Why did you join Mafia Returns? Started by: Ricky_Dicardo on Apr 09, '09 21:35

I joined back in 2006 or 2007 because my boyfriend at the time was playing and convinced me it was a good idea. Fast forward he became my Husband and we would still play MR together and compete on stupid things like racing to certain units, racing to complete the achievements, and so forth.

when I was young I played a mafia game on browser, its almost the same as mafia returns but with little differences, in 2017 I remembered it and wanted to play it again and while searching for it I found MR at the first glance I really thought it was that game, but with different ig names and since then I'm stuck here.

I started playing this when a friend from school introduced me. After a short time, I was hooked and played it for years. Live happened, and now I'm back! 🤘

I really like these browser based games and play a few. I played this one a while ago and am starting to get back into it!

Found .org on FHM top 100 games of all time, that obviously went down, played a few other things like Global Syndicate and Afterdeath, then MR came online and I was back in the game

Seen the game when voting on one of the top 100 sites another game I fool with had. Give it a attempt for to get a feeling. So far pretty good

Ohhhhh I Have Playing Mafia For A Hot Lil Minute Now :P

But The Reason That I Had Started Playing Was Because I Was Pretty Much Stuck At Home,

Being A Solo Mother And I Was Somewhat Bored Outta My Brain

Especially Because Another Mafia Game That I Played Before This Had shut Down.

Glad To Say That 10+ Years And Im Still Here :D

God it was that long ago I dont remember but am pretty sure I was playing .org in like 2002 or 2003 and someone suggested MR can't even remember who... Old age for ya loose your faculties eventually

I had a fascination with the mafia IRL so I would read as much as I could about them and wanted to play video games role playing as mafioso. So, in my search for a game to play, I came across MR and all these years later I'm still here.

I picked this game up to join and support my brother who plays this game. I come from the game Torn and thought my experience in a war-torn city (no pun intended) would help. It did a little, hut politics are way more important here. Over in Torn it's more about who is bum hurt about being called lame. Here is the real deal.

Is that guy looking at me funny?

My wife and I were having a tough time and she set off to the capital with her family (all of them) to get away from here. I found MR and it reminded me of Dark-Future. Been here ever since.

At the time I was in a host of online text-based communities and somehow stumbled across this game. I'm not sure anymore of what piqued my interest at the time, as its nigh nearly 10 years ago now, but I think the community aspect kept me in.

I joined MafiaReturns.com because I was looking for a game that goes beyond simple mechanics and actually rewards strategic thinking, patience, and interaction with other players. What stood out to me is that it isn’t just about quick wins—it’s about long-term planning, understanding risk versus reward, and building something over time.

I’m drawn to environments where decisions matter, and where you can see the impact of your choices play out in a dynamic community. MafiaReturns offers that through its player-driven economy, competitive structure, and the importance of alliances and reputation. It creates a space where you have to think critically, adapt, and stay engaged.

At the same time, there’s a social aspect that makes it more than just a game. Being part of a community, learning from others, and contributing to something ongoing adds another layer of depth that I find really appealing.

Overall, I joined because it challenges me mentally, gives me room to grow within the game, and offers a more immersive experience than most browser-based games.

So, I played mafia returns way way back in the day when I was a young lad. Oh has it evolved!

I remember setting alarms on my primitive phone so I didnt miss drug runs. I'd get to made man, maybe capo then die. I think I really didnt get to grasps with the mechanics of the game. Mafia.org came along so I went there as I though that was the future. Turns out that was all lies bit when youre hooked on something so simple you stay hooked.

So years if not decades later I came back and thought id actually dig deep and give it a go at mafia returns. So far I tell ya! Im hooked. Hopefully ill learn fast and get hooked so I keep 9n coming bsck and back.

I had great fun on 2019's run. Said maybe chilling back, getting new friends btw

I joined back in 2015. I'm not sure how specifically I found the game, but I think I saw it advertised somewhere and got curious since it was a day that I was bored, or looking for something new to play; then it just sort of stuck with me.
