It is apparent some current leaders are rogues. What is Porkchop concerned about?

As echoed by many others of course they do. They shouldn't but they do. The problem we face is because our community is so small, odds are you're likely to doss around with the same people. Your fathers were friends with their fathers, their grandfathers were friends with your grandfathers and so on. People don't like to break the cycle, they'd rather stick to what they know and who they know, burying themselves within these little cliques.

The problem is, a lot of the time we find people are exactly like their forefathers and so therefore can be expected to act how their parents acted, and how their grandparents acted etc. With this being the case 99% of the time, the only way to judge people is by what their bloodline is. That way we can get an idea of what to expect from them. For instance, if I were to tell Cin that thugs deserve no respect, she would most likely go off on a rant about how they do. Not that I'm calling her out, but I'm just acknowledging that their are principles ground into bloodlines that aren't going to change.

I know this topic was originally brought up due to the Silk Glove situation, they don't wish to see the same faces authed etc. My issue with that is the community is so small were always going to see the same faces up there, then along with that we will see a few new faces too. What do we expect? A whole leadership change on every cycle that introduces completely new leaders? No, we need experienced and new leaders working together, that way the experienced ones can help out those newer to that side of things.

Personally I have no problem with seeing the same faces being authed over and over, at least you know what they're capable of. As for bloodlines being important, yes, they are. Particularly if you want to know what to expect from a person.
