Attn: New Residents of Doo Doo Land Started by: DooDooBrown on Aug 22, '15 03:27

Hello Mr. DublinerFM. First off, may I start off by saying thank you for your sentiments regarding my father's passing.

In regards to these traditional values that SammyGato invented for the mafia, I am unfamiliar with them. Last I checked a Mafioso's loyalty is to his family, not the city their HQ happens to reside in. Or used to reside in.  We are Mafia crime families, not professional sports teams. Sammy claims to have felt personally disrespected by the name Doo Doo Land, because (from what I can understand) he once had an ancestor that worked in the city of LA? At least that was the reason he continually gave for wanting to see me dead.  But despite his attempts at rallying the troops to support this cause and claiming that Doo Doo Land was somehow a 'slap in the face' to everybody else as well, I think it was a bit of a stretch. It was transparent enough that others did too.

If DooDooBrown was interested in doing things the 'traditional' way, paying taxes, submitting redundant shot reports, and pretending to laugh at loud at corny remarks made in the crew chatting quarters, he would have joined one of the other crews in another city. He went to LA for the opportunity to do something different. He worked within the parameters, imposed the power he had onto others, and exercised force when examples needed to be made. Those were his traditional mafia values. Duplicity gave him the opportunity to do that and I thank her on my father's behalf. This is in no way an obligatory thank you, it's a most sincere thank you for offering my father an opportunity to lead a fast-paced exciting life.

DooDooBrown pauses

Excuse me for one moment DublinerFM....

DooDooBrown turns to queenie

queenie, "obligatory" means when you do something because you feel you have to.

DooDooBrown turns back to DublinerFM

Sorry about that.  Anyways, my father was proud of his name. He wanted to incorporate it into the LA experiment, to leave his mark. I don't understand why this is such a foreign concept.

But since we are pretending that all our undying loyalties are deep rooted in whatever cities our forefathers worked in previously, you should know that one of my ancestors hailed from Los Angeles as well, long before it was known as Doo Doo Land. He held a position in its upper structure and was beloved by many, dare I say probably more beloved than whatever bore that spawned the recent incarnation of SammyGato. So beloved in fact, a statue was recently erected in his honor by a well-respected leader from your city.

I see no statues commemorating SammyGato's dead relatives anywhere in Doo Doo Land.

However while I don't think anyone would expect you do be angry about the death of DooDooBrown, one might think you would take issue with the fact that a rule set forth by your leader was violated.  Maybe not though.  I would be, but I think our concept of "traditional values" are slightly different.

May I say, It is nice to actually be able to debate something and not feel like I am being berated lol.

Moving on...

As far as Doo Doo Land being a slap in the face, I can see where Mr. Gato is coming from. I think Gato sees this as a 100% RP game, which most may think that's what it should be. That being said, the respect level for someone who busts into one of the largest cities in the USA and makes it's nickname Doo Doo Land would seem pretty immature and almost as Mockery for the rest of the true mafiosos around the country. I do not believe Mr. Gato is singleing you out purposely. I just think he is merely trying to uphold the good name and reputation of the Mafia by having one of it's greatest cities reduced to Doo Doo Land...

Regarding whether one's loyalty should lie with his/her immediate family or his/her city, well that's a whole other debate. I was once told that a mobster's loyalty should lie with the Godfather of the CITY even moreso than their immediate Don... Whether or not views have changed since I heard this, well that can easily be answered by one of the higher ups should they choose to clear it up...

I don't question your drive and your determination to be great in LA... Just the way you advertise and go about your ruling in LA... Plastering Doo Doo Land on the walls of every building and every billboard that stands off the interstates seems like a disgrace, honestly. And I for one would NEVER want to be a part of a city that APPEARS to take itself as a joke... I want to be a part of a city that, as a whole, is proud of itself. One that my Godfather/Mother is even more proud of. I want to work under someone who takes their position seriously and professionally.

However while I don't think anyone would expect you do be angry about the death of DooDooBrown, one might think you would take issue with the fact that a rule set forth by your leader was violated.

Well sure, I am not ANGRY over your father's death because I am not particularly upset that his views failed to succeed in LA. Granted that I am not holding any stake in LA being as though I am not calling it my Home City. But I'd like to see it succeed regardless. And, I apologize, but I do not see it succeeding with your father's beliefs. But hey, if you manage to implement his beliefs and they work out, you can tell me that you told me so and I wont defend myself. Prove me wrong.

And of course I AM upset that my Don's rules were not followed. Heck, I am mad that the rules weren't followed, period; no matter if they were Don Duplicity's rules or SammyGato's rules. A rule is a rule. Now, as I already said in my last post, I do believe that the person who murdered your father should be brought forth to stand "trial" for his actions... So I am not sure if you're trying to stir something up between my Don and I there or what. Because I blatantly stated that I wanted the person responsible to pay for their actions... If you don't believe me, I would be more than willing to go back and copy and paste it for you... It's up to you.

Dubliner leans forward a bit and opens his hands to a sort of bow acknowledging Mr. Brown's opportunity to speak. He was very confused by Mr. Brown's last statement however and was expecting some sort of clarification. Mr. Brown had made it seem like Dubliner didn't care about his own Don's rules and was offended that Doo Doo from 'Doo Doo Land' or 'Brown Streak Nation' would even suggest such a thing...

Report Post Tip

And, I apologize, but I do not see it succeeding with your father's beliefs.

What beliefs are you referring to?

Report Post Tip

Referring to LA as Doo Doo Land, for a start...? lol

Also threatening to kill off members of LA for not having a tag "Associate of Doo Doo Land" in their profile when you really hold no leadership weight in the City as it were...?

And for everything else, well, you said you obviously held different ideas of "traditional" beliefs from SammyGato and I, so I guess all of your "traditional" beliefs can be included in that one sentence that you pulled from my post as well...

Report Post Tip
Well, I think Doo Doo Land is actually a pretty snazzy name.
Report Post Tip

So much for no outside interference. Such a pathetic shame.

Report Post Tip

Maybe for a cheap Theme Park in Cleveland...?

Dubliner chuckles to himself.

If you would humor me though, I would like you to explain what you meant by this:

However while I don't think anyone would expect you do be angry about the death of DooDooBrown, one might think you would take issue with the fact that a rule set forth by your leader was violated.  Maybe not though.

Because it certainly seems to me like you're attempting to create a rift... And I would certainly, if that were not your intentions, would like to clear that up for you. If that was what you meant to do, no matter. Just say it so I can be clear.

Dubliner looks at Mr. Brown in his eyes and awaits a response. Either way, he was prepared to take it and move on. He was just interested in closure when his loyalty is questioned...

Report Post Tip
I meant it exactly the way you took it to mean. I guess I was under the impression that you didn't think it was a big deal because that is what you said.
Report Post Tip

...but first, let me quote myself:

Though I do also agree that, whoever the killer is, must also be brought to justice.

That was from when I first chimed in on this conversation... Now, it's your turn. Go on back to my statements and find where I stated that the rules put forth by my Don, Don Duplicity, meant nothing to me. If you can quote where I said that, I'll be happy to put up and shut up.

You see, the problem now is that you're questioning where my loyalty lies. And I am not a man who takes kindly to people questioning my loyalty. You see, Mr. Brown, I am a person who, once I am loyal to something and/or someone, I remain loyal to that thing/person for a LONG time... Loyalty isn't a problem for me... What is a problem TO me, is when someone attempts to put words in my mouth to try and create a rift between my don and I. And, on your end, that's the lowest you can go. To try and create problems between my Don and I shows how you really don't deserve to hold any kind of leadership position seeing as though you can't handle a casual conversation between two people. You had to go and try something stupid like that...

Dubliner straightens his vest and walks closer towards Mr. Brown.

And by trying to cause a rift there, I believe you've effectively shown how unprofessional and immature you are. So once again, I extend the offer to you: Go back and quote where I said Duplicity's rules mean nothing to me. And if you successfully do so, I will put up and shut up.

As a goodbye note: Quit trying to cause problems between players. Especially one's Don and them.

Dubliner pats Mr. Brown on the top of his head and winks waiting for Mr. Brown to quote Dubliner when he supposedly said he didn't care about his Don's rules...

Report Post Tip

As a goodbye note: Quit trying to cause problems between players. Especially one's Don and them.

Players? Are you and your Don in an acting scene? Maybe meeting for a friendly game of squash some where? What are these 'players'?

A button man surely should know better.

Dubliner looks down at his watch... 2:41 a.m.

Excuse me... 'People'. I beg your pardon, Falcon. My sleep deprivation led me to use the wrong word.

Dubliner smiles and gives a small bow to Falcon as a thanks for catching Dub's slip of the tongue.

Is back peddling another value you share with SammyGato?

Relax DublinerFM. I'm just messing with you. I don't believe anything that I said would truly cause any rift between you and your Don. Imagine your horrendous "OOCitis" as it is referred to as throughout this conversation is embarrassment enough for her. I'm not going to pile on.

I'm assuming you are new to This Thing of Ours, as a lot of your logic makes no sense. If I can give you some advice, you shouldn't make a mark of yourself by engaging in arguments with civilians in the streets.

On the other hand, I shouldn't be out here doing what I'm doing either. To your point, it's unprofessional and immature. That's not the standard my father would have liked to see set in Doo Doo Land. I will see myself out.
Report Post Tip

Back pedalling? My dear sir, this conversation has only been going on for about 2 minutes and you've yet to clarify or prove that words you put into my mouth are true...? I am just hoping you can find something to help bolster your viewpoints more.

And if she is that embarrassed then I take whatever punishment that may be thrown my way without argument.

But yes, I will agree with you that this is something that should've been handled in a back room between just us two. However, I must make it clear to you that when you question my loyalty, I take it very personally...

But also seeing as though you pulled out of that remark since you had no quote of mine to back it up, It's nice to see you practically admit defeat... As far as arguing with civilians, aren't we all civilians? And I see it more as a healthy debate. Guess it's all in the eyes of the beholder, though.

Feel free to contact me personally so I may be able to clear up any of my logic that may have gone over your head though, I would love to have my viewpoints be clear to you so you may understand my side better.

Cheers mate!

I'm glad to see the death of this poor man's LudariusCane.

I see points on both sides but I really think the wrong question is being asked. Everyone wants to condem Mr.Gato for his actions but what seems funny to me is the fact that there are hits being taken out in these men that no normal resident or fresh off the boat citizen should ever have. Mr.Browns hit was for 10 million dollars? Then Afro's hit was 10 million dollars? A 20 million dollar investment between the two seems odd to me. What sort of new citizen had 20 million laying around?

Seems like someone may have the financial backing of a even more powerful individual.

Hello SammyGato

You said "Admire the concept, not really a fan of the execution. I would say it ridicules the way I was raised and introduced to this world. "

Would you have objected to a tag boasting your name name in such a scenario?

I wasn't a fan of the execution, either, or the one that followed it.

Will you join me in condemning, in no uncertain terms, the disgusting murder of DooDooBrown?  Furthermore, will you commit $3M towards a reward for information leading us to the trigger man and accomplices in this wanton act?

What the hell has happened to this world?

Oh it's gone down the toilet I see. My bad continue everyone with your amazing vocabulary and well spoken manner. I'm going to get some pizza and listen. Afterwards I may grab a cup of coffee from the local shop before having a night of watching jaguar play table tennis in a tank top.

Carry on.

She smirks as she hears Dick Wad complain like an old man.

I thought you were into cougars -R-ichard-W-ad ?
Report Post Tip
Well my dear, I am getting old sadly, as is everyone else. It's a sad thing time is, Dick generally becomes less excited as time takes it's toll. Shriveled, short, hanging head low due to depression, endurance lacking and really just a disappointment overall I have become. What's a Dick to do? Stand up? Just find a hole to limp into? The answer has yet to be written but still to be seen. I can tell you this though, Dick knows what to do with his experience, and that doesn't involve Dick covered in Doo Doo. I know better.
