| Killing the innocents - Ethics | Started by: Rudy on May 29, '19 09:16 |

He had no idea on whether the evidence shown to him was frauded or not, but surely, it looked genuine.. In itself, this maybe isn't that bad.. Maybe this was wanted for recruitment processes? He shook his head. Even with all well-meant naivety, he couldn't even believe that himself. Rudy had seen the obits in the newspapers. Everyone had. It was widely known that at least Mike, QueenBitshh, Balderas, Watson, zzzz, Fidel, Saehrimnir, ddd and Ppco were totally innocent at the time they were killed in cold blood. Rudy mumbled, thinking Did these people have job opportunities to prove themselves to the different families..? Probably not. Did people reach out to them? Probably not. No investigation, no questions asked, no interaction.. ..Nothing.. Rudy wondered if he should bring this up, he considered the possible consequences of his words and what he felt was the importance of the point.. Ladies and gentlemen, We all know the war that just ended when the brave Blur, who did an incredible amount of damage with very limited possibilities, was killed. In muffled voice, Rudy added Talking more loudly once more, he continued, raising his hands Why? Why? Rudy stopped for a moment.. Wondering whether he should name the amount of damage Blur caused.. He decided not to. It would not make his point stronger. Ladies and Gentlemen, He looked around before he stepped off of the soapbox, hoping to get many reactions.. |

Hi Rudy, its an interesting subject, one that will no doubt split the masses. However i have a strong thought process on this; sometimes necessity is well, necessary. The problem with this is subject is there are two stand points when thinking about it. "in a normal situation" i agree, totally unacceptable. There is no place in this world for that behaviour everyone deserves their shot, there is no honour in killing these people. I would not have a merciful outlook for anyone that does this, in a "normal" situation. However, your speech comes after a lengthy and drawn out war/takedown, however you want to announce it. When imo, "normal" gets the fuck out dodge town. Logistically as brutal as it sounds, when something is dragged out as long as this last episode is, its generally a practice that happens; a necessity. Sometimes its a case of having to do what we need to, to survive. These people that you have tagged potentially can and a lot of the time assist in pro longing these types of events. That surly has been proven over the last 24-30 hours? I suppose depending on what side of the war you are on, depends how you view this behaviour. If you was on the side trying to stamp out the threat, you'd be with my stand point. no doubt. LIke wise, if i was on the opposite side in this scenario, i might be more inclined to not be happy about it. The gods have imposed a -1 to the shooters totals for such action, so in effect its up to the person to understand that and would be willing to take the shot regardless; necessity! |

I was taken aback by the situation to be honest. It was so sad the whole of our world quakes because of a single wiseguy, this is a wake up call to all calling the shots. What would have happened if Jerry and co. didn't meet their end? haha, but to resort to killing innocent soul and term that a necessity shows selfishness, desperation and weakness cos there are there are various ways of nabbing those proers without committing blatant war crime. No matter what side of the coin you are, be it those that want the war to end or those just recovering from the loss of a father or relative, going for an innocent soul is out of it. They are innocent because you have no proof that they are working with the enemy. My advice is for us all to work harder and device a better plan/ approach to warring rather than being coward going for innocent souls. |

It is astonishing to me that this is the shocking narrative that's come out of everything. We just had a Godfather with his entire city aligned with rogue groups go for world domination. They used every trick and deception they could on friends and enemies alike to try to advance their position. They turned on their fellow cities and broke every promise and truce they had made, but you're here fucking crying about a few spilled Gangsters. Weakness and not heeding warnings is what got the allies in this position. They were warned about this exact scenario happening and those warnings fell on deaf ears. Look at the obituaries for a second. Every one of those that is colored red by the editor either served a pro to Blur or took a BG shot to attempt to find her a target. Tons and tons. This could have dragged on forever had drastic measures not been taken. I don't expect you to understand given your limited capability just speaking much less advanced thought. Please don't be so naive. These people you are crying about had 24 hours to find a family before they could even be touched. They didn't. My question is why? Any general would assume that those people were biding their time to serve Blur. With Whoreable's district dying prior to Jerry's move, there were lots of axis forces coming back to pro for Blur. Don't be stupid. What other alternative did anyone have besides letting this skirmish go on forever, or rolling over and dying? Tons and tons were housed well before they reached 24 hours old and they were left totally alone. I know what you are trying to do here Rudy. You and your shitty group lost yet again. Now you want to try to turn the general population against the victors just to make their lives difficult out of spite. Trust me. I know all about propaganda campaigns. Anyone who believes you is as stupid as you are. For every one Gangster that was killed 10 were housed and saved. |

Xi-Tsen walks along the streets. She mops and mops the bloodstains that have stained the pavement outside her humble dwelling. She stopped to pick a newspaper off the ground…
She heard TheNavigator railing against the man commenting about people dying. Excuse me sir, I do believe that Rudy was commenting specifically on those…unfortunates, the collateral damage shall we say. The ones who hadn’t done anything. I think, and maybe I am very much mistaken as one of those people who don’t have somewhere to call home, that the individuals specified by you
may have done something but those Rudy mention do not have any evidence of serving Blur in any way like that at all. Thereby as Rudy says, innocent. From having watched this happen, I understand why those you mention would have died however his comments are about the brutal scorched earth policy invoked seemingly out of frustration with an inability to kill Blur. Xi-Tsen bent to the ground and took a scrubbing brush to the stains. |

If you think this was a "brutal scorched earth" policy then you haven't really been around here long. This was pretty tame compared to some campaigns in the past. Tim, Lagusa, Niki, Luis, and Leanna are not the monsters people are trying to portray them as. This wasn't out of frustration, want, or bloodlust. This was out of necessity. As I said for every one Gangster killed, 10+ were housed and left totally alone. Again I pose the question. Tons of others found homes before the 24 hour mark. Why didn't those you guys profusely defend now? If the shoe was on the other foot would you take the risks to your own detriment? Would you allow the war to continue longer and your people die in the process because of your uppity morals? I can smell your weakness from here. Blur was trained by Bjorn personally. I expect nothing less than a long drawn and well thought out campaign from warriors of that caliber. They know all the tool and tricks to maximize the damage they can do. I am sure that no one wanted to see innocents die but when faced with the proposition of "Either I kill a few people out of suspicion as opposed to watching my people die", I know which one I'm choosing every time. I'd like to hear from those soft hearted people here. What would you have done. Taking guns didn't work. Trusting people on their merit didn't work. What else was there to do? Maybe you wanted the axis forces to win, who knows? |

After some great replies by Insta and Never, who clearly had very different opinions, yet both substantive points of view, well reasoned from their own perspectives, Rudy could not hold his laughter when he heard TheNavigator. Me and my shitty group..? Rudy turns around and assumes TheNavigator sees ghosts. For your information, I'm just a low-ranked gangster.. My ancestors were, too.. How am I to know what kind of tricks this Godfather, you mean Jerry I assume, performed? If his enemies have fallen for his tricks, then said Godfather played it well, did he not? As a simple gangster, son of a goomba, grandson of an earner, I know nothing about the behind-the-scene-politics. But honestly, only a simple mind could be so naive that they would assume all of the country's leaders act as one happy family. And about those coloured red in the obits section by the editor.. But you say there are ten housed per gangster killed.. Surely.. That must be correct.. What primary school did you attend again? I suppose the government did not support any education in math there.. |

Xi-Tsen lifts her arms and sniffs politely. Weakness? What you are smelling is hard work dear sir. I am only commenting that even the Obituary column refers to them as innocents. I have no axe to grind and having known Rudy's bloodline for some time I don't believe he was any part of your axis of evil. It is maybe this level of suspicion that has people jumping at shadows. |

Rudy now isn't the time to pretend, but I'll leave you to it. I see you. You have spoken a lot of words yet again without giving your own opinion. What would you have done differently had you been a general? Would you have let this conflict continue, letting your friends and loved ones die? You'd seriously value the life of unsponsored Gangsters over those of your hard working people? That just doesn't make any sense to me in the slightest. Of course no one wanted it to go this way but what else do you do when people refuse to take invites. Do you let your enemies dictate the pace of the conflict? And yes, Ten to one. In this conflict there were hundreds that died and tens of Gangsters were killed. The rest were housed. I don't know how you picked out 9 blue names from the obits and just assume that everyone was being shoveled under. But let's stay on topic. You have strong opinions about what should have happened without actually coming up with an alternative. What would you have done differently? |

I'm sorry I misspoke before. "What would you have done differently that wasn't already tried by the leadership". The homeless were reached out too. People were contacted to be housed. It was either ignored or straight up refused. I'm asking with those being the facts, what would you have done differently? |

TheNavigator , I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed how much confidence you have in your laughably bad and utterly clueless assessment of Rudy , his speech, and his intentions. The great points which had already been brought up by Insta and Never on both sides of the issue demonstrate as well as anything that this is a perfectly legitimate discussion to have after a war. Those who have already spoken clearly have some very different views on the topic, yet managed to talk about them in a constructive and informative way. Regardless of what your opinion is, perhaps you should try following their examples if you hope to be taken seriousely. In any case, thank you for a good laugh. |

Never hearing what TheNavigator said thinks he doesn't deserve a response and decides to keep mum. Thinking in his mind, he said: hear the warrior speaking... haha. He must be one of those scared group gunning down the innocent. if the game label them innocent, then they are. Why is he trying to justify their evil act? |

How am I wrong in assuming that Goethe? You clearly don't know all the players who are involved. I recommend you get better acquainted with the big picture before you make such assumptions. I unfortunately have the curse of knowing too much. "Let their fear fill in the blanks" is one of their favorite tactics and this is a blatant attempt at that. It's an attempt to get people to distrust the current leadership. |

Funny how you say 'we' are all waiting. Are you part of a group? Never got a point there. Why would I try to convince someone that talks about himself in plural and gives false information about a bag of hot air? You say it's not the time to pretend.. Fine. Then I won't pretend to be bothered by clearing things up for you. |
