihood.

I mean, lets face it, Chicago has came a long way from what their original goal was. With Prat in charge of Chicago, around a year ago, he had that city unified to the key. The day that Prat died, that dream died with him and his city. It wasn't long there after when we saw a new era with Odin. I have nothing but respect for Odin and his bloodline, but his reign ended in a what tore half of Chicago apart. Because an Ally of a district and Detroit with an ally hand in a few districts of Chicago fired upon Philly, who was an ally to part of Chicago as well. Lead to an inner city war, and the end of Chicago's unity to say.

Then, we had the period of Czylharz. Which, in turn ended, because they fired upon each other, pissing each other off, instead of holding a tight bond together. The primary goal of Chicago has been gone for a long time. Anyone who says differently... well, we just won't agree. It's been on a downward slope since that time frame.

What I see are a bunch of people upset that New York is stronger than that...

As for reasons for the war... Nothing said will please everyone. At least they are legit reasons, whether you like to hear them or not. We felt like boundaries of ours kept being pushed and tip toed on... So we ended that bullshit. If Chicago was having their problems, so be it. It's when you let that bleed on our turf is when we took action against it. Hate or love us for our morals, we stuck by them, and lived up to our word of caution.

Chicago was our ally? Nah. Last time I checked NY was our ally, like it has always been with us. Where other GF's have retired, and eventually found their own way to destruction, we stand strong behind the retirement of Lord Toaly. We don't have to be like the other cities. We decided to do this how WE wanted to, and NO ONE can change that.

I am usually right, and that includes the parts about you. Anna is trying to avoid a confrontation I wish to see, nice intent, but not something I desire so I'm impolitely asking her to stop. The disappointment was in me not listening to Godfather Jake's last piece of advice to me when he warned me about some of the CL's within the city of Chicago that needed to go.

Regarding my disagreement with Scumbag; it was never about hiding a Witness Statement. It was about chain of command.

Yes I left Chicago, the city that within hours after Jake's retirement was filled with whispers about some of it's CL's plotting to kill me due to their disliking of me having been given a district.

My father was one of those that was killed in Chicago...and while it saddens me to see that city flattened to the ground it saddens me more to see people throwing insults at each other. All of us have lost a loved one in this line of work. We all know the risks when we joined the crime world. While I understand the pain of losing a relative...I hope that this ends now and let the rebuilding of Chicago begin. Now amount of mud throwing and insults will bring those who have died back. My father died proudly for Chicago...although he was killed while he was sleeping. And I will honor those who have died by acting like a man and accept what has happened as it is.

Addressing someone by their coffee shop alias, when they themselves refer to that name on their person, doesn't appear to be too terrible of a crime to me. If you're seeking to embrace that side of yourself, it is a little strange to be offended when someone does what you're asking. If, like some of us, your coffee shop alias has nothing to do with who you are, then yeah, by all means call someone out on linking the two because that is a failing on their behalf and says more about them and their failings than it does you and yours.

Thank you for what I consider a truly great quote Mr Grey, it is close to my heart, but as you likely know not for any reason relating to this thing of ours. As for me and the effect the 'take-down' had on myself, it saddened, annoyed and even angered me at first. My father had only just returned to these shores and lived in the United States for roughly three days before being gunned down. On the day he died he seemed completely normal to me; he was happy and simply went about his day as he always did. I can only assume that he knew nothing of what was going on, and from the way he acted I don't believe he knew what was happening to his family when he was gunned down. I have to admit I felt bitter about that at first, especially when I found out people were calling his death part of a war, surely soldiers at least  know when they are fighting a war I thought. Now my view has changed though and I have realized I was somewhat naive to think of this thing in the same way one would think of a military conflict. I still haven't fully processed everything but I do believe it better that he died the way he did. He at least didn't have to know of or watch his friends die. I personally wasn't so lucky, I have to admit it hurt seeing many people I know he had befriended turn up brutally murdered, but that is my burden, not my fathers and for that I am thankful.

Right... insert name here. The chosen target was the only one still alive that I noticed. I've been informed of a group harassing a person who won't stick up for themselves and decided to come do that for this friend of mine. I have this tendency to butt into fights where one person doesn't stick up for themselves and deal with the consequences later, so far it's worked out awesome for me. Good mental awareness of a situation though, you're an inspiration for people looking to be awesome fellow crew members everywhere. You'd be shocked how well the attack one punk and watch them all drop theory works on people who intentionally target that type of person, but I wouldn't expect you to make an attempt for another human being. For all I know or care the person has been complimenting her tirelessly elsewhere and only added to her problems here very briefly.

The point I was making regarding women being handed things is that in most cases it has very little to do with the women themselves and certainly nothing to do with the Mafia.
