The Hobbit the book? Excellent. I love it and the tone.  The Hobbit the THREE movies? I hated them.  SO dark, gritty and too much CGI. :( 

I prefer books as movies normally because you can to notice better the details. Vampire Diaries is the only series that I loved more than the books.

Does anyone have a good recommendation on adventure/action books, that would be worth a good read.

I can't forget to mention the Godfather, both the book and the movies were amazing. Plus the book is 100% more detailed and addicting. Mario did a excelent job.

The YA movie The Perks of Being a Wallflower had, to my surprise, the same director as the author of the book. While some elements of the book were very difficult to put on film, I think he succeeded in large to stay true to the book. I, at least, actually prefer the movie over the book.

Ready Player One is an awesome book, while the movie didn't live up to the book it still was a fun rant. I'm eagerly waiting on Ready Player Two coming out!!

I thoroughly enjoy reading any Nicholas Sparks novel. My favourites are The Notebook, The Last Song and Safe Haven. SO many of his novels have been put to film, usually referred as Chick Flicks, they are very emotional and I usually cry every time. I just finished rereading The Best of Me two days ago and now I want to watch the movie version again. They are usually sad.

I like action movies and some times comedy but its hard to pick a favorit 

I kind of like marvels movies 

Ready Player One. The movie stands up on its own, though a very simplified version of the film. But you come to expect that. The book was great though, and the concept is not to far off where we may end up one day.

Not a movie per se, but the Phantom of the Opera was a fun read and an even better play/musical :)

When it comes to books I like anything with an in depth adventure with tons of hardship. As for movies, I prefer lots of action.

I'd like to recomend a book called "Abraham Lincoln - vampire hunter". The book is amazing, well written, it really feels its a true story based on history events. The movie sucks thou. I dont even know why they tried it.

Please, read it. You will love ir.

The Divergent was a book I could NOT put down until I read it all the way through. It had everything you would want in a book. Action, humor, feels. The sense of urgency was unreal.

The movie comes out and I'm so excited to take my wife to the movies to see it because she doesn't read so often...just to fall asleep at the movies. It doesnt do it justice! Now I'm sure she thinks i just pretend to like books -_- Lol. In any case, read the book, dont watch the movie!
