I think the same old, though still very legit, counter argument comes into play Cruel, you whining hussie. His cities, his rules. |

I just wanted my two cents worth :) If this is the case,as it obviously is, I do not want to do business in either of his cities. Rather keep my dignity. |

After hearing the speech, Ares steps up to speak. I do have a question. How can you know if people are making money in your city? Does this mean ANYONE that goes to your city is responsible to pay? Or just those who make a cheap buck? Sits and awaits an answer. |

Dk steps up and says somthing Well this idea..yes it is ok i guess.... but 100k just for visiting your city when some of us dont even visit your city everyday ? Im speaking from my heart here i like the idea of the tax but 100k is abit over the top to be honest with you Jimmy as like i just said not many of us go to philly on a regular basis for example myself, on average i fly to philly probly 1-3 times in a week and i have to pay One Hundred Thousand Dollars just to do that and to make abit of money there ?.....wow im pretty shocked, oh and dont get me started on New Orleans how often i visit there..... lets say once every two weeks if that......... Dk walks back to his car and sits in there waiting to see what other people have to say... |

*Hears Sal extend a Mardi Gras invitation and 'Free Pass' to the seven cities and smiles thinking of the fun times that lie ahead* Too kind my good friend. Waving the 'tourist tax' during the peak tourist event, including all the festivities currently being planned, is generous to a fault my good man. Personally, I would have thought the idea of Nikki, Munchkin and the 'usual' Mardi Gras fasination with beads and wardrobe malfunctions would have led to astronimical fees being happily paid over.... but who are we to try and steal these wonders from the world at large. *Listens to some quibbles rise from the onlookers* If you don't often visit these great cities, then why complain? You are free to choose to visit or not to visit. The cost of the visit is clearly displayed for all to weigh up their options and make an informed decision. Philly has long been flooded with Mafiosa keen to empty the larger than normal stores for monetary gain and to visit the local prison to play with the larger than normal prison guards. The recent influx of cheap drugs to N'Orleans has also led to a surge in the number of visitors to the city, all making profits far beyond those that our forefathers could have wished for in the old days. All of these benefits provide the visitors to these great cities with benefits. These benefits now come at a certain cost, a relatively low one compared to the gains which can be made. While some might choose to abstain from visiting, many mafiosa feel a certain sense of pride... achievement if you will... from visiting all of the seven cities to ply different elements of this thing of ours. We have no doubt that this will continue into the future. With the funds obtained from the new move being used to facilitate the future enterprises of these cities. *Takes a moment to acknowledge the leaders still observing the discussions before stepping into the shadows* |

To those thinking the price is steep. Let me explain how I see it. I have given the option of a crew total. A 25 man HQ if the $1,000,000 is paid comes out to $40,000 a person. A 50 man HQ if the $1,000,000 is paid comes out to $20,000 a person. Now if this is paid out in this manor then you need not to worry about paying 100k. Although if it is not, you still have the option to pay it yourself but you pay the full original price. Now to the individual I am sure if you speak to me or Sal we may be able to work something out. |

| My friend Jimmy - if you decreed it was $2 a week per family, people would still spit on the ground. Pride... | |

Being Godfather, you make money off of everyone's drug runs in Philly. So basically the people are already paying you, some more than 100k. Now you are asking for additional funds, I don't see the reasoning in this. I don't see why you wouldn't want the Made and above roaming in Philly when they are bringing the cash to the table not only for them and their crew but for you as well. I would also like to know the punishment for catching a member of a family who did not pay. |

*listening to the on-lookers and smoking his herb* *blows smoke and smacks a pussy-clot* This is how I see it fellows. I'm in favour of the new rules. Many people having be making rules around here over the past weeks and months. People disagreed, but people fellowed. There should be no difference in this rule. *raises hand and approves* I..... *sits back and awaits those who choose not to pay* Guess we'll see No_Name guy..... |

I have a question, I think it was touched upon by my good friend Ire. What will be happening to the city wide tax a godfather can apply to his territory? Are we to assume that this has been set to zero? |

| Hmmmm... El_Nino you have a good point there my friend if we have to pay this tax thing to do Pettys and that in your city then your tax on Philly should either be Zero or if you want a cut of everything we get then why dont you take this 100k tax thing off and just put up the Tax you control in philly cause then you get a cut of everything and everyone gets in Philly..... | |

| I as the other godfathers have no control on the amount of money that is taxed in our cities. The amount was predefined by the godfathers before us and sadly the percentages where frozen at a set rate. Therefore there is no way for me to remove or even up the percentages. | |

The stores which are frequented in these cities and which are free to 'liberate' the takings from are that way as the store owners are not paying protection money to certain people *Nods to some of those certain people standing closely beside him* These 'certain people' have allowed certain establishments to remain open so that we can partake in our petty fun activities from time to time, while losing out in their own protection racket. The idea of passing a little of our gains from this to those certain people seems fair and nothing more than the respect due to them. The fact that it is now becoming a slightly higher price, with the slight hassle of it not being a fully automated transaction, is simply due to the factors of supply and demand. |

Godfather LionHeart, It is with deep regret that I have to inform you, based on this tax, that No New Yorkers will be visiting Philly or New Orleans anymore. I have sent a note to the members of DLS and informed them that they are no longer welcome in your two cities. Good Luck in your venture. Regards ~FF |

Sadly, The Cuties are also going to be restricting anybody from visitng these 2 fine cities. I have informed everybody to be out of these cities by the time the Tax comes into effect and I shall be making sure it is very clearly stated on my bulletin board so that people do not try and pull any funny business. Best of luck with your latest business endeavours ~ Acute |

Looks like there will be more room for New Orleans and Philly to operate. I agree as stated b4. It's just ashame that when others applied rules we didn't go through all this drama and misunderstanding. I hate to see the other families leave. That means less money I can take from those guys. Ow well.....just how the mafia works. *makes money all day in Philly and New Orleans* *heads to airport to purchase tickets for LV and NY* Well, I guess I will have to come visit you guys in your own cities |

Steps up and mashes out a cigarette on the brick wall of a drug store and address JTLH Though I do also strongly disagree with this tax, it is not my city. I do not yet know Marietta's plan on the situation, but I feel that it is an overly unfair tax. To tax even being in said city has never worked in the past, for said leader has been swept away. Maybe, you will be the one to make it stick for the first time. I do not mean this as a threat, but just a bit of history. I wish you the best of luck in this endeavor Godfather LionHeart. |

Attempts to walk up and give his opinion... I think the idea of taxing one to enter their own city is a beneficial one. I mean it is up to the Godfathers to do what they want with their cities. It is their turf. It was the same with the Detriot tax. Marietta felt the need to tax people while they were shooting up a storm in her city. She wasn't benefiting anything at the time while members from other families were gaining everything when she was not. The tax went into effect and she benefits. Everyone is happy. I think its similar in a case and agree with the tax. You enter their cities to make money off their drugs. You may be already taxed but they want a little more. The tax is very reasonable. A respected Made Man can make that kind of cash within 4 hours notice. I guess all I can say is good luck to the individuals that decide not to venture in these two great cities. And someone please get me a drink as it is Mardi Gras. |
