It would seem that my bloodline tends to pay for the mistakes of those who I associate myself with, never really getting the chance to see the big picture until it's much too late. This situation was not ideal for my father, or anyone else that worked along side him. And from my limited knowledge on it, it would seem that those responsible in it feel that their actions were justified and they made the right decision for the future of their families. Regardless of how we feel about it, what's done is done. Arguing the "Why" is only beneficial if both sides are willing to listen. But everyone here is too busy pointing fingers and blaming eachother to the point that it's only going to cause the exact same outcome later on. Which, I suppose, is the life of a mobster. Jay I would hardly call the actions justified. If we were playing cowboys and Indians, I would agree. What I see is cowards who cannot mind their own family business,  lack of business, a blatant disregard for "Omerta"  and family above all means jack shit.

Cleanup, I'm not saying it was justified or not. My point is that regardless of the reasons for it, the deed was done. Talking it out would be the best course of action but with emotions being what they are that will probably never happen properly and the truth will get buried in a sea of bullshit and more bloodshed. But if what you say is true, talking about it now would mean nothing anyway while they are still in power, as there is no chance of change being made. You can't expect someone to stop doing something that works for them if nobody can stop them from doing it. I personally don't have all the details, besides the bits and pieces that peopler were throwing at eachother in this thread. I'm just going to keep pushing and move on. Exactly how it is suppose to be. Unfortunately a few got to know who is who and will go to any length to find out.  The bigger problem is those in power will have it no other way.  They got to be in power. They hold grudges among each other and all else are cash cows for them. More times then not, a first time auths are nothing but planned fish bait. For some of them, I can't say that I don't blame them. Even if the actions are justified, not every death was. And it's very possible your right, Absolute power corrupts absolutely. But I'm not the type to judge without evidence, but from what I see it looks like nobody involved had clean hands. I just hope that if a situation like this comes across again, it might be handled differently.

Payback from me is usually quite planned out and when carried out correctly, won't even trace back to me. That's probably a good reason why I don't get angry at things like this anymore. The clinking sound was a bit off-putting to the people having their conversations, an entire city fell and there were many somber conversations and discussions being had, but that was not what this sound pertained to, no, it was a rather small ball, cylindrical in its shape, it did not know of the war nor did it understand what had transpired that fateful afternoon; all it knew was that it had been rolled down some steps and was making its way to the inevitable destination.

Cracking open, smoke filled the entire area and once it had died down enough for shapes to again be seen, there stood Argyle with nothing on but a dashing smile affixed upon his face. Finally, after a couple more moments of awkward waiting, enough of the concoction had made its way out of the room and people could again begin to breathe the air with ease once more; perhaps a smoke grenade was a bit much, but the military should have kept their old cache locked up tighter.
