In my opinion best real-life mobster was John Defronzo. My grandfather and him were good friends and the stories those two had at the dinner table were a good time. I loved to hear about the old neighborhood in Chicago it was cool to see a side of that man that many probably never did. 

Charlie Lucky Luciano he changed the program to prevent petty wars, he did business with any ethnic group willing to make money and he took care of his friends when they showed him support.  it was business not total control and removal.
