Carnival had been before into a zoo, but a aquarium, never. As a child he would go with his family catch fish and loved doing so. But never going in it too deep. The Detroit Zoo and Aquarium was old news, everyone that passed through Detroit, went inside it at least once. It was managed by a well respectful person at that too.

Carnival, was waiting for a friend to appear, she wanted to look at some of the creatures inside for a long time, chuckling at the thought that it might end up being fun in the end, he enters inside paying the fee for himself and also his friend. While waiting, taking his time looking at the map and where the roads lead. 

Having waited for a while, looks at his pocket watch, after the the main entrance. Before that he had seen the map and knew most of the directions where they lead to. All he had to do was wait for her to arrive but she never did.

Laughs out loud for a few seconds thinking that he should have expected something like this. Gets up from the near by bench he was seated. Pays the fee to go inside. Takes the left side, the aquarium was why he was there in the first place. First thing that he saw was that huge shark. They were left alone because of the danger if populated with other fish they would be eaten instantly. So sharks were left alone. A little further away there were more smaller fish, jellyfish the starfish which found it funny every time he gave it a watch... 

Half an hour maybe an hour passed by just by watching almost every fish. 

Glances at his pocket watch. It was getting late, time to buzz of here, thought to himself.

Spring had arrived early to the Detroit Zoo and Aquarium. She was supposed to meet a friend here but just couldn't help herself. She loved animals and the zoo seemed like such a wonderful spot to go. She really wanted to see the lions, pandas and sharks. They always fascinated her.

So she stood in front of the gates and waited. She entertained herself by skipping along the gate to see how long it took and when she was worn out with that she settled for counting backwards from a hundred. She was beginning to chastise herself for being so early to begin with. So she went ahead and purchased two tickets. This killed enough time that she wasn't just about to hop off out of her own head.

She brushed her hair out of her face and reattached a fallen flower. She loved flowers in her hair. They were just the most beautiful thing she thought. She could sit and think about flowers for hours so this is what she did to pass the time while she waited.

Stefan finally arrived 5 minutes late and found Spring gazing into space. He approached her I hope you weren't waiting too long he said and she dragged him into the zoo as quick as she could. He had not been to a zoo in about 30 years and that was not a good experience. As they walked in he looked around and found a sign post that informed them of all the animals they could see and things they could do. He decided to let Spring decide as she looked incredibly excited to do just about everything. He watched her analysing the sign and then followed her swiftly towards her destination.

"First stop, lions! I want to see a lioness Stefan." She giggled and headed in the direction of lions.

Spring was her usual bouncy self as she began down the trail to the lions. She trailed her fingertips against the rails that she got close to. She was never afraid of animals. In fact sometimes she wondered if perhaps they sensed that too. Either way she was going to see a lioness.

"Hopefully I get to see a lioness. A strong female. It will be just beautiful."

She turned her head to look over at him just before they reached the cage. She quieted down and watched. Standing close enough to where they were held she kept her eyes out for a female lion. Spotting one she was in awe. She wanted to be a lioness but wasn't sure she had it in her. Spring was great at organizing things but she really didn't think she could kill. Never know though, she thought.

"What do you think?" she asked quietly.

Stefan looked at Spring in all her excitement and chuckled to himself. I am sure you would make a great lioness. He gazed over at the lions and slowly walked closer to where Spring was standing. As he approached he continued to stare down one particular lion. The lion began roaring and seeming agitated so Stefan stepped back and allowed Spring to continue enjoying herself. "Lions" he thought to himself of all the things we could see first she picked the lions. The most defensive hostile creatures in this joint. Why not a penguin. 

He turned to Spring and asked her if they have penguins here. She looked at him amused and led the way. He felt relieved. Penguins were calm creatures. What could possibly go wrong with a black and white tiny little waddling blob. As they approached the penguins there was a show going on as it was feeding time. He didn't feel so anxious around these creatures so he sat next to Spring on a bench as they watched the crazy looking creatures being fed.

Spring was amused at the penguins. They weren't on her list but she wondered if maybe Stefan would prefer to be eating fish like a penguin. The thought made her laugh out loud. She was sure she looked crazy but once the image was in her head she couldn't help herself.

"Maybe you want some sushi with the fluffy little birds?"

Spring laughed and let him watch the penguins a little longer. After about fifteen minutes she looked at the list again.

"Next I want to see the Pandas. I think those shouldn't be too scary for you, right?" she asked.

With a backwards glance to make sure Stefan was following she headed off in the direction the map said to go. As she followed the path she did look into other enclosures to see what is there.

It didn't take too long to get to the pandas. She once again got lost in thought as she watched them. It was turning out to be a great time for her.

Im not scared he hissed but it was too late Spring was already off towards her next destination. Stefan was beginning to think he should of eaten before coming here. It wasn't fish he wanted it was a nice pint of human blood that would of done the trick. Lion would of worked too he thought to himself. He could see Spring lost once again in her own little world and wondered to himself what she was thinking about. He was glad she was enjoying herself at least. He loved the excitement she generated. The pandas seemed OK. They were mostly sitting around eating bamboo. Living the simple life. Oh how he longed for the simple life once again. To see the world as one big adventure like this women in front of him. He shook his thoughts aside and stood with Spring once again.

What would you like to see next? He could see it was all too much for her to decide so he suggested perhaps the snakes would be a good idea, just to prove he wasn't scared of anything of course

Spring's eyes widen at the mention of reptiles. They were her least favourite. She was really hoping to avoid them.

"Are yo.. you.. sure those are what you want to see next?

She looked over at him. She was stalling. Normally by now she'd already be on her way to the next place but this time she would be dragging her feet. How could anyone like something that slithers on the ground and hisses at you?

Stefan chuckled darkly and looked at Spring. Your not scared are you? he laughed. He grabbed her hand and pulled her along for a change. Come on you will love it he dragged Spring all the way to the entrance of the reptile cave. It was a little cave looking building with windows on either side. As they walked in he watch spring all the time laughing to himself. As they approached the exit to the cave he noticed a man was letting people hold a selection of snakes. He walked over towards the man and held his hand out to hold the snake. The snake slithered between his hands and up his arm. ​Look spring isn't it amazing. Would you like to hold the snake?

Spring had been carefully avoiding getting too close to any of the tanks they had for the reptiles. She was slightly shaky and felt sick as she looked at the snake that Stefan was talking about.

"Uh maybe next time." She grabbed Stefan by the arm and quickly exited the cave. She didn't stop until they were across the zoo and in the aquarium.

She paused momentarily to consult her map to where the sharks were. She immediately began trailing her way towards it. Watching the colorful fish that she passed.

"Come on." She said.

Stopping right in front of the big shark tanks. She smiled a little bit as she watched them swimming around.

"Are they not great?" she said.

Sharks, awesome do you think we would be allowed to go swimming with them. He stood near the edge of the tank. Here fishy fishy fishy ​now he was enjoying himself these animals really didn't care too much about his presence. He continued to wind Spring up asking if they had spiders here or if she wanted to go deep see diving. They watched the sharks floating around in the tanks for a few more minutes then Suggested they go get a bite to eat. 

'Yeah I could use some food. All the talk about deep sea diving and now I want sushi."

She chuckled. She wasn't nearly as grossed out by sharks as she was my reptiles and large insects. Moving away from the tank she headed towards the exit. She didn't need to check if Stefan was following along because she already knew he would be. Surprised he lasted this long without food. She threw a quick glance over her shoulder to see where he was.

As they walked out of the gate she smiled.

"That was fun. Where to for the food now?"

It was a pretty average Saturday, Britney was lounging around her apartment. She had her morning cup of coffee in her hands and the radio on, she really wasn't paying attention to what was playing she more just liked the background noise it created. She took the final sip of her coffee and went over to put the cup in the sink. Figuring she would go walk around the streets, possibly see what kind of trouble she could get into. She walked over to her radio to go turn it off, just as she was about to hit the power button and advertisement started to play. It stated off with animal noises, then a woman's voice telling everyone to visit the Detroit Zoo and Aquarium.

Britney stood there for a moment as the ad, went through a quick lineup of animals it had. Britneys interest peaked when the woman said something about Penguins, she loved Penguins she always thought they were so adorable with there little waddle and black and white patterns. Being that she had nothing to do, she knew exactly what she where she was headed. She grabbed a pen as the lady started rattling off the address off on radio at the end of the ad.

She looked at the address on the paper, she knew exactly where that was. She put her shoes on, grabbed her bag and headed out of her apartment. She contemplated hailing a cab, but it was a nice day and the zoo was only a couple blocks away. So she began walking, seconds into her walk she began humming another random song and before she knew it she was smack at the front gates. 

She handed the attendant the $3 for the admission and took a map off of the desk. Walking through the gates she propped herself up against the first gate and opened up the map. Her eyes looked all over the place until she saw it ( Penguin Exhibit ) she looked at her surroundings then looked back down at the map. "Ah its that way" she thought to herself, she folded the map up and stuffed it in her bag. There were so many other animals on the way to the Penguin house but she didn't care she was there for one thing and one thing only.

The building was just in the distance a smile beamed from her face, she quickly picked up her pace. She barged through a crowd of kids flung the doors opened and walked inside. The room was a bit cold but it is understandable I mean come on its Penguins. She came upon the first group of penguins, they were short and fat and oh so adorable. With their little white and black patterns it looked like they were going out to a formal dance or something.

She stood there for a couple minutes, thinking about how much she wanted a penguin. She wondered if it were possible to "borrow" one of the zoo penguins. They had a couple dozen of them she thought to herself "I don't think they would miss just one of them" She thought back to a conversation that she had just had with one of her partners in crime a Philadelphia native MsGentle. It is one that made her laugh every time she thought about it, before she knew it the minutes turned to hours.

She looked around to see if anyone was watching but there was a security guard on duty and a zookeeper cleaning one of the exhibits, if she were going to do this this definitely wasn't the time. She pouted for a moment but thought perhaps someone she knew might want to help out just maybe someone out there didn't think she was crazy and would go along with her.... But who...
