(OOC:One day an at home wife is alone and the doorbell rings. She opens the door to a guy, "Hey is Tony home?" The wife replies, "No he went to the store, he'll be back shortly, you can wait if you'd like" After a few moments the friend says "You know Sara, i bet you have just amazing boobs, I'll give you 100 dollars to let me see just one!" Sara thinks it, pulls her boob out real quick and grabs the cash. After a few more moments he says "You know Sara, you boob was just so nice, I GOTTA see the other one. I have another 100 dollars" After a few moments Sara pulls out her other boob and takes the money. Tony looks at his watch "My look at the time, I gotta go"

Shortly after Tony comes home he asks Sara "Did my friend come by with the 200 dollars he owed me?")

Well Chaotic, the general idea was to give you 24 hours sometime within the week after the signups had closed, but alas, some people have been giddy and have already performed their act, so I suppose it couldn't hurt for you to do the same.

Bruiser pats Croccifixio on the shoulder to interrupt him there..  Chaotic, the idea of the contest is to have the performance at the grand opening of Crocc's new business in New Orleans.  Any prior acts performed on this corner are not valid.  Funny but not valid for this contest.  The leaders of New Orleans will do a random drawing of everyone's order.  We will make that order public to everyone at which time everyone will have 24 hours from the time the act in front of you has performed.  Once all acts are completed the leaders of New Orleans, their right hands and Crocc. for a total of 7 judges will meet and pick the best acts.  I just want to stress by the word act we mean an entire stand up routine (OOC: Role play from the time you walk on the stage to the time you walk off)

Right now, there is a daily running comp. in Crocc's Comedy Club, best daily joke is receiving a cash prize.

I was just like to apologize if I have upset this apple cart in any way. My one liners weren't meant to be part of the contest and neither was my stand up routine. I never signed up, I just came out to help support the event. I am from New Orleans and don't expect to win. Lets face it, had my club routine waited 43 more minutes, it would have been worthless. So once again, my apologies for doing whatever the hell I wanted however the hell I wanted to do it. Really I was just trying to have some harmless fun.

Alright, entries are now closed. Give us a few days and we'll mail all those who have entered with dates in which to perform their act, so get your stuff ready guys.

Alfonse performed his act on time and on schedule at Croccifixio's Comedy hot-spot along with a few others that followed through. He was told there were prizes to be awarded and judges standing by. It was hard times in the streets of Chicago and money was tight. Derellict associates not paying dues and an all around stagnant return on investments left him slaving to the grind to make a buck..

 So Al flew back to New Orleans to knock on some doors and see when an announcement would be made?

Ava_Marie performed her act, on time as requested by Croccifio.  Looking at the calendar, she notices that over 2 weeks have passed since the entry closed.  She looks at all the rules, yes she followed them all.  She was also told by others that she had performed well.  She decides to contact Mr. Croccifixio.  She politely asks the outcome. He responds, "Yes, I will look at it and get back to you as soon as I round up the other judges."  Ava is very puzzled.  They had a contest and never even bothered to observe the performers?

Ava put alot of work and effort in that contest, and now wonders exactly what is going on here. 

Dont worry Ava, I've finally been able to contact the judges (they all left in a hurry, and I havent seen them since the latest war) so ill be announcing the winners within the next couple of days. Everyone will be notified about the winner and ill come here to the streets to let the public know too.

Croccifixio smiles at Ava and thanks her for her patience.

Kip looks and and laughs inwardly at the exchanges that hav taken place. " Count me in, i am up to give you a few one liners" With that kip steps back nto the crowd and awaits instructions.

There's an old saying in show business: "Hurry up and wait".

Then again the year is 1930-something so maybe it's a new saying

I like the idea. Should bring some good business to your city. I will, if I have the time, drop by and see how its going. I like to hear a good joke now and then. Doesn't everyone?

Croccifixio steps back onto the streets with a wide grin on his face. He walks up to everyone gathered around discussing the contest and says:
