Marietta once more rolls up the paperwork and places it to her mouth to magnify her voice. "Ladies and Gentlemen!" she crows happily, kicking Rourkey in the back of the head as she turns to face the gathered men and women, perched upon his back and he her golden soapbox. "The opening ceremonies for the Motor City Jail Birds has just begun! I have contacted Police Chief O'Brien and after exchanging a generous bribe, he and his men have rounded up bums and filled the jail cells. They will gladly look the other way while we take turns improving our finesse and stealth by breaking people out of imprisonment. Oh joy!" "Remember that to be eligible for the four one-million-dollar drawings you must be actively criming within Detroit city limits for a half an hour before each drawing. The drawings will take place at 16:00, 17:00, 18:00 and 19:00. Jails will hopefully be refilled every ten to fifteen minutes. Please use the Detroit jail etiquette when you are busting!" "While you are here, remember that you are able to pick pocket many Detroit Crime Syndicate associates, so keep an eye out and win some cash in the process!" "Enjoy, men and women of the Eight Cities (even though Saint Louis is totally defunct at the moment, asshole city)! Today is a glorious Friday!" Marietta claps in delight and encourages the crowd to do the same. She pulls out a briefcase from behind her back and unclasps it towards the waiting Mobsters and gives a huge smile. "Ladies and Gentlemen, here I hold in my hands a briefcase with one million dollars inside! Per the arrangements of my Jail Bird random raffle, it is now 16:00 and the first winner of the day needs to be announced!" "Everyone give a large round of congratulations to Scarface-TM, for winning the first random raffle drawing!" "Keep criming and jailing, everyone. Make sure you are active at least half an hour before each drawing if you wish to be entered into the next round!" "Thank you!" |

Scarface-TM hears his name in disbelief from the Godmother of Detroit. Being knee deep in a operation to break out every prisoner in the cities jails he runs as fast as he can to recieve his prize. As the first winner I would like to say crime does pay! Thanks GodMother! Back to jail I go! Scarface-TM runs off and back into his towncar toward the jail. |

Aurora hands Marietta a second briefcase, and once again Marietta unclasps it towards the waiting Mobsters. Clearing her throat she shakes her head for a moment. "All this yelling is making me lose my voice! Either way, it's 17:00 so you all know what time it is! It's time for the second one million dollar drawing! Everyone who has been actively criming within Detroit city limits for the last thirty minutes has been entered. Aurora, if you would please?" Aurora digs around inside an upside down bowler hat, obviously stolen from Rourkey since he's the kind of guy who would own hats. After moments of searching around she pulls out a single scrap of paper and hands it to Marietta. The blonde flashes a smile towards her Right Hand before reading the name quickly and turning her attention back to the crowd. "Everyone please give a large round of applauds and congratulations to StripheVenzetti, for winning the second random raffle drawing!" "Stay active, everyone! We have two more drawings left, and you could be one of the lucky winners!" |

Marietta appears, waving yet another briefcase full of cold-hard cash around towards the sparkling-wide-eyes of the waiting audience, each of them envisioning what they would do with such a large sum of money. With a smile on her face she merely turns towards her Right Hand Aurora once more and holds out her hand. "Ladies and gentlemen it is 18:00- time for our third one million dollar raffle! Aurora, if you would please do the honors once more!" With a nod of her head the dark-haired woman reaches her hand into Rourkey's silly hat filled with the names of all the people actively criming within Detroit city limits. After thirty seconds of teasing the audience by almost pulling out a name and then dropping them back in, Aurora presents the chosen scrap of paper to Marietta. She in turn reads it to herself, nodding in affirmation. "Well everyone, looks like we have our third winner for the evening! Give up a round of applause and a round of congrats to Don Noir of New York, for winning the drawing!" Cheers and whistles erupt from around the gathering, and quite a few people look disappointed. Marietta claps her hands together as the briefcase is removed from her hands. "Thank you all for keeping this fun and active for all! We have only one drawing left for the evening, so keep your fingers crossed!" |

A astonished Noir nearly falls to the ground in shock, a huge grin spreads across his face 'From the bottom of my heart thank you to Marietta and Detroit, a very generous prize from Detroit. The city really has gone crazy! More importantly I will finally be able to get that golden soap box I have been dreaming about for the last 24 hours. Thanks again.' Noir struts away down the street to continue liberating people from the Detroit clink. |

Waving her hands towards the crowd Marietta gains their attention. "Everyone, gather around!" Turning towards her assistant, RourkeyRourke, she holds out her hands for the final briefcase. He shakes his head no, making a face. Scrunching up her nose, Marietta leaps foward and yanks the briefcase (after a small tug of war) from Rourkey's clenched and strong hands. Shooting him a dirty look and shaking her head she turns back towards the gathered mafiosi with a grin. "19:00. My, how time has flown. If it is 19:00 that means that it is now time for the final one million dollar drawing! Everyone who has been criming for the past half an hour has been entered into this batch, and let me tell you there are quite a few people! Every round we watched as the number of entrant increased, and we couldn't be more pleased!" "Anyway, enough of my rambling. You all want to know who won the money!" A loud cheer erupts from the people. Marietta smiles and turns towards Aurora and squares her shoulders. "Aurora," she says in a low, measured voice, "The final name if you would please." With a smile back towards the Godmother, Aurora closes her eyes and draws the final name from Rourkey's crazy hat. Passing it over to Marietta she takes it and reads it with a smile. "Alright ladies and gentlemen. The final moment. The countdown is over. The official winner of the last million dollar count down for the day is Riddle562! Everyone extend your congratulations and applause!" And the peasants rejoice. Yay. "Unfortunately that was the last drawing for the evening. There is still one more hour left of the free jailing in Detroit, so I urge you all to stick around! The jails thrown by me and my associates will end at 20:00 officially. If you care to stick around longer than that, feel free!" "And, if you had fun today, I urge you all to take part in our other contests. There are millions of dollars worth of prizes involved. Get your entries in before the contests end at 00:00 on May 1st!" "Also, want another round of jailing? Motor City Jail Birds will be making a repeat performance on May 1st, from 15:00 to 20:00. We will do another four million-dollar-drawings. Make sure you show up!" "Thank you!" |

Thank you to all who have participated in any of the contests so far. I've read some interesting situational stories, all of which have brightened my day a little. I'm glad to see people of all cities taking part in Detroit is crazy week! Congratulations to the recipients of the first four million dollars. I look forward to seeing what the results of all these contests brings. |
