Munchkin, New Orleans and Fork Missed Satanta Started by: ThomasRourke on May 03, '09 12:02
You may fool alot of people, Marietta, but not everyone. Anyone who can think for themselves and puts in any effort to do so will see that the only problem that you have with Munchkin's actions is that if you don't condemn them then it could happen to you one day. You are only selfishly protecting your own power. But that's not the problem. That's just natural. What is disgusting is that you do it under the guise of trying teach all us little people about the burdens of being a great leader by defending one of the worst examples of leadership I've ever seen. I just hope that other potential leaders will see this as the selfish act it is and not actually take your words as a lesson.

If you mean me. To tell you the truth, i won't judge you. i never been godfather in my life and i don't know how it feels. I am just a small time associate. You may be right or maybe wrong. i not sure. but if i ever become a godfather, maybe then i will understand more about it and then judge you.
Report Post Tip
Ahhh, Marietta, inventing a bloodline's history now. Congrats, new lows. I have no idea what bloodline you're even talking about.

Stay classy.

Shall we compare that to the reasoning behind taking out that crewleader to the reasoning behind taking out Persian, and pass judgement?

Stop and think for a moment: would you like me to answer that? Considering I wasn't involved in that either, I could do my best to apply logic behind it, but I think the reasons for that have been cleared up behind the two parties involved. Am I mistaken? Or are you just looking to stir things up to make sure that Persian doesn't fade into anonymity too quickly?

Without meaning any disrespect, but merely observing, it does strike me as odd that the Godfather of Detroit is out here fielding issues related to my own Godfather's cities.

The second this statement was made by Evocati "And my argument is that Jimmy's friends from NY and Detroit should of respected him enough to mind their own business", it became my business to be here on the Streets. Another example of someone who doesn't know the whole story, but wants to jump on the bandwagon against my city. I'm alright with that. I'll defend everyone if I have to.

I'm not stupid enough to think I'll live forever. Hell, if no one is able to end my life someday I'll probably retire because that is not my plan. My only plan is to enjoy life while I am here. Someone not condoning my actions? It happens every day. I live that reality every day. My only problem with Munchkin is that I did not condone her actions. I don't condone a majority of the leader's actions around here, including some made by my fellow Godfathers (no offense, men!). The difference with me is that I don't condone actions that interfere with my business. I'm not out to "fool" anyone. I'm here to run my city and do my best by every other Crime city out there. I wouldn't put in one iota of effort into my life here if I didn't wholeheartedly believe in that.

Leaders can listen to me and they cannot. You feel this man is a bad leader. I don't. And I certainly have better things to do all day than to crucify another Godfather for how he runs his city. In the end, none of it matters. When the reaper comes to call for me, I want to reflect back upon my life and think that I did a little bit of good by my family and associates. I don't want to see my time here as wasted by bitterly arguing over how someone else conducted their business.

Ahhh, Marietta, inventing a bloodline's history now. Congrats, new lows. I have no idea what bloodline you're even talking about.

Sorry if I was mistaken. You just seemed to remind me of someone I saw in the coffeshops the other day, making comments about how he was invincible and couldn't be killed only to be shot moments later. My apologies.

Anyone else?
Report Post Tip
Ahem, I should have said "My only problem with Munchkin wasn't that I did not condone her actions." There we go. Makes more sense now.

Pats herself on the back.
Report Post Tip
Any chance you could take that retirement sooner then later?

I wasn't commenting on you being here, or defending yourself or your city. That is expected, of course. I was merely referring to your staunch defense of Godfather Jimmy, rather than him doing it himself. Nothing more, nothing less. I'm not on any bandwagon against your city. I can understand, however, that you are in defense mode, but my comments were not made agressively.
Report Post Tip
Fade to anonymity? I couldn't care about that. What I care about is the moment it hits "mini-meet week", CLs start to drop like flies, and all of a sudden a member proing a rogue means that the CL has to die. Interesting coincidence, but then we should grow to expect this because it happened last time as well. Hours and hours of people's work shot into nothing because a few people have a bit to drink and it's a right giggle to go shooting people who take this with a measure of seriousness.
Report Post Tip
Marietta, some coffee-shop persona is not who I am. I am a thug who happened to break into a lawyer's office and see numerous important original documents regarding the Munchkin estate and the final moments of her life, and became incensed at the absolutely unbecoming end of a noble life and the slandering of a good name which is going on at present.
Report Post Tip
Not quite feeling up to retiring just this moment, so sorry James. Hang in there, though, your day of celebration will happen someday.

My apologies, Manson. I did come off rather harsh towards you. As you said, I am in attack and defense mode, so merely grouped your statement in with the others. Once more, I am sorry for slanting my response towards you like that.

Zenith, a member proing doesn't mean a Crew Leader needs to die. Heavens no. A Right Hand, however, does. Though he wasn't at that moment in time wearing his slanty suit, he has on many occasions represented your family. How many times in the past have we seen entire families killed for the escapades of the Right Hand? That is why that position should be picked carefully, and bestowed with honor. If it's given to just anyone who sneezes at the right moment, it could spell doom for your entire family.

Secondly, clearing up the fact that there has not been any alcohol consumed by anyone within the past twenty-four hours. I'll gladly submit any one of us to a bloodworks test if that is what you wish. All you'll find in the contents of our stomachs are cheesesteaks and cookies. You can not use that as a viable defense, as it simply isn't true. Perhaps you all wish we were blindly shooting under the influence, rather than accept the fact that some of the people who have died may have actually done something wrong. Marietta shrugs.

Im_On_A_Boat.... Stay out of my office.

Goes out to find a better locksmith.

No one's name was slandered initially, from what I can see Boat. Godfather Thomas graced the public with a speech about the actions that were taken over the past evening. Everyone else tried to slant it into something else, and from there the mud slinging began. It's not something I'm proud of resorting to, but alas, there we are.
Report Post Tip
No one's name was slandered initially? Godfather Thomas spewed lies and untruths to the public and now you want to try to say he didn't start it?

Stay classy.
Report Post Tip
Godfather Thomas didn't spew lies. He told the reasons for his involvement. Unless you're talking about the part where Godfather Jimmy graciously allowed her to live for so long. I know quite a few people that wanted Munchkin and co. dead. How is that a lie?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Jesus stop me someone, please, before I keel over with laughter.

Did I actually hear Marietta use the terms 'Rogue' and 'hunted by all' in the same sentence. Sorry Marietta but crawl back to your usual HIDEY HOLE under whatever rock you choose to cower under. Can this be the same Marietta who came out here only a few weeks ago ranting and raving about how we should all completely disassociate ourselves with rogues and how she will kill them all first chance she gets. Then only a few days ago turn a blind eye on another rogue who was wiping our streets clean of members from EVERY family.

The usual double standard rules apply once again I see. And no, Im not bitter nor am I in any way angry about events earlier today. I am simply not afraid any more to come and say it all how it is. Stop colouring this crap up and calling it intelligent speech Marietta. Youre a hopeless hapless tryant who DEMANDS respect and obedience like you were the matron in some wacked out orphanage. Climb down from your high horse dear and smell the coffee. No, you are not omnipotent, you are not a God, and in reality you havent a clue.
Report Post Tip
Everything you just said proves to me the following things:

One, you cannot listen. I already stated I know I'm not a God, omnipotent, invincible, etc. I'm a human. I realize this. I bleed like the rest of you. Where the fuck are you coming up with this stuff?

Two, you are ignorant. You are involving yourself in a matter that does not involve you.

Three, you are forgetful. We had this discussion in the coffee shops merely days ago. Rogues that are products of a war are different than rogues that are doing so for their own ego's sake. I said as much to you. I don't think my stance has changed. Shadow was a rogue this morning who set up as a result of war. It did not involve me so I did not hunt her. Sal_Giaquinto was a leader who had it all and threw it all away just to try and claim a city that wasn't his and turn his back on the principles of this thing of ours. Him I assisted in the take down of. How is that off the mark with what I told your alter ego in private last week? All in all:

Then only a few days ago turn a blind eye on another rogue who was wiping our streets clean of members from EVERY family.

No idea what you are saying there. I never saw any rogues shooting at my family, or families that weren't involved in the war, so perhaps you should just disappear for a few months and then send your son back to make another profound speech that... really doesn't make much sense.

Four, why your bloodline has never resulted in much. Your own great-great-great something couldn't even stop his own Captain from roguing against the strongest leader at the time, yet generations later you feel it appropriate to stand up and try to be one of the dissenters. Well done.

I don't cower under rocks. I'm out here speaking my mind against several people here. That's more than your father's former Boss can claimed to have done in his life as "Godfather" before his "noble retirement". Though I suppose that's harsh, as I respected him, and it's really you I'm trying to burn here. Oh well.
Report Post Tip
As someone who IS omnipotent, I would like to completely discard the idea that there can be such a thing as "double standards". The concept of "double standards" necessarily implies that there is a blanket procedural rule that should apply in every situation. Of course, this is nonsense and anyone who adheres to it is a fool.

Each situation is unique and calls for a unique response. That is why we have leaders. They are the ones who analyze situations and decide how to react to them. If we handled every situation the same, we would not need a hierarchy telling us what to do. We could live according to a set of laws. You know, sort of like a democracy...which this isn't.

Until such a time comes when uniformity can be administered as a response to situations which are, at all times and without fail, identical in circumstances, there will be different responsive actions to similar occurrences. "Double standards" is a naive assumption.

Disrespecting GodFathers.... Whats this world coming to, how arn't they dead.
Report Post Tip
Well Marietta, I dont want to get into a mug slinging contest with you because, well, I dont. But I will say a few things.

Number one, Dona Munchkin was one of the finest leaders my ancestry has had the privilege to work with. The very fact that her entire family was willing to lay down their lives for her with no questions asked shows the loyalty and support she had from them all. Maybe her ways and means were not satisfactory to you or your colleagues but they were very satisfactory to her family. She treated them all with respect and loyalty from the beginning to the end and she tried her best to instill the same values into them along the way.

Secondly, my ancestry has been through various different leaders along the way and some have had a chance of being bold also. While I agree that none of them ever got to your esteemed position as Godperson of a city, each in turn tried to live his life with the utmost of respect and honour, from the first time my great great great (you get the picture) grandfather graced these shores right up to the moment Gigantes body was carted away to his burial place.

Yes, I am a little disappointed with the way the current leadership run things but its their call. Will it cause a mass exodus from our shores? I wouldnt think so. People love this way of life and people will put up with all sorts of crap to remain here. Its really unfortunate that our lives here depends on the whim of 3 egotistical beings who at any moment for any reason can decide the fate of a whole family. But yet again, this is not the first time in our society that this occurred and I doubt very much it will be the last.

The decision now rests with myself as to whether I want to continue with the work my father pursued. You say my lineage never amounted to anything but I am very proud of all my father achieved. Im proud that he fought to the end instead of bailing even though he had many chances to do so (some from the very familys that were attacking). But he decided to hold true to his values and go out in a pine box and he did this gladly. Im proud of the 36 hours he waited and fought by Jimmys side only a few days ago and Im proud of how he conducted himself in all his affairs on our fair shores. So to you, it might not have amounted to a hill of beans, but to him, it was his life and thats exactly what it cost him.
Report Post Tip
Kev, she was to me in my opinion the worst leader we have ever had in "This thing of ours"

You say you lay down your lives for her and she would gladly do the same. I can't say we did the same in the War we had not to long ago. My Father himself was a Gigante and lived damn proud to fight to the end. Anyone can do the same when you have loyalty.

Now that you see the tables are turned with that foul mouth little Munchkin, she is dead.

But let me tell you this.

You say she was the Best crew leader. Good crew leaders show there fammilys how to act. Respect, Omerta.

You havent done both which shows that she didn't do her part. On the other side, she was Hot Headed, showing here members to Disrespect every single GodFather we have in America. With out knowing what they are talking about.

Yeah as much as I know she can Rot and Die.
