Well, it's not like there was no warning or anything. What did you think would happened after Squishy sent out the mass mail and you kept clicking and not voting?

Although it does make me think if users should have the choice to toggle being able to see the +'s or hide them. I've heard a few people say that they clicked just to get rid of the +'s. So even though I don't condone it, I do imagine myself getting annoyed at the +'s if I'm not interested in voting.

Me? I love seeing the +'s because it reminds me to vote but perhaps users should have the choice to not feel pressured by something that actually does kind of look annoying if you don't want to click them.

We had to put up with two +s that just said "Coming soon" for about 2 years before they were turned into voting +s... You didn't see or hear anyone else complaining before that. That's hardly a valid excuse tbh.

I understand that all who love the game want to play it to be best of their ability but if somebody's not interested in doing something that takes them to an external site, they may be just mediocre players, but do they really not deserve to be playing?

The  +'s on my screen are highly intrusive and I feel they impede my ability to play and enjoy this game to the maximum level.

Identity, it's not always about who starts the topic. It's about you can do with the topic.

I brought up a point that several people are in a friendly manner debating with me. We all probably already forgot who started this topic.

But when you've the ability to vote then I think you should, if not

only for having a free game to play (which is rare these days).



MR is one of the few games I know that does not give the paying player and advantage over the non paying player.



And I think something is to be said for that. Voting is important for

the game so I still believe that people should have a good reason not

to vote and "not interested" is not really a good reason in my book.

Whilst I've voted for months, I disagree with that. It's the prerogative of the player, they don't need a good reason not to vote. Not interested is more than sufficient.

On a related note, having the voting options somewhere more subtle would be better as well. I understand it's there to get the numbers as high as possible, but it can be a pain if you're in work and on a re-sized browser.

Still, it's no big deal.

What people need is an option to turn off voting. Some people just don't want to do it. I can understand why. As I say, I do it, but it's a pain in the arse really....some of the "captcha" images are terrible.
