So I learned about this game through a friend and thought it might be quite fun to play, however I didnt think it would be this hard to get in to. I understand what to do at times but half the times im wondering what the hell too do next. I understand that at the moment I have to do petty crimes and sell drugs but have absolutely no clue what to do after that and what the main point of the game is. The game really does 

sound good from how my friend describes it, just looking for some tips i guess? Thanks

You chose a really tough time to join the game, it's a massive game wide war right now. Once you are stronger and have a gun you can shoot and kill other people or if you don't have a strong gun you can shoot people you trust and protect 'pro' them to make sure they live longer. It takes time to get there but once the dust settles I am sure you will find a good family to teach you the way of the game. Right now isn't the time sadly. Just be patient.

The Help Forum here is a great place to start as you learn about the game. There's several aspect but the first is doing some jobs and getting yourself a crew. Unfortunately you've come at a really bad time and a lot of crews are in flux because there's been a huge war and literally almost every city has been wiped clean.

This pertains to the biggest aspect, ROLEPLAY! It's a huge part of our world and it helps you get to know your fellow players. 

I personally would start with petties and building up your achievements which you can find under the News & Info>achievements You do yea so many petties and get rewarded. As you get a little bit older you earn your gun and you can start training it under Actions>shooting range
