I can see where this is going

A few short years ago I encountered troubled and sad times. A very dear friend of mine said to me, "I know you don't want to hear this now but I am going to tell you anyway." She went on to say, "I promise you this my friend. How you are feeling now, you will not feel this way this time next year." She was right. I did not want to hear it. A year passed and she was right again.

I lost her almost two years ago to cancer. I was by her side when she took her last breath.  I will always reflected on her kind words of wisdom.

Be professional, be polite, but have a plan to kill everyone you meet.
