SpikeSpiegel has lost Turdy his pet cow, he remembers making his usual trips to the streets and a few local businesses but he isn't sure where else he could have scampered off to this time. If you see Turdy make sure click him so he runs home... or run somewhere anyway.

As with most things, we do it for the fun/competition/banter as much as the actual rewards.

Having said that, with future competitions in mind, I'd personally like to see the rewards offered match the effort put in when it comes to the competitions. If it's a luck based reward (shooting the goose), there's little to no effort put in and the reward can/should reflect it. When it comes to hunting across thousands of pages to find hundreds of ducks, where a couple of teams (looking at the scores it looks like only 2 real teams worked together... but that's just a sign that more team work needs to be fostered in the community to be honest) it really would strike me that a higher level reward (rather than a lower one) would be a better fit going forward with this type of labour intensive event.

Thanks a million for all the events so far though, they really have been a hoot and the rewards have been incredibly generous (even if the work/reward scale on this one is a little off relative to the lucky ones previously). Keep up the amazing work guys.

I'd have to agree. We put in a massive amount of work over 24 hours and those of us who got the perk rewards gave almost all of them away. They are not something any of us (who I was with) would ever want or really use. I personally opened two for myself and sent the other 8 out to various people. That's how meaningless a reward they were.

As a reward for randomly shooting something, fine, that would have been a fun reward. But for 8 people doing between 12 and 16 hours work each in a 24 hour period, it seemed a bit of a kick in the teeth.

Curtis I am sorry that you feel the 12 - 16 hours work you put into playing this event feels like a kick in the teeth. We take your feedback very seriously and have taken on board your comments. We will in future not put in the 40 - 50 days work for these events so you dont feel like your time and effort is wasted.

I wasn't referring to just me putting in those hours. I meant the many of us, each putting in that time over the 24 hour period.

It wasn't meant to detract from the efforts you guys put in to setting up the competition at all. It was a great idea, well worked and great fun for all, as have been the other events. My criticism is only directed to the reward selected as a prize for the event. The selection of prize has almost zero baring on the time allotted to creating the compete event or the entertainment created by it.

I have to agree with Satanta and Curtis on this one, the reward did not equal the the effort put into finding these cows. I think of this way the people that got massive xp for taking a random shot at a goose received crazy xp but the people that spent massive amounts of hours going through thousands of MR pages just received a kinda sub-par perk... (Just used one and gave away the others since running OC's is something I literally never do)

That being said I appreciate the 40-50 days put into this events, It's honestly been really fun. I would also like to thank Izzy for the prizes that I received.

i will be honest early on i never understood the competition and just went to sleep, towards the end thought would make a half ass effort and hope i get something even if x amount per cow. looking at the reward i am happy i put r/l before 12-18 hours of hardcore play for the reward.

i know is hard to find what the players want and how to reward them, especially the kill heavy side of things for some. maybe is time for a site wide survey of what players want and where has gone wrong when these competitions come? like zynga gives on it's games

I think all of you saying your prize wasn't good enough are fucking nuts. I would love to have had 300 days of an OC perk (unfortunately RL things took precedent over playing a game), that's a massive money maker over that period of time and something many people would be happy to have I'm sure.

You just sound like little children who got a gold star for their homework then complained that the star wasn't shiny or big enough. Grow up, ffs.
