Ingame Shot Report Option Started by: Doug-Glatt on Jun 07, '17 17:42

With all this game has evolved it seems there should be some sort of ingame shot report system setup so the crew leaders can use that. Also it seems there should be less use of a Google document/Google form for shot reports, there is no assurance that that shot reports being mandatory ingame isn't being used to track bloodlines in game as well. Many leaders simply say do this Google doc shot report or you die which IMO is something that should be bannable unless we can implement a ingame shot report alternative that cannot be used to track bloodlines

TLDR ingame feature for character only shot reports to further prevent bloodlining

Report Post Tips: 1 / Total: $20,000 Tip

I smell a salty ship mate, hell bent on banning his way to glory.

Could you clarify how these are being used to track bloodlines?

Report Post Tip

If you smell salt must be head stuck in taint syndrome, this suggestion comes from a place where a game should be played within the game and not require people to visit third party sites to be allowed to live.

Report Post Tip

Still waiting on this clarification on tracking bloodlines btw, which appears to be the whole point of your cunt cry.

You are salty, trying to encourage admins to ban people who ask to complete shot reports. The stench of desperation is strong on you.

Report Post Tip

The whole point which seems to be going over your moronic fucking head is that anything regarding the game should be kept in the game. I'm encouraging the use of the game over a third party site that is mandatory now if you'd kindly take your mongolithic self else where that'd be great

Report Post Tip

Ohhh, so it's not tracking bloodlines anymore then? Thought as much.

I guess we had better get rid of the inactive lists too. Pesky third party sites, how dare we use them for convenience!

Report Post Tip

Any use of a third party site should be integrated into the game to prevent users from having to go to something that gathers god knows what kind of data on them

Report Post Tip

Amount of wacks, amount of bg wacks/wounds etc Seems pretty straight forward what sort of data is being collected there.

Unless you mean google's spying on us?

:o

Report Post Tip

Wow, this escalated quickly.

What I think Doug-Glatt is attempting to say, DanGleeballs by "bloodlining" and the "tracking" of, is that many people put their personal E-Mails/Phone Numbers into Shot Reports to get access to IA Lists.

Solution! Don't use your personal e-mail, create a new e-mail for every account and for phone number? There's plenty of smart phone applications that allow you to use a separate number to mask your personal one.

Solution two, get your own locals and put together your own IA List so you don't have to submit jack shit besides a shot report. Which by numbers themselves, by the way, won't lead you to one lineage or another.

Can we all be friends now?

Report Post Tip

Oh! I left out a crucial tid bit!

Tracking has been accomplished previously by opening old Shot Reports/Lists of users who had access to old IA Lists. By looking at the e-mails previously used, they're able to tie them to the new accounts (who're trying to stay incog) requesting access to the new IA List.

Report Post Tip

If the idea that you are saying is that, no player should be allowed to force or threaten another player to use a out of game service, item, website, then yes I agree.

I have been under the assumption that if a CL said you have to use google doc's to fill out shot reports and if you don't use google doc's I will kill you, that simply saying this is happening to the admins or even other players would be enough to cause intervention.

Report Post Tip

Darkness, no it wouldn't cause intervention. A CL demanding you complete a shot report or will kill you isn't uncommon. Put simply, thats because a CL needs to know how strong, or weak, their family is. Otherwise what is the point of having one if you dont understand how best to utilise your people to help them grow?

What Doug said in the beginning is true, Shot reports, or rather IA Lists, are effective for tracking bloodlines that are daft enough to use the same e-mail for IA access. The shot report itself isn't going to be any clear indicator as to which bloodline a person is from, but the questions within can be.

IA access is however not mandatory, you dont need to ask for access. I'm not hiding my bloodline, but I didnt ask for IA access as ive not got any intention of chasing RIAs.

DanGleeBalls seems to have a stick up his ass thinking that people shouldn't find ways to stop bloodlining happening, I dont get that. Surely as a Right Hand DGB, you'd want to know that your doing everthing in a legit manner? Afterall, its not like there is anything to worry about given there is no real threat to the current regime.

Report Post Tip

I just don't see how bloodlining is relevant to this. So it's not a way of stopping any alleged bloodlining. No stick up my ass, just amusing that people are trying to encourage bans. It's desperate.

Report Post Tip

What all fields should a shot report contain?

Report Post Tip

BTW, I am seeing this as like taxes.  It shows you what you owe, but you can put value in.

Split screen, left side is your previously submitted shot report for comparison purposes  Right side is what you are currently updating.

A box so you can put in a default modifier.  So you put in -50% that means if you have 500 wacks, its only listing 250.

Ability to look at real values and submitted values from any of your previous reports with a click.

And then the fields you guys suggest?

Report Post Tip

Option to include start up answers either yes or no box

Maybe even a drop down to include loyalty but be manually selectable by the player (choose one of 3)

And possibly include any registered IRC usernames a simple yes or no check box

Report Post Tip

And maybe seperate wacks from BG wacks and BG wounds

The big thing I'd like to see is it migrate wherever the character goes so it would save hassle when people setup reporting under the wrong CL

Could even have an option for a CL to report or not report the SR to the GFC or gf of the city/district

Report Post Tip

Maybe even a drop down to include loyalty but be manually selectable by the player (choose one of 3)

I'm not sure anyone would ever answer anything other than in the positive, so, maybe its not worth putting it in since anyone without a postive loyalty would be just lie and say they are.

Report Post Tip

Haha good point

Report Post Tip

Option 1: Are you training your gun? (Basically asks the person if he is gonna be a proer, or a hitter)

Option 2: Clarification on the above. (His gun stats, maxed/unmaxed whatever)

Optional Options - not mandatory?

Optional Option 1: Startup Answers

Optional Option 2: Bodyguard count

Think this is good. Also maybe make option 2 accept numbers only. 0 would be not maxed/proer. Anything above that would be what it is now (+1 +2 ) etc..  and make a comparrison for CL to see from last time and the current submitted time the shift of that number.

Say Bob submitted having a gun of 3 last week. Next week he submitted a gun of 10. The crew leader should have a chart showing that this time around, Bob's gun is +7 since the last time. That way CL's can see who is very dedicated and help for promotions n all that jazz without actually using a spreadsheet to track these differences/shifts.
