ThomasRourke was RHM to The Riot! headquarters? I always assumed Aurora was the second-in-command to Marietta since her arrival on these shores! Guess I have been sleeping my way to the top with the wrong member of the family. |

StillSwinging, prior to your last response when you said "We'd be better of if you just left it at "Listen, we did this because we can"..." you said: "Ah yes, stock answer #43513, if in doubt, answer that you did it because you can and that things don't always have to work how they have in the past." It seems as though you're not going to be satisfied with anything that the three Godfathers are saying in regards to this recent move. That's your right, you can have your own opinion. However, it's a bit contradicting when you ask for an explanation then once you get on, revert back to "well you should've just left it at 'we did this because we can'." If you ask for answers, be prepared to hear them. |

That last sentence is far removed from your opening speech, Thomas, very far removed. That is the point. It was some cock and bull chat, when really, it was plain to see what this whole move was about. There is nothing wrong with wanting it, who wouldn't want to be a Godfather, of course. The whole issue here is the way it's been done. I'm not going over old ground, it's all been said by this point.
I do not represent anyone but myself, this is all me. I am not here speaking on behalf of anyone. The fact there may be others that share the views I've voiced is not really my concern, nor am I doing this on their behalf. I've not become faceless opinion. The opinion very much has a face, mine. As for diversity, if you go over the transcripts of these speeches you will find that it was others that brought that to the fore, not I. I did add the stifling bit to it, but that's what I'd still call it. A two-man family moves into a city with the sole purpose of a rank. |

You can spin whatever double meaning you want into that, but I think it's pretty clear that the only thing you've become in this is mouthpiece for people who can't stand up for their opinion. And for someone who is preaching mafia morality, I'd say that being a support beam for people who are cowards and would rather remain hidden is about as hypocritical as it's going to get. |

Thomas/Marietta, I'm not replying to the street thread again, after this one, I'm done with it. However Billy, what you have posted in that last reply is out of order. You've taken an excerpt from a private Mobmail and used it out of context. That was actually qualified with a statement along the lines of me saying to her that I had no idea who else was complaining about it, because I thought I was the only one being vocal (Marietta said there were others). It was, infact, making it clear I was speaking for myself. I had MMs from people saying that they agreed with me, no doubt. At no point did I even hint at the fact I was speaking on their behalf. Low, but I can't say I'm overly surprised. |

You know, it's strange that you are now not only the board of mafia morality, but ethics as well. The same code of conduct which made you immediately question the Gods without any hesitation earlier. *yawn* - the MMs were basically between Marietta and I where I was trying to resolve the issues about this being a personal tirade based on bitterness. It was not, I said to Marietta that whilst I had nothing against either of you, I would be false if I differed my opinions based on who I was speaking to. I've not tried to "play" anything up to either of you. I MMed you asking you not to start shite about me being bitter when it was blatantly false. But whatever Tam, you keep plodding on. Tell you what, lets be right up front, why not post the whole MM chain? My first to Marietta, her full response, then my final reply. I think we will find no deception at all. Being diverse is great but i really don't understand how you can just go above someone else's head just because you are "ready" for a promotion. What happens to all the other "dons" in Marietta's family? When they are ready are they allowed to pick a city that you are friendly with and become GF of that one? This is a mere thought that has crossed my mind. One that has also popped to my mind, i had never witnessed a Godfather/mother being elected as my family was summoned back to Italy around when Scotland was elected, but now we have 3 and countless Dons. Does anyone not feel that these esteemed ranks are being acquired far to easily? |

You are sure that you are ready to move over to the grill and start making the beef/mealworm patties. You know exactly how it's done. However, when it comes time to fill a position at the grill you are not chosen, and you remain on the fryer. Sound familiar? It should, that's how the work world operates, and I probably hit quite close to home with my example. Now then, if this is how the legitimate business world operates, why in the holy fuck would you think that the world of organized crime operates on a "fairer" basis? 2. You did not say anything related to that at all. You did not explicity say the world was fair, but you certainly implied it by asking that first question. Funny you are talking about honour, followed by scoffing at our traditions and even Omerta. You probably don't realize that this thing of ours is all about tradition - 500 years of it - and things like Omerta are what separates us from common criminals. If these basic tenets are foreign to you, then you are probably a lost cause. Good luck in life, I don't see you progressing past Wiseguy if Omerta is a "silly tradition".
