I find it hard to choose a genre as it depends on my mood at the time, but as someone who, albeit amateurishly writes, I find it helps to read all genre's, not just the one's you favour to improve, but also for your own appreciation.

Little Women by Louisa May Alcott and the 90's version starring Wynona Ryder. The most recent adaptation was charming but ultimately fell flat to the performances given in the 90's version. Perhaps I am biased when it comes to Kirsten Dunst as Amy and Clare Danes as Beth and who can forget Christian Bale as Laurie but it really is a charming adaptation of the book and well worth the watch. Also the soundtrack is amazing. 

Oh, from the title I thought the topic was to discuss movies made from books stories, and whether those movies are good and reflect well the original story of the book.

Generally hate movies that are based upon books - they miss so much out, or the movie makers change things they shouldn't.  Always remember reading The Firm, by John Grisham....the killer is female...for some reason, in the movie they made it a guy, which ruined half of the plot you were expecting.

I find it hard to sit through most movies, mainly because I love multitasking and have a hard time paying attention to the actual movie. Pre-pandemic, if in a theater, I'm not beyond falling asleep. I did manage to stay awake long enough to watch Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil a few years back. Good, but the book was much better.

My favorite when I was younger was To Kill A Mockingbird.

Harry Potter is definitely one for me, was a big part of my childhood, only got around to reading the books recently. So really it's been a fun ride and seeing the things that were left out of the film version, adds a whole deeper meaning with it.

I like action mystery and super powers, so I would go anything that category.

Sherlock Holmes books were fun to read. I still remember how exciting it was to read the Hound of Baskervilles chapter.

The movies were also great to watch. Loved Robert Downey Jr. as Sherlock.

Ever since I was younger, I really liked the book To Kill A Mockingbird. I read it for three consecutive years during middle school. We read it as a class book in 8th grade and got to watch the movie. I really enjoyed both the book and the movie.

I hope the book The Alchemyst becomes a book but I probably wouldn't like it much compared to reading the book. People say watching the movie after reading the book can be a disappointment, but I say people should try watching the movie to a book, then reading the actual book after. You'll already have a visual idea of everything happening

I am more of a horror buff for books and movie. I prefer the gore and the thrill of them.
